ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು : ಮೆಟ್ರೋ ಯುನೈಟೆಡ್ ಹೆಲ್ತ್ ಕೇರ್ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯ ವೈದ್ಯರಾದ ಡಾ. ತೇಜಸ್ವಿಯವರ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಗಂಭೀರ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ನಿರ್ಲಕ್ಷ್ಯದ ಆರೋಪ ಕೇಳಿಬಂದಿದ್ದು, 2021ರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೋವಿಡ್-19 ಸಾಂಕ್ರಾಮಿಕದ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಸುಜಾತ ಅವರ ಸಾವಿಗೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂಬ ಆರೋಪವಾಗಿದೆ.

ಪೀಡಿತ ಕುಟುಂಬದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ, ಸಿ.ಟಿ. ಸ್ಕ್ಯಾನ್ ವರದಿಯನ್ನು ತಿದ್ದುಪಡಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು, ಅಸಲಿ ರೋಗದ ಗಂಭೀರತೆ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ತಪ್ಪು ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಹಣಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ 15 ದಿನಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಮುಕ್ತಾಯವಿಲ್ಲದ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ನೀಡಿ, ಯಾವುದೇ ಸರಿಯಾದ ದಾಖಲಾತಿಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡದೇ, ಬಳಿಕ ಮೃತದೇಹವನ್ನು ಹಸ್ತಾಂತರಿಸಲು ಹಣಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಪೀಡನೆ ನಡೆಸಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂಬ ಗಂಭೀರ ಆರೋಪ ಉಂಟಾಗಿದೆ.

ಸರ್ಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ದೂರು, ತನಿಖಾ ವರದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಿರುಗಾಟ?

ಪೀಡಿತರು 2024ರ ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 22ರಂದು ಈ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ, ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಸಚಿವರು, ಗೃಹ ಸಚಿವರು ಹಾಗೂ ರಾಜ್ಯಪಾಲರಿಗೆ ದೂರು ನೀಡಿದ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ತನಿಖೆಗೆ ಆದೇಶಿಸಿತು. ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಕುಟುಂಬ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣ ಇಲಾಖೆ ವೈದ್ಯರ ತಂಡವನ್ನು ರಚಿಸಿ ತನಿಖೆ ನಡೆಸಿದರೂ, ವರದಿ ವೈದ್ಯರ ಪರವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂಬ ಆಪಾದನೆ ಕೇಳಿ ಬಂದಿದೆ.

ಮರು ದೂರು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ ಬಳಿಕ ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ತನಿಖೆ ನಡೆಸಿದರೂ, ಪರಿಶೀಲನೆ ಯಥಾಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಉಳಿದಿದೆ. ಡಾ. ತೇಜಸ್ವಿಯು ಮಾಜಿ ಉಪಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಕೆ.ಎಸ್. ಈಶ್ವರಪ್ಪನವರ ಅಳಿಯನಾಗಿರುವ ಕಾರಣ, ಅವರ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಪ್ರಭಾವದ ಅಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ವೈದ್ಯರ ಪರವಾಗಿ ವರದಿ ನೀಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ಆರೋಪವೂ ಕೇಳಿ ಬಂದಿದೆ.

“ನ್ಯಾಯ ಸಿಗದೆ ದಯಾಮರಣವೇಕೆ?”

State Social Liberty Forum ಈ ಪ್ರಕರಣವನ್ನು ಸಿ.ಒ.ಡಿ. ತನಿಖೆಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿ, ಪೀಡಿತರಿಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯ ಒದಗಿಸಲು ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸಿದೆ. ಪೀಡಿತರು ಎಲ್ಲ ದಾಖಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದರೂ ನ್ಯಾಯ ಸಿಗದಿದ್ದರೆ, ದಯಾಮರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಅನುಮತಿ ನೀಡುವಂತೆ ಸರ್ಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಮನವಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

Medical Negligence Case at Shivamogga Metro United Healthcare Hospital: Calls for COD Investigation

Bengaluru : A serious case of alleged medical negligence has emerged from Metro United Healthcare Hospital, where Dr. Tejasvi has been accused of providing false information and negligent treatment, leading to the death of a woman named Sujatha in 2021. The victim’s family has filed multiple complaints with the Chief Minister, Health Minister, Home Minister, and other authorities, demanding justice.

According to the complaint, Sujatha was admitted to the hospital under false pretenses and kept there for 15 days. Despite having a mild condition, her CT scan report was allegedly altered to show severe illness, and she was subjected to inappropriate treatment. The family also claims that no proper medical records were provided, no receipts were issued for payments, and the hospital demanded additional money after handing over the deceased’s body. The family has reportedly submitted mobile recordings as evidence, showing discrepancies in medical records, including the CT scan report, treatment charts, and consultant notes.

After a complaint was filed on August 22, 2024, the state government ordered an investigation. However, the victim’s family alleges that the inquiry conducted by the Shivamogga District Health and Family Welfare Department was biased in favor of Dr. Tejasvi. Despite a second review, the committee again failed to thoroughly examine all medical records, reportedly under political influence. The family claims that Dr. Tejasvi, who is allegedly the son-in-law of former Deputy Chief Minister K.S. Eshwarappa, has been protected due to political interference.

With no justice forthcoming, the victims have now approached the government, requesting a COD investigation into the case. They have also stated that if justice is not served, they will seek permission for euthanasia. The State Social Liberty Forum has taken up the issue and held a press conference at the Bangalore Press Club, demanding strict action against the accused doctor and ensuring justice for the victim’s family.

The organization has urged the government to conduct a thorough probe, scrutinize all medical records, and hold accountable those responsible for the alleged negligence. The fight for justice will continue until the government intervenes and takes decisive action, said M.S. Mohinuddin, State President of the forum.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು: ಅಪರೂಪದ ಲೆಪ್ಟೊಸ್ಪೈರಾ ಎಂಡೊಮೆಟ್ರಿಯೊಸಿಸ್ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಅಸ್ಸಾಂ ಮೂಲದ 42 ವರ್ಷದ ಮಹಿಳೆಗೆ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಬನ್ನೇರುಘಟ್ಟ ರಸ್ತೆ ಫೋರ್ಟಿಸ್‌ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಫೋರ್ಟಿಸ್ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯ ಸ್ತ್ರೀರೋಗ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂತಾನೋತ್ಪತ್ತಿ ಔಷಧ – ಹಿರಿಯ ಸಲಹೆಗಾರರಾದ ಡಾ.ಮನೀಶಾ ಸಿಂಗ್ ಅವರ ತಂಡ ಶಸ್ತ್ರಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದು, ಶಸ್ತ್ರಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಗೆ ಒಳಗಾದ ಎರಡು ದಿನಗಳ ನಂತರ ರೋಗಿಯನ್ನು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು.
ಈ ಕುರಿತು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಡಾ. ಮನೀಶಾ ಸಿಂಗ್ , ಕೆಟ್ಕಿ (ಹೆಸರು ಬದಲಾಗಿದೆ) ರೋಗಿಯು ಒಂದು ತಿಂಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಜ್ವರದಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು, ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಉಸಿರಾಟ, ರಕ್ತಹೀನತೆ, ಹೊಟ್ಟೆ ನೋವು ಮತ್ತು ಮೂತ್ರವನ್ನು ಹಾದುಹೋಗುವಲ್ಲಿ ತೊಂದರೆ ಅನುಭವಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಅವರ ಎಂಡೊಮೆಟ್ರಿಯೊಸಿಸ್ ಲೆಪ್ಟೊಸ್ಪೈರಾ (ಸುರುಳಿಯಾಕಾರದ ಆಕಾರದ ಬ್ಯಾಕ್ಟೀರಿಯಾ) ಸೋಂಕಿನ ನಂತರದ ಬಾವು ಆಗಿ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಹೊಂದಿತು. ಇದು ಕಲುಷಿತ ನೀರು, ಮಣ್ಣು ಅಥವಾ ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳ ಮೂತ್ರದ ಮೂಲಕ ಹರಡುತ್ತದೆ, ಕಡಿತ, ಸವೆತ, ಕಣ್ಣು, ಮೂಗು ಅಥವಾ ಬಾಯಿಯ ಮೂಲಕ ಈ ಸೋಂಕು ದೇಹವನ್ನು ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಇದು ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳಿಂದ ಮನುಷ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಹಾದುಹೋಗುವ ಕಾಯಿಲೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಈ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯಿಂದ ಕೆಟ್ಕಿ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ದೈನಂದಿನ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತೊಡಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಕಷ್ಟವಾಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ಅನೇಕ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿದರೂ ಸೂಕ್ತ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ದೊರೆತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ, ಬಳಿಕ ಅವರು ಬನ್ನೇರುಘಟ್ಟ ರಸ್ತೆಯ ಫೋರ್ಟಿಸ್ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ದಾಖಲಾದರು, ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಮೌಲ್ಯಮಾಪನದ ನಂತರ, ಆಕೆಗೆ ಲೆಪ್ಟೊಸ್ಪೈರಾ ಎಂಡೊಮೆಟ್ರಿಯೊಸಿಸ್ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಎಂದು ಗುರುತಿಸಲಾಯಿತು, ಇದು ಅಪರೂಪದ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಸೋಂಕು ಗರ್ಭಾಶಯದೊಳಗೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿ, ಹಲವು ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಉಂಟು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ಶಸ್ತ್ರಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇವರಿಗೆ 14 ಸೆಂ.ಮೀ ಚೀಲ ಮತ್ತು ಅಂಡಾಶಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೀವು ತುಂಬುದ್ದ ದ್ರವ್ಯರಾಶಿ ಕಂಡುಬಂದಿದೆ. ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯ ತೀವ್ರತೆಯನ್ನು ಅರ್ಥಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು  ಸೋಂಕು ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಬಂಧಿತ ತೊಡಕುಗಳನ್ನು ಪರಿಹರಿಸಲು ಲ್ಯಾಪರೊಸ್ಕೋಪಿಕ್ ಶಸ್ತ್ರಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಗೆ ಶಿಫಾರಸು ಮಾಡಿದೆವು.  ಶಸ್ತ್ರಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಸುಮಾರು ಒಂದು ಗಂಟೆಯವರೆಗೆ ನಡೆಯಿತು ಎಂದು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು.

KPSC’s Repeated Failures in Conducting KAS Exams Spark Outrage

Bengaluru, February 2025: The Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) is facing severe criticism over its mishandling of the Karnataka Administrative Service (KAS) Preliminary Examinations. Repeated translation errors in Kannada question papers have sparked widespread anger among candidates and raised serious concerns about KPSC’s competence and fairness.

The state government had invited applications for 384 Gazetted Probationary (KAS) officer posts in 2024, attracting around 4.6 lakh applicants. The preliminary exam, conducted in August 2024 with 2.2 lakh candidates appearing, was marred by major translation errors in the Kannada question paper—57 in total, including 36 major errors. Following protests, the Karnataka government intervened and ordered a re-examination.

However, the re-exam conducted in December 2024 proved even worse. This time, 1.8 lakh candidates appeared, and analysis revealed 72 errors in the Kannada paper, with 59 classified as major. English translations, however, remained largely error-free, raising concerns about systemic bias against Kannada-medium students. Shockingly, KPSC had advised students to refer to English versions if they found Kannada translations confusing—an acknowledgment of errors, yet the exam was conducted regardless.

Candidates, activists, and educationists have accused KPSC of incompetence and deliberate negligence, calling its repeated failures a disgrace to Karnataka’s administration. Many are questioning whether this is an attempt to marginalize Kannada in the state’s bureaucracy. Meanwhile, KPSC has remained silent, pushing forward with the main examinations based on these flawed preliminary results.

Speaking at a press conference at the Press Club of Bangalore, Rohit R and Dr. Ramesh Bellamkonda of Namma Naadu Namma Aalvike demanded immediate government intervention. They urged authorities to either conduct a fresh re-exam or withdraw the current notification and reissue a fair and transparent recruitment process. Additionally, they called for strict action against KPSC officials responsible for these repeated blunders.

With mounting frustration among aspirants, legal and administrative scrutiny of KPSC is expected to intensify. The question remains—will the Karnataka government step in again, or will thousands of candidates be forced to suffer the consequences of a deeply flawed examination process?
