Bengaluru branch of the BIS – two-days Mentors Training Program

Bangalore: The Bengaluru branch of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, organized a two-day Residential Mentors Training Programme for teacher mentors of BIS Standards Clubs. This event was held at The Rialto Hotel on July 30th and 31st, 2024.



The programme was attended by 25 mentors from various districts of Karnataka, representing schools and colleges. The goal was to equip these mentors with the knowledge and skills needed to implement BIS-related activities within their institutions. This includes standards writing competitions, Quiz and organizing exposure visits to manufacturing and testing organizations.



Shri. Suresh Kumar K M, KAS, Joint Director, Department of Technical Education, Karnataka, highlighted the significance of standards in everyday life and discussed their impact on safety and quality of life. He encouraged participants to engage actively and maximize their learning from the experienced faculty. Additionally, he spoke about the Gross Enrollment Ratio in Karnataka, which is 36%, and advocated for Quality Management System certification for all educational institutes.



Shri Manjunatha K, Block Resource Coordinator, BEO, Bangalore North 1, served as the Guest of Honor. He urged attendees to use the BIS Care app to verify product authenticity and to promote the establishment of more Standards Clubs in Karnataka’s educational institutions.



Smt. Vinodini Kishore, Sc D and Joint Director at BIS, conducted technical sessions covering Quality and Standardization concepts, the BIS website and portals, and the BIS Care app.

The program also included discussions on roles and opportunities for teacher mentors, research scholars, and students in the domain of quality and standards. These sessions were conducted by BIS resource support team members Shri. S. D. Selvan, former Director (BIS), and Shri. Mohan Kumar, P. N. The event was coordinated by Smt. Pritha Roy, Standard Promotion Officer, along with the BIS Bengaluru team.

“ಐಸಿಡಿಎಸ್ ಉಳಿಸಿ; ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ” ಆಂದೋಲನ ಸಮಿತಿಯ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಶಿಫಾರಸು.

ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಇಲಾಖೆಯು ಹೊಸ ಪರಿಕಲ್ಪನೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ 4 ರಿಂದ 6 ವರ್ಷದ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಎಲ್.ಕೆ.ಜಿ-ಯುಕೆಜಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣವನ್ನು ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಶಾಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನೀಡಲು ಸುತ್ತೋಲೆ ಹೊರಡಿಸಿದೆ. ಇದುವರೆಗೂ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ 2524 ಶಾಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದರಿಂದ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಐಸಿಡಿಎಸ್ ಯೋಜನೆಯಿಂದ ನಡೆಯುವ ಅಂಗನವಾಡಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಗಳಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಶಾಲಾಪೂರ್ವ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಕುರಿತ ಇಸಿಸಿಇ ಅಂಶಗಳ ಜಾರಿಗೆ ತೀವ್ರ ಧಕ್ಕೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದಲೇ ಕಳೆದ ಜೂನ್ 3 ರಿಂದ ರಾಜ್ಯವ್ಯಾಪಿ ಹೋರಾಟಗಳು ಆರಂಭವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಜೂನ್ 19 ಮತ್ತು 20 ರಂದು ಬೃಹತ್ ಹೋರಾಟ ನಡೆದಿದೆ. ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಇಲಾಖೆಯವರ ವಾದ ಏನೆಂದರೆ, ಬಡವರ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್ ಕಲಿಸಬೇಕು. ಒಂದನೇ ತರಗತಿಗೆ ಬರುವ ಮಗು ಶಾಲಾ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಗೆ ಸಿದ್ಧವಾಗಿರಬೇಕು ಮತ್ತು ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಶಾಲೆಗಳ ದಾಖಲಾತಿಯನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಬೇಕು, ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಮಕ್ಕಳು 4 ವರ್ಷದಿಂದ ಮೇಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವರಿರುವಾಗಲೇ ಪೂರ್ವ ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣವನ್ನು ಕೊಡಬೇಕು ಎಂಬುದಾಗಿದೆ.

ಯಾವುದೇ ಮಗುವಿನ 40% ದೈಹಿಕ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆ 85% ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆಯಾಗುವ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಲಾಲನೆ-ಪಾಲನೆ. ಪೋಷಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಶಿಕ್ಷಣವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವ ಸಲುವಾಗಿಯೇ 1975 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮಗ್ರ ಶಿಶು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಯೋಜನೆ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಗಿ, ಅಂಗನವಾಡಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರದ ಪರಿಕಲ್ಪನೆ ಕೂಡ ಬಂದಿರುವುದು. ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಇಲಾಖೆಯು ಹೊರಡಿಸಿರುವ ಈ ಮೇಲಿನ ಆದೇಶದಿಂದ ಅಂಗನವಾಡಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ 3- 4 ವರ್ಷದ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಮಾತ್ರವೇ ಉಳಿಯುತ್ತವೆ. ಆಗ ಅಂಗನವಾಡಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ತುಂಬಾ ಕಡಿಮೆ ಆಗುತ್ತದೆ. 49 ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಐಸಿಡಿಎಸ್ ಮೂಲಕ ನಡೆಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವ ಬಾಲ್ಯದ ಆರೈಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ (ಇಸಿಸಿಇ) ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಅಂಶಗಳನ್ನು ಒಳಗೊಂಡ ಶಾಲಾಪೂರ್ವ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣಕ್ಕೆ ಗಂಭೀರವಾಗಿ ಧಕ್ಕೆಯಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಈ ಯೋಜನೆ ಯಾವಾಗ ಬೇಕಾದರೂ ಕುಸಿದು ಕಣ್ಮರೆಯಾಗುವ ಸಾಧ್ಯತೆ ಇದೆ.

ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಾವು “ಐಸಿಡಿಎಸ್ ಉಳಿಸಿ; ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ” ಆಂದೋಲನ ಸಮಿತಿಯ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಈ ಕೆಳಕಂಡ ಶಿಫಾರಸುಗಳನ್ನು ಸರ್ಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ನೀಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ.

1. ಮಹಿಳೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಮತ್ತು ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಪರಸ್ಪರ ಚರ್ಚಿಸದೆ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಏಕಮುಖವಾಗಿ ತಂದಿರುವ ಈ ಸುತ್ತೋಲೆಗಳಿಂದ ಆಗಿರುವ ಗೊಂದಲವನ್ನು ನಿವಾರಿಸಲು, ಎರಡೂ ಇಲಾಖೆಗಳು ಪರಸ್ಪರ ಪ್ರಜಾಸತ್ತಾತ್ಮಕವಾಗಿ ಚರ್ಚಿಸಿ, ಎರಡೂ ಇಲಾಖೆಗಳು ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಪೂರ್ವ ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದ ಅಗತ್ಯತೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಅದರ ಪರಿಣಾಮಗಳನ್ನು ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ಮಾಡಲು ತಜ್ಞರ ಸಮಿತಿಯನ್ನು ರಚಿಸಬೇಕು. ಅಲ್ಲಿಯ ತನಕ 11-6-2024 ರ ಮತ್ತು 14-05-2024 ರ ಆದೇಶಗಳನ್ನು ತಡೆಹಿಡಿಯಬೇಕು, ಕಲ್ಯಾಣ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಪ್ರಾದೇಶಿಕ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಮಂಡಳಿಯ 7 ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗಳ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯನ್ನೂ ಒಳಗೊಂಡು ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಎಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಜಾರಿಯಾಗಬಾರದು.

2 . ಅಂಗನವಾಡಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರದ ಹೆಸರು ‘ಪೂರ್ವ ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಕೇಂದ್ರ’ ಎಂದು ಪರಿವರ್ತಿಸುವುದು.

3. PUC ಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಹತೆ ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ಮತ್ತು ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಶಾಲೆಯ ಆವರಣದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಅಂಗನವಾಡಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಮೊದಲ ಆದ್ಯತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು.

4. ನಿರಂತರ ಕೌಶಲ್ಯಭರಿತ ತರಬೇತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವುದು.

5. ಸರ್ಕಾರದಿಂದ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಸಮವಸ್ತ್ರ, ಬ್ಯಾಗ್ ಮತ್ತು ಪೂಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡುವುದು.

6. ECCE ನೀಡಿದ ಮಗುವಿಗೆ T.C ಕೊಡುವ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ತರಬೇಕು.

7. ಅಂಗನವಾಡಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತರನ್ನು “ಶಿಕ್ಷಕಿ” ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರಿಸಿ ಪದನಾಮ ಬದಲಿಸುವುದು.

8. ICDS ನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ECCE ಗೆ ಅನುದಾನವನ್ನು ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಳ ಮಾಡುವುದು.

9. ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಅತಿಥಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರಿಗೆ ನೀಡುವ ಗೌರವಧನವನ್ನು ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತೆಯರಿಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚುವರಿಯಾಗಿ ನೀಡುವುದು.

10. ECCE ಶಿಕ್ಷಣವನ್ನು ಅಂಗನವಾಡಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಕೊಡುವ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಕಾನೂನು ರೂಪಿಸುವುದು.

11. ಅಂಗನವಾಡಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತೆಯರನ್ನು ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಚುನಾವಣಾ ಕೆಲಸಗಳಿಂದ ಮುಕ್ತಿಗೊಳಿಸುವುದು. (ಚುನಾವಣಾ ಕೆಲಸಗಳಿಗೆ ನಿವೃತ್ತ ಅಂಗನವಾಡಿ ನೌಕರರನ್ನು ಬಳಸಬಹುದು).

12. ICDS ಯೋಜನೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕ ನಿರ್ದೇಶನಾಲಯವಾಗಿ ಪರಿವರ್ತಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಪ್ರೊ. ಟಿ. ಆರ್. ಚಂದ್ರಶೇಖರ ಡಾ. ವಿಜಯಮ್ಮ,ಬಡಗಲಪುರ ನಾಗೇಂದ್ರ,ಬಿ. ಶ್ರೀಪಾದ ಭಟ್,ಕೆ.ಎಸ್. ವಿಮಲಾ, ಶಶಾಂಕ್,ಎಸ್. ವರಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಿ, ಎಚ್. ಎಸ್. ಸುನಂದಾ ರವರುಗಳು ಪ್ರೆಸ್ ಕ್ಲಬ್ ಆಫ್ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಪತ್ರಿಕಾ ಪ್ರಕಟಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಐಸಿಡಿಎಸ್ ಉಳಿಸಿ; ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಆಂದೋಲನ ಸಮಿತಿಯ ಪರವಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು, ಜೂನ್ 09, 2024: ಪರೀಕ್ಷಾ ಪೂರ್ವಸಿದ್ಧತಾ ಸೇವೆಗಳ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರದಲ್ಲೇ ಮುಂಚೂಣಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಆಕಾಶ್ ಎಜುಕೇಷನಲ್ ಸರ್ವೀಸಸ್ ಲಿಮಿಟೆಡ್ (AESL) ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಶಾಖೆಯ ನಾಲ್ವರು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿತ ಜೆಇಇ ಅಡ್ವಾನ್ಸ್ಡ್ 2024 ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಟಾಪ್ ಸ್ಕೋರರ್ ಆಗಿ ಹೊರಹೊಮ್ಮಿದ್ದು ಮಹತ್ಸಾಧನೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ಗಮನಾರ್ಹ ಸಾಧನೆಯು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಕಠಿಣ ಪರಿಶ್ರಮ, ಸಮರ್ಪಣೆ ಮತ್ತು AESL ಒದಗಿಸಿದ ಉತ್ಕೃಷ್ಟ ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟದ ತರಬೇತಿಗೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿತ ಫಲಿತಾಂಶವನ್ನು ಇಂದು ಐಐಟಿ ಮದ್ರಾಸ್ ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಿದೆ.
ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಕೃಷ್ಣ ಸಾಯಿ ಶಿಶಿರ್ ಅವರು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ (AIR) 67 ನೇ ಸ್ಥಾನ ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದರೆ, ಅಭಿಷೇಕ್ ಜೈನ್ 78 ನೇ ಸ್ಥಾನ, ಸಾನ್ವಿ ಜೈನ್ 421 ನೇ ಸ್ಥಾನ ಮತ್ತು ಮೇಘಾರಾವ್ ಅವರು 896 ನೇ ಸ್ಥಾನ ಗಳಿಸಿ ಇಡೀ ರಾಜ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಕೀರ್ತಿ ತಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಈ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಜಾಗತಿಕವಾಗಿ ಕಠಿಣ ಪ್ರವೇಶ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಎಂದು ವ್ಯಾಪಕವಾಗಿ ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಲಾಗಿರುವ ಜೆಇಇ ಅಡ್ವಾನ್ಸ್ಡ್ ಗೆ ಸಿದ್ಧತೆ ನಡೆಸುವ ಸಲುವಾಗಿ ಎಇಎಸ್ಎಲ್ ನ ತರಗತಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶ ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದರು. ಇವರು ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನು ಸಮರ್ಪಕವಾಗಿ ಅರ್ಥಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಶಿಸ್ತಿನ ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ವೇಳಾಪಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಪಾಲಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಈ ಯಶಸ್ಸು ಸಾಧಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. “ಆಕಾಶ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯು ನಮಗೆ ಮಾಡಿರುವ ಸಹಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ನಾವು ಕೃತಜ್ಞರಾಗಿರುತ್ತೇವೆ. ಆದರೆ, AESL ನೀಡಿರುವ ವಿಷಯ ಮತ್ತು ತರಬೇತಿ ಇಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೆ ಈ ಅಲ್ಪಾವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವು ವಿವಿಧ ವಿಷಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅನೇಕ ಪರಿಕಲ್ಪನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಗ್ರಹಿಸಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗುತ್ತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಈ ಅಸಾಧಾರಣ ಸಾಧನೆಯ ಕುರಿತು ಹೆಮ್ಮೆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಅಭಿನಂದಿಸಿರುವ ಆಕಾಶ್ ಎಜುಕೇಷನಲ್ ಸರ್ವೀಸಸ್ ಲಿಮಿಟೆಡ್ (AESL) ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ವ್ಯವಹಾರ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥರಾದ ಧೀರಜ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಮಿಶ್ರಾ ಅವರು, “ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಸಾಧನೆ ತೋರಿರುವ ನಮ್ಮ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಅಭಿನಂದಿಸಲು ಬಯಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಅವರ ಈ ಸಾಧನೆಯು ಅವರ ಪರಿಶ್ರಮ ಮತ್ತು ಬದ್ಧತೆಗೆ ಹಿಡಿದ ಕನ್ನಡಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಅದೇ ರೀತಿ ಈ ಸಾಧನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಪೋಷಕರ ಪಾತ್ರವೂ ಸಾಕಷ್ಟಿದೆ. ನಮ್ಮ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಭವಿಷ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಡುವ ಎಲ್ಲ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಗಳಿಗೆ ನಾವು ಶುಭ ಹಾರೈಸುತ್ತೇವೆ” ಎಂದರು.
ಪ್ರತಿವರ್ಷ ಐಐಟಿಗಳು ಜೆಇಇ ಮೇನ್ಸ್ ಅರ್ಹತೆ ಹೊಂದಿದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಜೆಇಇ ಅಡ್ವಾನ್ಸ್ಡ್ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಯನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸುತ್ತವೆ. ಜೆಇಇ ಮೇನ್ ಅನ್ನು ದೇಶಾದ್ಯಂತ ಇರುವ ವಿವಿಧ ನ್ಯಾಷನಲ್ ಇನ್ ಸ್ಟಿಟ್ಯೂಟ್ ಆಫ್ ಟೆಕ್ನಾಲಾಜೀಸ್ (ಎನ್ಐಟಿಗಳು) ಮತ್ತು ಇತರ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಅನುದಾನಿತ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳ ಪ್ರವೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ನಡೆಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಇನ್ನು ಜೆಇಇ ಅಡ್ವಾನ್ಸ್ಡ್ ಅನ್ನು ಇಂಡಿಯನ್ ಇನ್ ಸ್ಟಿಟ್ಯೂಟ್ ಆಫ್ ಟೆಕ್ನಾಲಾಜಿ (ಐಐಟಿ)ಗಳ ಪ್ರವೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಜೆಇಇ ಮೇನ್ ಮತ್ತು ಜೆಇಇ ಅಡ್ವಾನ್ಸ್ಡ್ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಗಳೆರಡನ್ನೂ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. 2024 ನೇ ಸಾಲಿನ ಜೆಇಇ (ಅಡ್ವಾನ್ಸ್ಡ್) ಪೇಪರ್ 1 ಮತ್ತು ಪೇಪರ್ 2 ರ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಗೆ 1,80,200 ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಹಾಜರಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಈ ಪೈಕಿ 48,248 ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಜೆಇಇ (ಅಡ್ವಾನ್ಸ್ಡ್) 2024 ಅರ್ಹತೆ ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

21 Students of Aakash Educational Services Limited (AESL) from Bangalore become top scorers in NEET UG 2024

Padmanabh Menon secured AIR 74 by scoring 716, P. Preetam R P AIR 141 by scoring 715, Nandan AIR 173 scoring 715, Sanvi Jain AIR 189 by scoring 715, Thrupti G M AIR 334 by scoring 711 and Rushil AIR 354 by scoring 710 amongst others.The students enrolled in AESL’s classroom program to prepare for NEET, widely regarded as one of the toughest entrance exams globally. They attribute their remarkable success to their rigorous understanding of concepts and strict adherence to a disciplined study schedule. “We are grateful that Aakash has helped us with both. BYJU’S starts new batches in 240 centres across India

May 22, 2024: BYJU’S Tuition Centres (BTCs), India’s largest and strongest network of learning centres, have started batches for the 2024-25 academic session in full swing across their 240 locations. BTCs provide classroom-based programs for K-12 students, complemented by access to BYJU’S entire digital learning universe.

For the current academic year, BYJU’S has dropped the annual fee for BTCs to just INR 36,000, making it more affordable than even neighbourhood tuition classes, while offering a far superior quality of curriculum, pedagogy, and delivery. BYJU’S has also seen a strong inbound interest for the role of teachers, receiving nearly 1200 applications per day over the last two months.

On May 19th, Byju Raveendran, Founder and CEO of BYJU’S, addressed all BTC centre heads and shared an innovative new business model, based on intrapreneurship. “I want you to see yourselves as part-owners of these centres, not just managers,” he said. Under this model, BTC centre heads will receive a share of profits from their centre’s operations, provided they meet minimum thresholds for admissions and quality over a one-year period. “We have invested crores of rupees in each centre. And you get to part-own it, free of cost! There is a floor we have prepared for you. But there is no ceiling. How much you want to grow is up to you,” he added. The heads have also been empowered to hire their own teams and even rehire former BYJU’S employees.

“BTCs have huge potential to transform the supplementary education experience for millions of students across India,” said Byju Raveendran. “With the right programs, dedicated teachers, enabling technology and a sustainable financial model, I believe we can take BTCs to remarkable heights in terms of both scale and impact.”
