ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು: ಹಿಂದುಳಿದ ವರ್ಗಗಳ ಆಯೋಗದ ಶಿಫಾರಸ್ಸಿನಂತೆ ಮೀಸಲಾತಿಯನ್ನು ಶೇಕಡಾ 32 ರಿಂದ ಶೇಕಡಾ 51ಕ್ಕೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಲು ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಶಿಫಾರಸ್ಸು ಮಾಡಿರುವ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಗಂಭೀರ ಆಕ್ಷೇಪ ವ್ಯಕ್ತವಾಗಿದೆ. ಮಾಜಿ ನ್ಯಾಯಮೂರ್ತಿ ಜಯಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ಹೆಗಡೆ ನೇತೃತ್ವದ ಹಿಂದುಳಿದ ವರ್ಗಗಳ ಆಯೋಗವು ಸಿದ್ಧಪಡಿಸಿರುವ ವರದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಂದುಳಿದ ಸಮುದಾಯಗಳನ್ನು ಆರು ಪ್ರವರ್ಗಗಳಾಗಿ ಮರುವರ್ಗೀಕರಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಸದಾಗಿ ‘ಪ್ರವರ್ಗ–1ಬಿ’ಯನ್ನು ಸೇರಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಈ ಹಿಂದಿನ ಆಯೋಗಗಳಾದ ಎಲ್.ಜಿ. ಹಾವನೂರು, ವೆಂಕಟಸ್ವಾಮಿ, ಓ. ಚಿನ್ನಪ್ಪರೆಡ್ಡಿ, ರವಿವರ್ಮಕುಮಾರ್, ದ್ವಾರಕಾನಾಥ್ ಮತ್ತು ಶಂಕರಪ್ಪ ನೇತೃತ್ವದ ಆಯೋಗಗಳು ಮರುವರ್ಗೀಕರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂತಹ ಶಿಫಾರಸ್ಸುಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂಬುದು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗಿದೆ. ಆಯೋಗವು ‘ಕೆನೆಪದರ ನೀತಿ’ ಹಾಗೂ ಆದಾಯ ಮಿತಿ ಅಳವಡಿಸುವುದನ್ನು ಶಿಫಾರಸ್ಸು ಮಾಡಿರುವುದು, ಪ್ರವರ್ಗ–1ರ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಹಿಂದುಳಿದ ಸಮುದಾಯಗಳಿಗೆ ಅನ್ಯಾಯವಾಗಲಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಒಕ್ಕೂಟದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಡಿ.ಟಿ. ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸ್ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಎ.ವಿ. ಲೋಕೇಶಪ್ಪ ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಪರಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ಜಾತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಪರಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ಪಂಗಡದವರಿಗೆ ಶೇಕಡಾ 24.1ರಷ್ಟು ಮೀಸಲಾತಿಯನ್ನು ಯಥಾ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಂದುವರೆಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಪ್ರವರ್ಗ–1ರ ಜಾತಿಗಳ ಪೈಕಿ ಅತೀ ಹಿಂದುಳಿದ 147 ಜಾತಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಕೆನೆಪದರ ನೀತಿಯನ್ನು ಅನ್ವಯಿಸಲು ಹಾಗೂ ಆದಾಯ ಮಿತಿಯನ್ನು ವಿಧಿಸಲು ಶಿಫಾರಸ್ಸು ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಕ್ರಮ ಅತೀ ಹಿಂದುಳಿದ ಸಮುದಾಯಗಳ ಹಕ್ಕುಗಳಿಗೆ ಧಕ್ಕೆಯಾಗಲಿದೆ ಎಂಬುದಾಗಿ ಅವರು ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯಪಟ್ಟರು.

ಅಲ್ಲದೆ, ಮುಸ್ಲಿಂ ಜಾತಿಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಕ್ರಿಶ್ಚಿಯನ್ ಧರ್ಮಕ್ಕೆ ಮತಾಂತರಗೊಂಡ ಪರಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ಜಾತಿಯವರನ್ನು ಪ್ರವರ್ಗ–1ರಲ್ಲಿ ಇರಿಸಿರುವುದೂ ತೀವ್ರ ಆಕ್ಷೇಪಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಕುರಿತು ನೀಡಲಾದ ಮನವಿಗೆ ಆಯೋಗ ಯಾವುದೇ ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯೆ ನೀಡದೆ ಅವರನ್ನೇ ಪ್ರವರ್ಗ–1ರಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿಸಿರುವುದು ವಿವಾದಾತ್ಮಕವಾಗಿದೆ.

ಇದರ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ, ಮಾಧ್ಯಮದ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಮಾನ್ಯ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಹಳೆಯ ನೀತಿಯನ್ನೇ ಮುಂದುವರೆಸಬೇಕು, ಯಾವುದೆ ಆದಾಯ ಮಿತಿ ಅಥವಾ ಕೆನೆಪದರ ನೀತಿಯನ್ನೂ ಅಳವಡಿಸಬಾರದು ಎಂದು ಒಕ್ಕೂಟ ಮನವಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದೆ. ಜೊತೆಗೆ, ಅತೀ ಹಿಂದುಳಿದ ಸಮುದಾಯಗಳಿಗೆ ಶೇಕಡಾ 8 ರಷ್ಟು ಮೀಸಲಾತಿಯನ್ನು ನಿಗದಿಪಡಿಸಿ, ಅವರ ಹಕ್ಕುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಾಯ್ದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಎಂಬುದಾಗಿ ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸಿದೆ.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು, ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್ 15: ಮಲ್ಲೇಶ್ವರಂನ ಸಂಪಿಗೆ ರಸ್ತೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಸಾಯಿ ಮಂಡಳಿಯು ಶಿರಡಿ ಸಾಯಿಬಾಬಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾನ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟ್ ಸಹಯೋಗದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಎರಡು ದಿನಗಳ “ಶ್ರೀ ಶಿರಡಿ ಸಾಯಿಬಾಬಾ ಮೂಲ ಪಾದುಕೆ ದರ್ಶನ ಉತ್ಸವ”ವನ್ನು ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್ 17 (ಗುರುವಾರ) ಮತ್ತು ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್ 18 (ಶುಕ್ರವಾರ)ರಂದು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದೆ.

ಈ ಉತ್ಸವದ ಭಾಗವಾಗಿ, ಸಾಯಿಬಾಬಾರವರ ಮೂಲ ಪಾದುಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮಲ್ಲೇಶ್ವರಂ ಸಂಪಿಗೆ ರಸ್ತೆ 14ನೇ ಅಡ್ಡರಸ್ತೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಸಾಯಿಬಾಬಾ ಮಂದಿರದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ 6 ಗಂಟೆಯಿಂದ ರಾತ್ರಿ 10 ಗಂಟೆಯವರೆಗೆ ಭಕ್ತರ ದರ್ಶನಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಇಡಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಭಕ್ತರು ಬಂದು ಪಾದುಕೆಯ ದರ್ಶನ ಪಡೆದು ಶ್ರೀ ಸಾಯಿಬಾಬಾರವರ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದ ಪಡೆಯಲು ಅವಕಾಶವಿದೆ.

ಈ ಕುರಿತು ಇಂದು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಪ್ರೆಸ್ ಕ್ಲಬ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಪತ್ರಿಕಾ ಗೋಷ್ಠಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಯಿ ಮಂಡಳಿಯ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಡಾ. ಕೆ. ನಾಗೇಶ್ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, “ಈ ದರ್ಶನ ಉತ್ಸವವು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಭಕ್ತರಿಗೆ ಅಪರೂಪದ ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಅನುಭವ ನೀಡಲಿದೆ. ಸಾಯಿ ಮಂಡಳಿಯು ಈ ಮೂಲಕ ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಸೇವೆಯ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಸೇವೆಗೂ ಒತ್ತು ನೀಡುತ್ತಿದೆ,” ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

Government Assures Full Support to Arya Vaishya Society: Sudheendra

BENGALURU: Karnataka Bio-Energy Development Board official S.E. Sudheendra on Monday stated that the state government is committed to extending full support to the Arya Vaishya Society. He was speaking at a welfare program organized by the Karnataka Arya Vaishya Mahasabha.

Sudheendra highlighted the various contributions made by the Siddaramaiah-led government towards the upliftment of the community. He also assured that the government would respond positively to the society’s future needs. Commending the Mahasabha’s efforts, he noted its significant role in assisting the underprivileged, including widows, specially-abled individuals, and students.

He further mentioned that while the Karnataka Arya Vaishya Development Board is functional, the position of president remains vacant. The government, he said, will take steps to fill the vacancy shortly.

Addressing the gathering, Arya Vaishya Mahasabha President Ravishankar stated that the organization has been supporting talented but economically weaker students for the past seven years.

During the event, laptops were distributed to 180 undergraduate and postgraduate students, interest-free loans were provided to 53 students, and 309 widows received assistance under the Sandhyashree Scheme. Lifetime pensions were also granted to deserving individuals with disabilities, along with coverage under the Amrajyothi insurance scheme.

The event was attended by Institute Joint Secretary R.V. Nagaraj and Haritha, Operations Manager of Indian Railways (Mysuru Division).

In a significant show of unity and devotion, the Hegde Nagar Pastors Fellowship organized a grand Palm Sunday Peace Procession, drawing participation from over 1,000 devotees and religious leaders.

The event was spearheaded by Rev. Dr. Guru Prasadh, Rev. Dr. Ramesh, Pastor Amul Raj, and other senior pastors from the region. The procession marked the commemoration of Palm Sunday and aimed to promote peace and spiritual solidarity among the Christian community.

Rev. Pastor M. Vijay Kumar delivered an inspiring address as the Guest Speaker, emphasizing the importance of humility, service, and community in line with the spirit of Palm Sunday.
