ಈ ಮೂಲಕ ತಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ವಿನಂತಿ ಮಾಡುವುದೇನೆಂದರೆ, ವಾಲ್ಮೀಕಿ ನಾಯಕ ಜನಾಂಗವು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಮಾರು 60 ಲಕ್ಷಕ್ಕೂ ಅಧಿಕ ಜನಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ಹೊಂದಿರುವುದು ತಮಗೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ತಿಳಿದಿರುವುದು ಸರಿಯಷ್ಟೇ. ಆದರೆ ಎಸ್.ಟಿ. ಮೀಸಲು ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊರತುಪಡಿಸಿ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸಹ ನಿರ್ಣಾಯಕ ಮತದಾರರ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ಹೊಂದಿರುತ್ತೇವೆ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ತಾವುಗಳು ಮುಂಬರುವ ವಿಧಾನಸಭಾ ಚುನಾವಣೆಗೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಜನಾಂಗದ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಾಶಸ್ತ್ರ ಕೊಟ್ಟು ತಮ್ಮ ಪಕ್ಷದ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಿಸಲು ಅವಕಾಶ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಕೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇವೆ. ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಲ್ಮೀಕಿ ನಾಯಕ ಜನಾಂಗವು ಸುಮಾರು 80 ವಿಧಾನಸಭಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವುದೇ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಯ ಫಲಿತಾಂಶದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರ್ಣಾಯಕ ಪಾತ್ರ ವಹಿಸಬಲ್ಲದು. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಎಲ್ಲ ಪಕ್ಷಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ತಾವುಗಳು ನಮ್ಮ ಜನಾಂಗರ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗಾಗಿ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆ ಮಾಡಲು ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ಪಕ್ಷದಿಂದ ಅವಕಾಶ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಈ ಮೂಲಕ ವಿನಂತಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ.
