Underprivileged Women Receive Free Gynaecological Surgeries and other general surgeries through “Kinder Maa Jeevana” A CSR initiative from Kinder Hospital

Hundreds of underprivileged women suffering from gynaecological issues will benefit greatly asthey will receive completely free gynaecological surgery and general surgeries worth of 2 Crores,offered by Kinder Women’s Welfare Trust. In fact, in a first-of-its-kind initiative, the trust is starting”Kinder Maa Jeevana.” This ground-breaking CSR initiative is aimed at providing completely freegynaecological surgery and general surgeries to underprivileged women in MahadevapuraConstituency, Bengaluru who otherwise may find it difficult to afford such quality treatment. ‘KinderMaa Jeevana’ is a unique project to serve the community and address the healthcare needs ofvulnerable women in our society. Through this initiative, the trust aims to provide essentialgynaecological and general surgery services to those who are unable to afford them, ensuring thatevery woman has access to quality healthcare regardless of her socio-economic status.

The inaugural function of Kinder Maa Jeevana will take place on February 13 at SKG KalyanaMantapa, B Narayanapura, Whitefield Main Road, Bengaluru. The event will be inaugurated byesteemed guests including Sri Aravind Limbavali, Ex-MLA, Mrs. Manjula Aravind Limbavali, MLAMahadevapura, Bengaluru, and Ms. Harshika Poonacha, Sandalwood Actress.

Dr. VK Pradeep Kumar, Chairman of Kindorama Health Care Limited Pvt Ltd, India expressed his.optimism for the initiative, stating, “Kinder Maa Jeevana represents a significant step forward in ourefforts to promote healthcare equity. By offering free gynaecological surgery and other generalsurgeries, we are empowering underprivileged women to take charge of their health and wellbeing.”

ಮೇಲ್ಕಂಡ ವಿಷಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ 2023-24ನೇ ಸಾಲಿನ ಸ್ನಾತಕ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಮತ್ತು ದಂತ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಹಾಗೂ ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕಾ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಕೋರ್ಸಗಳ ಪರಿಷ್ಕೃತ ಸೀಟ್ ಮೆಟ್ರಿಕ್ಸ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಉಲ್ಲೇಖಿತ-1 ಆದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಪರೀಕ್ಷಾ ಪ್ರಾಧಿಕಾರದವರಿಗೆ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣಕ್ಕಾಗಿ 3365 ಸೀಟ್‌ಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ದಂತ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯಕ್ಕೆ 1738 ಸೀಟ್‌ಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣಕ್ಕೆ ವಿವಿಧ ಕೋರ್ಸ್‌ಗಳನ್ನೊಳಗೊಂಡು ಸಾವಿರಾರು ಸೀಟ್‌ಗಳಿದ್ದು, ಮಾನ್ಯ ಘನ ಸರ್ಕಾರವು ಆದೇಶ ಹೊರಡಿಸುವಾಗ ಮಾಜಿ ಸೈನಿಕರ ಮತ್ತು ಸೈನಿಕರ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಕೇವಲ 6 ಸೀಟುಗಳನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು ಮತ್ತು ದಂತ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಕೇವಲ 6 ಸೀಟುಗಳನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು ಮತ್ತು ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣಕ್ಕೆ ಕೇವಲ 64 ಸೀಟುಗಳು ಹಂಚಿಕೆಯಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಮಾಜಿ ಸೈನಿಕರ ಮತ್ತು ಸೈನಿಕರ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಅನ್ಯಾಯವಾಗಿರುವುದು ಉಲ್ಲೇಖಿತ ಆದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಂಡುಬಂದಿರುತ್ತದೆ.

ದೇಶಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ತ್ಯಾಗ ಬಲಿದಾನ ಮಾಡಿದ ಮಾಜಿ ಸೈನಿಕರು ಮತ್ತು ಹಾಲೀ ಸೈನಿಕರು ಹಾಗೂ ವೀರ ನಾರಿಯರು ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಭವಿಷ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಆದೇಶ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಭವಿಷ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಡಲಿ ಪೆಟ್ಟು ನೀಡಿದೆ.

ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ದೇಶದ ನಾಗರೀಕರು ತಮ್ಮ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಭವಿಷ್ಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಹಗಲು ರಾತ್ರಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಜೊತೆಗಿದ್ದು ಕುಟುಂಬದ ಜೊತೆ ಇದ್ದು ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಕಲಿಕೆಗಾಗಿ ಗಮನ ಹರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಆದರೆ ಸೈನಿಕರು ದೇಶ ಸೇವೆಯೇ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಎಂದು ದೇಶದ ನಾನಾ ಗಡಿ ಭಾಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ 17 ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ 30 ವರ್ಷಗಳವರೆಗೆ ದೇಶ ಸೇವೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಕಾಳಜಿ ವಹಿಸಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಮಾಜೀ ಸೈನಿಕರಿಗೆ ನೀಡುವ 10% ಉದ್ಯೋಗ ಮೀಸಲಾತಿಯಂತೆ ವೃತ್ತಿ ಪರ ಕೋರ್ಸ್‌ಗಳ ಸೀಟ್ ಹಂಚಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೀಡಬೇಕು.

ಈ ಹಿಂದೆ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ನೇಮಕಾತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಜಿ ಸೈನಿಕರಿಗೆ 10% ನಿಗದಿಪಡಿಸಿರುವುದು ಈ ಮೂಲಕ ತಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯಪಡಿಸುವದರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬಾಕಿ ವರ್ಗಗಳಿಗೆ ಹಂಚಿಕೆಯಾಗಿರುವುದನ್ನು ವಿರೋಧಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ ಎಂದು  ಡಾ. ಶಿವಣ್ಣ-ನಿವೃತ್ತ ಸೇನಾಧಿಕಾರಿ ರಾಜ್ಯಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು ಸಂಘದ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಪ್ರೆಸ್ ಕ್ಲಬ್ ಆಫ್ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಪತ್ರಿಕಾ ಗೋಷ್ಠಿ ಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

Sangamam 2024: Embracing the Legacy and Creativity of Indian Art and Culture

The Shibulal Family Philanthropic Initiatives (SFPI) hosted its Seventh Edition of Sangamam – an initiative to promote art & culture of the country with Dhrupad maestro Pt. Uday Bhawalkar along with Kirit Singh and Sukhad Manik Munde at St. John’s Auditorium Bangalore on Feb 10, 2024/Saturday. 

The LIVE Dhrupad performance was witnessed by classical music admirers who had come from different parts of Bangalore and met Pt. Uday Bhalwalkar and his team. 

Known as the foremost Dhrupad vocalists, Pt. Uday has been a strong force in its growing recognition, popularity, and resurgence worldwide. He’s a disciple of Ustaad Zia Fariduddin Dagar (vocal) and Ustaad Zia Mohiuddin Dagar (Rudra-Veena), the towering pillars of the Dhrupad tradition. Pt. Uday Ji believes that when immersed in the note and raga, the self dissolves and only the music remains. Admired for his engaging style, Pt. Uday through his artform reaches out and communicates with audiences of all backgrounds. Since his first performance at Bhopal in 1985 Uday has performed in a number of prestigious festivals and events in India and abroad. 

Born out of the immense passion for music of the founders, Kumari Shibulal and SD Shibulal, Sangamam aims to promote the rich tapestry of India’s heritage and diverse art forms to a wider audience, while fostering awareness and preservation of our cultural legacy. 

Sharing her thoughts on Sangamam, Kumari Shibulal, Founder (SFPI) said, “Music has the ability to bring people together and create a common platform that transcends boundaries and differences. Both Shibu and I are inclined towards Indian Classical Music, and it is our admiration for heritage and culture that sowed the seed for Sangamam a couple of years ago. Through this initiative, we aim to reach out to art admirers who are inspired by the richness of Indian Music and Dance forms.”

Pt. Uday on his LIVE Dhrupad performance opined, “Meeting art admirers has always been a fulfilling experience. With my 40 years of experience as an educator and performer, it gives me immense happiness to share the beautiful ancient art form. Bangalore has always been very welcoming, and it was an absolute pleasure performing at Sangamam. Initiatives like these are bridging the gap between the art, artists, and admirers.” 

Dhrupad is also one of the oldest living traditions of North Indian Classical music, drawing its roots from the rich, ancient Indian philosophies and its artistic value systems. It has originated from the sacred Sanskrit script of Sama Veda. 

In an endeavour to promote and keep alive the lineage of teaching Dhrupad in the traditional Guru Shishya Parampara, Pt Uday has established a residential Gurukul, by name ‘Dhrupad Swarkul’ with a goal to impart knowledge and training to selected and deserving Sadhaks of this art form – Dhrupad. The ‘Guru-Shishya Parampara’ is the quintessential Indian process of imparting valuable knowledge and philosophy passed through the ages by the Gurus. SFPI has collaborated with Dhrupad Swarkul to promote this ancient art form to children who have interest in pursuing this art form – Dhrupad.
