BANSSIA was founded in the year 1989 by 25 like minded MEME units of Kamakshipalya and was later extended to all the MSME’s covering West of chord road, Kamakshiplaya, Vrushabavathinagar till sunkadakatee.

Today BANSSIA boosts of more than 1300 members. The area covers mainly Private industrial Areas which lacked basis infrastructure and amenities.

BANSSIA has been fighting for the justice for MSME since inception, on various issues with regards to basic infrastructure, MSME Rights. Besides Banssia has all along stood by MSME’s during the Cauvery issue, Power shortage, Trade license, and in fighting the latest pandemic.

During the Pandemic BANSSIA took a initiative and helped more than 7000 Laborer’s and staff members to get vaccinated.

MSME’s have always been a neglected lot compared to IT and Agricultural sector. But a Messiah came to the rescue of MSME’s in this area which falls under the constituency of Govindrajnagar which is headed by the Local MLA Mr. V somanna ji who is also the Housing Minister andminister for infrastructure in GOK.

Due to the empathy of the Minister the basic infrastructure was upgraded to international standards and Industrial estate became A Model industrial area compared to all the industrial suburbs developed even by the government.

Mr. V Somanna has also extended his help in building our dream project BANSSIA Bhawan. This Bhawan will have a secretariat for BANSSIA members which will help the members to get the following benefits.

Hon’ble Karnataka Minister Dr. Murugesh R. Nirani inaugurates the 1st Edition of IIJS Tritiya in Bangalore

  • The show features more than 800 exhibitors and over 1,500 stalls
  • GJEPC is supporting the Jewellers Association Bengaluru in setting up a Jewellery Park in Karnataka 

National, 17th March 2023: India’s apex body, The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) presents India International Jewellery Show – IIJS Tritiya – in Southern India at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC) from 17th to 20th March 2023 – a month prior to Akshaya Tritiya, the auspicious gold jewellery-buying festival. IIJS Tritiya follows the stupendous success of IIJS Premiere – Bengaluru 2021, which revealed the latent potential of Southern region. 

The inauguration of IIJS Tritiya 2023 was graced by Dr. Murugesh R. Nirani, Minister for Large and Medium Industries, Government of Karnataka (Chief Guest); and Shri T. S. Kalyanaraman, Managing Director of Kalyan Jewellers (Guest of Honour); along with Shri Vipul Shah, Chairman, GJEPC; Shri Kirit Bhansali, Vice Chairman, GJEPC; Shri R. Arulanandan, Director of the Department of Commerce; Shri Suresh Kumar Ganna, President, Jewellers Association Bengaluru; Shri Nirav Bhansali, Convener, National Exhibitions, GJEPC; Shri Sabyasachi Ray, ED, GJEPC along with others.

GJEPC and Jewellers Association Bengaluru (JAB) also signed a MoU during the inauguration with an objective of working towards the enhancement and development of jewellery manufacturing and trade in Karnataka. 

Dr. Murugesh R. Nirani, Minister for Large and Medium Industries, Government of Karnataka, said, “Karnataka is one state with multiple opportunities and possibilities and Bangalore is the epicenter of South India’s domestic and international trade. After establishing leadership position in technology, IT services, software, electronic manufacturing services, mobile phone handsets and semi-conductors, we are now aspiring to enhance our gem & jewellery business as this industry contributes significantly to India’s exports.  The upcoming gem & jewellery park in Karnataka will become a significant hub of South India and generate more than 1 lakh jobs.”

Kalyanaraman, Managing Director of Kalyan Jewellers, said, “The gem & jewellery business undergoes constant evolution and participating in IIJS shows regularly has helped in keeping us updated with the times. Mr. Vipul Shah, Chairman, GJEPC said, “IIJS Tritiya is poised to act as a catalyst for further advancement of the gem and jewellery industry in Karnataka, benefiting both manufacturers and retailers. We are already witnessing a surge in exports from this state. From April 2022 to February 2023, the gem and jewellery exports from Karnataka experienced a remarkable growth of 169%, reaching USD 150.33 million, as compared to last year. The show presents exporters from southern India the opportunity to take their business to the next level. Currently India’s overall gem & jewellery exports account for USD 40 billion and our goal is to reach USD 75 billion exports by 2030.”

“This exhibition not only offers exhibitors a chance to showcase their products but also provides them with invaluable insights into the diverse markets and their ever-changing tastes and trends,” added Mr. Shah.  

Speaking on the collaboration with Jewellers Association Bengaluru, Mr. Vipul Shah said, “GJEPC is supporting the Jewellers Association Bengaluru, in setting up a Jewellery Park in Karnataka. Discussions are underway with the state Government regarding the allocation and finalisation of land for the project.  This initiative aims to offer efficient assistance to jewellery manufacturers and traders seeking to expand their operations in the state of Karnataka. The project is expected to generate 1 lakh additional jobs in the sector for the people of Karnataka.”

Mr. Nirav Bhansali, Convener, National Exhibitions, GJEPC, said, “IIJS, as a B2B platform, has been instrumental in promoting and developing the gem & jewellery business in India. IIJS Tritiya along with Signature and Premiere, are likely to generate business of over Rs. 1 lakh Crore in 2023. We are also targeting to plant 1 lakh trees this year under the “One Earth” initiative towards our ultimate aim of making all our shows carbon-neutral.” 

IIJS Tritiya, the third exhibition under the IIJS banner, features more than 800 exhibitors and over 1,500 stalls spread across Halls 4 and 5, covering an area of 45,000 square meters. 

The event is expected to attract over 15,000 trade visitors from 600 cities and will showcase a wide range of products, including gold and gold CZ studded jewellery, diamond, gemstone and other studded jewellery, silver jewellery, artefacts, and gifting items, loose stones, lab-grown diamonds, as well as laboratories and educational resources. Based on the feedback from visitors and exhibitors, IIJS Tritiya show timings have been adjusted from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm.

Hitachi Terminal Solutions inaugurates its Global CRM Manufacturing Facility in Bengaluru.

The company plans to employ more than 400 people in the future.

Bengaluru, January 27, 2023: Hitachi Terminal Solutions India, today announced that it is set to expand its manufacturing presence in India to complement the Government of India’s Make in India mission, through a first-of-its-kind Cash Recycling Machines (CRM) manufacturing facility in Bengaluru. This CRM manufacturing facility will be one of the largest facilities for Hitachi worldwide and is another step towards an expansive vision to build and strengthen a full-fledged Hitachi Campus in India, helping India to become self-reliant, and making it the Global supply hub for the world.

Spread over 1,08,000 square feet, this state-of-the-art manufacturing facility will enable the company to triple its current production capacity of 1,000 CRMS per month. The company also plans to employ more than 400 people in the future. Hitachi’s facility is a testament to the central government’s vision of transforming India as a manufacturing hub for rest of the world. The core engine of the CRMs (Cash Modules) are localised and will now be completely assembled in India with high level of automation in this new facility, and also reaching a significant status of Make in India.

India’s First Hybrid Learning Facility Inaugurated in Belgaum Maratha Mandal, in Collaboration with Tech Avant-Garde and AICTE

Maratha Mandal EngineeringCollege becomes the first one to adopt Hybrid Learning for its studentsand all AICTE-approved colleges

Bangalore, 02 January 2022: The pandemic has disturbed all sectors of society and revealed its fault lines—especially in our education system. The reaction to the crisis has generated some impressive responses, in some cases, public and private partnerships have filled the gaps.One such partnership is between All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Tech Avant-Garde (TAG) to transform AICTE approved colleges from Physical to Hybrid Mode. Under this programMarathaMandal Engineering College in Belgaum become the first AICTE approved college to become Hybrid. Now this institution is lockdown Proof and NEP 2020 complaint. Hybrid Learning – will create learner-centred experiences that are profoundly personalized, relevant and engaging.

In Maratha Mandal Engineering College,the following Hybrid Learning facilitiesare created viz, Hybrid Studio, Hybrid Hub Classroom and Node Classroom;now all the students of the college have access to the Hybrid Learning in the classroom and from anywhere. The Connected Learning Community System and Teaching Learning System have been implemented. The college is using Hybrid pedagogy – Gen Extra Muros and every student has been given device. Now the learning can happen from anywhere anyplace and on any device

The Hybrid Learning facility was inaugurated by DR. C.N Ashwath Narayan,Hon’ble Minister for Higher Education Karnataka. During his inaugural speech,he said “Digitalization of education will give our students an edge over others. This Hybrid Facility is a necessity; this will help our students to become global citizens. I am proud of Maratha Mandal to become the first Hybrid Learning College in India. Now after NEP2020 Karnataka is the first state to implement Hybrid Learning”. 

Speaking on the inauguration of the centre, Ali Sait, CEO, Tech Avant-Garde (TAG) said, “Hybrid Learning is both synchronous and asynchronous, virtual and bricks and mortar which explicitly embraces effective Pedagogies, Partnerships, Environments, and Digital to allow all learners to access, understand, create, co-create and refine new knowledge. It is the cornerstone for a new educational paradigm and allows teachers and learners to pursue possibilities previously out of reach for all but a few learners”.

Speaking on the event, Mrs. Rajshree Nagaraju, President of Maratha Mandal Engineering College  said, “I dedicate this achievement to the nation, now we will state producing students who are Future Ready. In order toprepare the educational Institutions to use hybrid modalities effectively, teacher training and preparation will become more and more important. TAG will train Teachers on teaching and learning platform, Connected Learning Community and Hybrid Learning Pedagogy. For thetransition from the Traditional to Hybrid School,TAG will partner with Microsoft and other partners.TAG will also collaborate with QCI to accredit educational institutions on Hybrid Learning. 

With implementation of technology and using the Hybrid Learning Pedagogy Educational Institutions can take advantage of Cognitive learning, Mixed Reality, Immersive Learning, IOT, AR-VR, STEM & STEAM Learning, and Artificial Intelligence, which will eventually change the way people learn.
