This A+ accreditation achievement is reflected in the varsity’s cumulative CGPA of 3.26, with top scores across key domains: Curricular Aspects (3.67), Teaching-Learning and Evaluation (3.64), Infrastructure and Learning Resources (3.9), and Student Support and Progression (3.75). Bangalore, October 23, 2024: Ashoka University, India’s premier interdisciplinary higher education and research institution, today announced that all Fellows selected for the upcoming cohort of the Young India Fellowship (Class of 2025-26) will receive partial or full scholarships. The admissions process opened on *October 15, 2024*, offering scholarships ranging from 25% to a full 100% waiver covering tuition, residence, and meals along with stipends for additional financial assistance. The prestigious Chancellor’s Merit Scholarship will also continue to be awarded in the Class of 2026.
Currently, 81% of the Young India Fellows are either partially or fully funded with 60% of the cohort benefiting from a full tuition waiver or more. Notably about one-third of the Class of 2025 Fellows identify as first-generation college goers, and 61% as female. With this new initiative, Ashoka University is furthering its commitment to making the Fellowship more accessible to exceptional and deserving individuals coming from all walks of life. The increase in scholarships for the current and next cohort has been made possible primarily through the generous support of HDFC Bank.

*Eligibility Criteria and Selection Process: YIF Class of 2026*
The Class of 2026 will comprise around 100 Fellows. Candidates of all age groups and nationalities, across diverse academic, professional, geographical and socioeconomic backgrounds, who have a recognised undergraduate degree in any discipline by July 2025 or earlier (can be a final-year student at the time of application) are eligible to apply for the YIF.
The admissions process opened on *October 15, 2024* and is split into two rounds, with the first application deadline being *January 5, 2025.* Candidates are encouraged to apply early, even within a round, to partake in the rolling personal interviews process.
Aspiring candidates can apply by visiting *apply.ashoka.edu.in* to register and complete the online application. Following holistic assessment of applications, a number of candidates will be shortlisted for personal interviews. Additionally, some of these shortlisted candidates may be invited to interview for the Chancellor’s Merit Scholarship.
All Fellows who receive an offer of admission are guaranteed a minimum 25% tuition waiver, with some also being awarded the prestigious Chancellor’s Merit Scholarship. All admitted and waitlisted candidates will have the opportunity to apply for need-based Financial Aid, which goes upto a full-waiver on the entire fee along with stipends for additional assistance.

ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಉನ್ನತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣವನ್ನು ವ್ಯಾಪಕವಾಗಿ ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸುವ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಿಂದ ಬಹುಸಂಖ್ಯಾತ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಅನುಕೂಲಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ 06 (ಬಾಪೂಜಿನಗರ, ಮಲ್ಲೇಶ್ವರಂ, ಯಲಹಂಕ, ಮಡಿವಾಳ, ಕೆ.ಆರ್.ಪುರಂ, ಸುಂಕದಕಟ್ಟೆ.) ಪ್ರಾದೇಶಿಕ ಕೇಂದ್ರಗಳು ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ರಾಜ್ಯದಾದ್ಯಂತ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಒಟ್ಟು 36 ಪ್ರಾದೇಶಿಕ ಕೇಂದ್ರಗಳು ಕಾರ್ಯ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿವೆ, ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಪರೀಕ್ಷಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರಗಳು, ವಾರಾಂತ್ಯ ಸಂಪರ್ಕ ತರಗತಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ವಿಷಯಗಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಾಯೋಗಿಕ ತರಗತಿಗಳು ನಡೆಯುತ್ತವೆ.
ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಅನುಕೂಲಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ರಾಜ್ಯಾದ್ಯಾಂತ 150 ಕಲಿಕಾರ್ಥಿ ಸಹಾಯ ಕೇಂದ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಸ್ನೇಹಿ ಉನ್ನತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣವನ್ನು ದೂರ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಒದಗಿಸುತ್ತಾ 25 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ಹಬ್ಬದ ಸಂಭ್ರಮಾಚರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಿ ಮುನ್ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದೆ. 18 ವರ್ಷದಿಂದ 80 ವರ್ಷ ವಯೋಮಾನದವರೆಗಿನ ಲಕ್ಷಾಂತರ ಮಂದಿಗೆ ವಿದ್ಯೆ ನೀಡಿ, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಮನೆ ಬಾಗಿಲಿಗೆ ಉನ್ನತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ನೀಡುತ್ತಾ ಬರುತ್ತಿದೆ.
10+2/ಪದವಿ ಅನ್ನು ಮುಗಿಸಿ ನಂತರ ತಮ್ಮ ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ, ಕೌಟುಂಬಿಕ ಕಾರಣಗಳಿಂದಾಗಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಉನ್ನತ ವಿದ್ಯಾಭ್ಯಾಸದ ಕನಸನ್ನು ಅರ್ಧದಲ್ಲೇ ಮೊಟಕುಗೊಳಿಸಿ ಕೊಂಡಿರುವಂತಹ, ಹಾಗೇಯೇ ಗೃಹಿಣಿಯರು, ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ, ಅರೆ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ, ಖಾಸಗಿ ಕಂಪನಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ, ಪ್ಯಾಕ್ಟರಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನೌಕರರಾಗಿ/ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಯ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವವರು ಕರಾಮುವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಉನ್ನತ(ಸ್ನಾತಕ/ಸ್ನಾತಕೋತ್ತರ) ವಿದ್ಯಾಭ್ಯಾಸದ ಕನಸನ್ನು ನನಸು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಕರಾಮುವಿ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ 06 ಪ್ರಾದೇಶಿಕ ಕೇಂದ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶಾತಿಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪೋಷಕರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸುವುದೇನೆಂದರೆ ಕರಾಮುವಿಯ “www.ksoumysuru.ac.in” 3 KSOU Admission Portal ಅಧಿಕೃತ ವೆಬ್ ಸೈಟ್ ಅರ್ಜಿ ಭರ್ತಿ ಮಾಡಿ ನಂತರ ಪ್ರಾದೇಶಿಕ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಖುದ್ದಾಗಿ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿ ದಾಖಲಾತಿಗಳ ಪರಿಶೀಲನೆ ನಂತರ ಆನ್ಲೈನ್ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ಪ್ರವೇಶಾತಿ ಶುಲ್ಕ ಪಾವತಿಸಿ ಸಿದ್ದಪಾಠಗಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯಬಹುದು.
ಇತರೆ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅಥವಾ Regular ಆಗಿ ಓದುತ್ತಿರುವ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಮೊದಲ ವರ್ಷ ವ್ಯಾಸಾಂಗ ಮಾಡಿ ಕಾರಣಾಂತರಗಳಿಂದ ಓದಲು ಆಗದಿದ್ದರೆ ಅಥವಾ Regular ಆಗಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾಭ್ಯಾಸ ಮುಂದುವರೆಸಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗದಿದ್ದರೆ, ಅಂತಹ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಆರ್ಹತಾ ಮಾನದಂಡಗಳನ್ನು ಪೂರೈಸಿ 2ನೇ ಮತ್ತು 3ನೇ ವರ್ಷಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಕ್ತ ವಿವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಲ್ಯಾಟರಲ್ ಪ್ರವೇಶ ಅಥವಾ ನೇರ ಪ್ರವೇಶ ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ವಿದ್ಯಾಭ್ಯಾಸ ಮುಂದುವರೆಸಬಹುದು.

Bengaluru: RV College of Engineering (RVCE) and RV-SKILLS, Center for Emerging Technologies established under RV Educational Institutions are exploring the possibilities of getting their students trained by semiconductor and other emerging technology companies in Taiwan.
Dr. Geetha, Vice Principal of RV College of Engineering and Mr. Basavaraj Nagaraju CEO of RV-SKILLS, were in Taiwan from August 25 to September 3. During the visit, they met the representatives of various companies and educational institutions to build a partnership for conducting training for the RV students. They identified partners in Taiwan to impart training in the best technologies and processes to their students. This would help in empowering meeting market demand.
Moreover, the industries have identified more than 50% business limitations for expanding and investing in semiconductor process is lack of skilled engineers. Dr. Geetha and Mr Nagaraju have visited the globally acclaimed National Tsing Hua University (NTHU), Minghisn University of Science and Technology, Hsinchu Science Park, Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), among others. TSMC is one of the largest companies that supply more than 65% of the global chips. Its clients include Apple, Google, Nvidia, and Qualcomm.
Mr Nagaraju, while sharing the outcome of his ongoing visit in a statement, has said RV-SKILLS was the first training institute in India to invest and develop the industry-ready training programs. Now, it is planning to expand the training programs through collaborations with industry leaders in Taiwan. The goal is to equip RV-SKILLS and RVCE students, he added. “We have identified emerging technologies, and we want our students to get trained in them. Taiwan has been successful in building a right ecosystem that matches the market demand because it has clear vision, focused investments, and appropriate infrastructure support,” he added.
He further pointed out that during his visits, he found that some of the universities, on their premises, have factory setups including fabrication facilities, packaging, testing, and assembly systems. This has been done ahead of the industry demand. They have collaborated with the industry as well as the government, he pointed out.
The RV Educational Institutions initiative comes at a time when India has made the semiconductor sector a priority one. The RVEI is studying the evolution and adoption of the latest technologies in its colleges’ infrastructure and curriculum. Taiwan’s commitment and progress in the sector is an eye-opener.
Dr K S Geetha, Vice Principal & professor, RVCE, said, “We want to adopt all the learning from universities in Taiwan. Meeting experts in the field has given insights. We are committed to making similar investments in our institutions in the coming days. RVCE has been pioneers in adopting new ideas and proactive with the industrial growth cycle. With semiconductors being the priority segment in the country and the world is also looking for China+1 strategy, we wanted to study Taiwan’s evolution and adoption of technologies related to the segment for India and for the world.”
