Bengaluru, July 17: A.C. Srinivas, MLA from Pulakeshinagar constituency, inaugurated a newly installed water purification unit at St. Anthony’s School on Thursday. The initiative aims to provide clean and safe drinking water to the students, ensuring better health and hygiene on campus.
On the same occasion, Reverend Father Christopher White was officially appointed as the new parish priest of St. Francis Xavier Church, located near Coles Park. A special welcome ceremony was organized to mark the appointment, attended by key members of the Christian community who extended their heartfelt congratulations.
Among the dignitaries present at the event were Dr. Younus Jones, Mr. Stephen Raj, Mr. Yasir, Mr. Guna Shekhar, Mr. Fiyaz Khan, Mr. Vinod Benjamin, and Mr. Balaraj, along with other senior leaders from the local Congress committee.

Bengaluru, July 17, 2025: FICCI FLO Bengaluru—the women’s wing of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry—has officially launched FLO Santé, a pioneering initiative aimed at redefining sustainability, commerce, and community engagement through the lens of women’s entrepreneurship.
Spearheaded by Dekyi Yangtso Chawla, Chairperson of FICCI FLO Bengaluru, FLO Santé goes beyond the traditional trade fair format. It serves as a commercial platform that empowers women-led brands by offering them access to real markets, visibility, and revenue opportunities—moving away from the usual mentorship or token support approach.
Taking place on Friday, July 18 at Anantya, Gate 9, Palace Grounds, the day-long event will bring together over 130 women-led businesses spanning sustainable fashion, wellness, artisanal foods, homegrown beauty, and conscious living. The event is open to the public and free of charge.
A key attraction will be The Wedding Edit Pavilion, a curated space that blends couture, wellness, luxury gifting, and beauty. The concept is strategically aligned with government goals to bring women-led MSMEs into high-value sectors such as India’s $50 billion wedding industry—focusing on direct customer acquisition and not charity.

Bengaluru, July 17, 2025: A press conference was convened today at the Press Club of Bengaluru by the ‘Vishwa Nayaka Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Sene (R)’, where the organization’s State President Dr. Shivaraj K.N., along with members Dhananjay, Anju and others, made serious allegations against individuals operating under the guise of journalists.
Dr. Shivaraj alleged that three individuals – Atmananda alias Krishnegowda, Amruth Jayaram, and Naveen – are misusing the name of a fake news agency, AK News, to extort money from police officials, government employees, and private individuals. They are reportedly engaged in honey traps, death threats, false police complaints, and various forms of blackmail.
Serious Misuse of Media Identity
According to the organization, the accused are falsely portraying themselves as journalists to gain access and legitimacy. Under the banner of AK News, they have reportedly been intimidating several people by filing fake complaints in police stations, often using fabricated documents. They have also been exploiting sensitive issues like cow protection, social justice, and religious sentiment to mislead and pressure the public.
Criminal Records and Multiple FIRs
It was revealed that multiple FIRs have already been registered against the accused. Atmananda is reportedly involved in over ten criminal cases, Amruth Jayaram faces four cases, and Naveen has also been booked in several incidents. The nature of these cases ranges from attempted murder, bribery, extortion in the name of cow protection, and even false allegations of sexual assault – all allegedly carried out to extort money from the victims.
Call for Swift Government Action
The leaders of the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Sene urged the state government and police authorities to take immediate and stringent legal action against these individuals. They warned that the unchecked activities of such fake journalists are not only putting public safety at risk but also severely damaging the credibility of responsible media.
The organization emphasized that such fraudulent misuse of journalistic identity must be curbed without delay to safeguard citizens and uphold the integrity of the press.

ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ‘AK ನ್ಯೂಸ್’ ಎಂಬ ನಕಲಿ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಆತ್ಮಾನಂದ @ ಕೃಷ್ಣೇಗೌಡ, ಅಮೃತ ಜಯರಾಮ್ ಮತ್ತು ನವೀನ್ ಎಂಬವರ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಗಂಭೀರ ಆರೋಪಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊರ ಹಾಕಿದರು. ಆರೋಪಗಳ ಪ್ರಕಾರ, ಈ ಮೂವರು ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು, ವಿವಿಧ ಖಾಸಗಿ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳಿಂದ ಹನಿಟ್ರ್ಯಾಪ್, ಕೊಲೆ ಬೆದರಿಕೆ, ಅಕ್ರಮ ಹಣ ವಸೂಲಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸುಳ್ಳು ಪ್ರಕರಣಗಳನ್ನು ದಾಖಲೆಗೊಳಿಸಿ, ಬ್ಲಾಕ್ಮೇಲ್ ಮಾಡುವ ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತೊಡಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಅಕ್ರಮ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳ ಮಾದರಿ ಬಹಿರಂಗ: ಅವರು ಅನಧಿಕೃತವಾಗಿ “ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತ” ಎಂಬ ಹುದ್ದೆಯನ್ನು ದುರುಪಯೋಗ ಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಸೇವೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಹಲವರ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಸುಳ್ಳು ಆರೋಪಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ದೂರುಗಳನ್ನು ನಕಲಿ ದಾಖಲೆಗಳ ಆಧಾರದ ಮೇಲೆ ವಿವಿಧ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ದಾಖಲಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ‘ಗೋ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ’, ‘ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ನ್ಯಾಯ’, ಮತ್ತು ಇತರ ಇಮೋಷನಲ್ ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮುನ್ನೆಲೆಗೆ ತಂದು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರನ್ನು ಗೊಂದಲಕ್ಕೆ ದೂಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆಂದು ಪತ್ರಿಕಾಗೋಷ್ಠಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಿವರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ತಕ್ಷಣದ ಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಆಗ್ರಹ: ಡಾ. ಬಿ.ಆರ್. ಅಂಬೇಡ್ಕರ್ ಸೇನೆಯ ಮುಖಂಡರು ಈ ನಕಲಿ ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತರ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಕಠಿಣ ಕಾನೂನು ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿತ ಇಲಾಖೆಗಳಿಗೆ ವಿನಂತಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇಂತಹ ನಕಲಿ ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತರಿಂದ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರು ಮತ್ತು ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ನರಳುತ್ತಿರುವುದರಿಂದ, ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ಪತ್ರಿಕಾಗೋಷ್ಠಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆಗ್ರಹಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
