Shaping Tomorrow’s Climate Guardians: Cambridge University Press & Assessment Introduces “Cambridge Climate Quest” – An Innovative Educational Initiative
New Delhi, December 14, 2022: Cambridge University Press & Assessment, in partnership with Cambridge Zero, today announced the launch of an innovative educational initiative, “Cambridge Climate Quest,” at the School Education Conference held by British Council in association with CBSE. This is a first-of-its-kind launched in India, which represents a major step forward in promoting climate awareness and proactive engagement on a widespread scale.
Cambridge Climate Quest is a comprehensive learning programme that provides learners from Classes 8 through 12 with a foundational awareness of climate change issues. Developed in collaboration with Cambridge Zero, a University of Cambridge’s response to the climate crisis, the programme aligns closely with the National Curriculum Framework for school education that is aimed at making India’s youth climate-aware and foster climate action at the grassroots level. The programme envisions climate education as an interdisciplinary pursuit, integrating diverse domains of the curriculum.
The course offers: This programme is introduced as a free course, available to students enrolled in all educational boards. Learning content developed in collaboration with the groundbreaking Cambridge Zero initiative. eLearning modules enriched with a diverse selection of relevant audiovisual enhancements to create an engaging learning experience. Periodic assessments for self-evaluation to track progress. Customisable project work stipulations with guidance to encourage hands-on learning. Certificate awarded by Cambridge University Press & Assessment and Cambridge Zero. This programme specifically addresses the pressing climate challenges, aiming to provide learners with a comprehensive understanding of the issues at hand. This programme supports the government’s efforts by promoting climate change awareness and understanding, empowering individuals and communities for a sustainable future.
