According to the LEAD study, 72 percent of Bengaluru parents agree that sending their children back to school is a good idea.

     * 59% parents of primary and secondary students believe children suffered learning loss

      *Parents rate social distancing, healthcare facilities and sports as equally important

Bengaluru, September 20, 2021: At a time when state governments are relaxing lockdown restrictions and schools are reopening after almost 18 months in a phased manner, EdTech major LEAD conducted a survey among parents to learn their views about sending children back to school.

The findings revealed that 59% of respondents felt that their children suffered learning loss due to the pandemic, and 72% Bengaluru parents are willing to send their children back to school. They believe that a complete school experience is possible only with reopening.

The survey was conducted amongst 10,500 metro and non-metro parents whose wards study in classes 1-10.

Keeping in mind the health and safety of children, LEAD’s survey indicated that for 22% of parents, vaccination of school staff is a top priority. Besides, 55% of metro parents rated social distancing as most critical, followed by healthcare facilities (54%); whereas parents from non-metros said sports and social distancing were equally important (52%).

Voicing challenges faced by children and parents during the pandemic, recalled how they used to juggle between ‘work from home’ and ‘school from home’ in the initial days. The study found that 47% of metro parents spent between 3-4 hours a day in their children’s school as compared to 44% in non-metros. Further, the survey indicated that majority of parents (63%) feel that engagement in a physical classroom leads to better social interaction amongst children.

LEAD Co-founder and CEO Sumeet Mehta said, “The last year and a half has not been easy for teachers, principals, schools and most importantly students. Children belonging to the lowest income strata faced the maximum learning loss due to inaccessibility of data and devices. Our survey clearly shows 72% Bengaluru parents say ‘YES’ to sending their children back to school. So let’s listen to parents, while enabling online learning for the 28% who are not ready. Schools need to be treated as essential utilities and parents must send their children back to school with a positive and open mind. Let us prepare to welcome them back to school by undertaking all the necessary precautions and safety measures.”

Higher dissatisfaction among non-metro parents

Only 40% of parents in non-metros said that their children studied on a personal computer, while close to 60% metro parents indicated that their child learnt on a computer/laptop even after a year into the lockdown. Most students from non-metros attended schools via smartphones, which often added to the worries of parents.

Data also indicates that the virtual learning environment of children has been a more worrying factor for non-metro parents than metro parents when it comes to skillsets for the future. 53% metro parents rated problem solving and logical reasoning as the most important skill, as against 47% non-metro parents. Similarly, more than 50% metro parents felt digital literacy was an important skill, as against just 45% non-metro parents. Vocational exposure and skills, ethical and moral listening, and coding and computational skills, were some of the other skills that parents in metros believed were important.

Some common areas of concerns

While 70% parents of both metros and non-metros said both the parents were involved in their children’s learning activities, the share of ‘only mothers’ being involved in their studies was higher in metros (21%) as compared to non-metros (18%), indicating increased responsibilities, especially for working women.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು : ವಿಶ್ವದಾದ್ಯಂತ ಕೋವಿಡ್ -19 ರಿಂದ ಉದ್ಭವಿಸಿದ್ದ ಸಂಕಷ್ಟ ಇನ್ನೂ ದೂರಾಗಿಲ್ಲ . ಕರೋನಾದಿಂದ ಮುಕ್ತರಾಗಲು ಲಸಿಕೆ ಒಂದೇ ಮಾರ್ಗ ಎಂದು ಪ್ರಧಾನಿ ನರೇಂದ್ರ ಮೋದಿ ಸಾರಿ ಸಾರಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೂ ಸಹ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಸಂಘಟನೆಯೊಂದರ ಸ್ವಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠೆ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕ ವಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಲಸಿಕೆ ನೀಡುವ ಯೋಜನೆ ನನೆಗುಂದಿಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದಿದೆ . ಒಂದು ಅಂದಾಜಿನ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಘಟಿತ ಮತ್ತು ಅಸಂಘಟಿತ ವಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಿದ ಒಂದು ಕೋಟಿಗೂ ಅಧಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರು ವಿವಿಧ ವಲಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದಾರೆ . ಈ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರಿಗೆ ಕೋವಿಡ್ ಲಸಿಕೆ ಅನಿವಾರ್ಯ . ಈ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಮುಖ್ಯಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ರವಿಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರ ಕಾಳಜಿಯಿಂದಾಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಇಲಾಖೆಯು ಕಟ್ಟಡ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರಿಗೆ ಲಸಿಕೆ ನೀಡುವ ಬೃಹತ್ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವೊಂದನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿತ್ತು . ಆದರೆ , ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವ ಹತ್ತು ಹಲವು ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಸಂಘಟನೆ ಪೈಕಿ ಒಂದೇ ಒಂದು ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಸಂಘಟನೆ ಇದರ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಬೀದಿಗಿಳಿದು ಹೋರಾಟ ಮಾಡಿತು . ಈ ಹೋರಾಟವನ್ನು ಕೂಡಲೆ ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಿದ ಸರ್ಕಾರವು ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಲಸಿಕೆ ಅಭಿಯಾನವನ್ನು ಕೈಬಿಟ್ಟಿರುವುದು ಎಷ್ಟು ಸರಿ ? ಎಂಬ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗಳು ಹುಟ್ಟಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆ . ಲಸಿಕೆಗಾಗಿ ಮೂರು ದಿನ ವ್ಯರ್ಥ ! : ಸರ್ಕಾರವು ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಉಚಿತವಾಗಿ ಲಸಿಕೆ ನೀಡುತ್ತಿದೆ . ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣ ನಿಧಿಯಿಂದ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರಿಗೆ ಲಸಿಕೆ ಕೊಡಿಸುವುದು ಬೇಡ ಎಂಬುದು ಲಸಿಕೆ ಅಭಿಯಾನವನ್ನು ವಿರೋಧಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಒಂದು ಸಂಘಟನೆಯ ವಾದವಾಗಿದೆ , ಆದರೆ , ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊರತೆ ಕಾರಣ ನೀಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ಲಸಿಕೆ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಅತ್ಯಲ್ಪ ಮತ್ತು ಲಸಿಕೆಗಾಗಿ ಟೋಕನ್ ಪಡೆಯಲು ಒಂದು ದಿನ , ಲಸಿಕೆ ಪಡೆಯಲು ಒಂದು ದಿನ , ನoತರ ಜ್ವರದಿಂದ ಬಳಲಿದರೆ ಒಂದು ದಿನ ಹೀಗೆ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರು ಲಸಿಕೆಗಾಗಿ ಮೂರು ದಿನಗಳ ಕೂಲಿ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಲಸಿಕೆ ಪಡೆಯಲು ಶಕ್ತರೇ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಲಸಿಕೆ ಅಭಿಯಾನ ವಿರೋಧಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಸಂಘಟನೆಗೆ ಚಿಂತಿಸದಿರುವುದು ಶೋಚನೀಯವೇ ಸರಿ . ಇನ್ನು ಲಸಿಕೆಗಾಗಿ ಯಾವುದೇ ಹಣ ಬಳಸಿದರೂ ಅದು ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಹಣವೇ , ತೆರಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ವಿವಿಧ ಸೆಸ್‌ಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರಿಂದ ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದ ಹಣವೇ ಅಲ್ಲವೇ ? ಅಲದಲೆ ಕಟ್ಟಡ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರ ಸಸ ಹಣವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಡ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರ ಕ್ಷೇಮಾಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗೆ ಬಳಸಿದರೆ ತಪ್ಪೇನು ಎಂಬುದು ಸಂಘಟನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಿಲ್ಲದ ವಿಷಯವೇನಲ್ಲ . ಹೀಗಿದ್ದರೂ ಲಸಿಕೆ ಅಭಿಯಾನವನ್ನು ವಿರೋಧಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಸ್ತಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಟೇಯಲ್ಲದೆ ಮತ್ತೇನು ? ಎಂಬುದು ಇತರೆ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಸಂಘಟನೆಗಳ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಯಾಗಿದೆ . ? ಈ ಖಾಸಗಿ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಲಸಿಕೆಗಾಗಿ ಹಣ ನೀಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂಬ ವಾದವನ್ನು ಮುಂದಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡು ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಸಂಘಟನೆಯೊಂದು ಲಸಿಕೆ ಅಭಿಯಾನವನ್ನು ವಿರೋಧಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಅಸಮಂಜಸವಾಗಿದೆ . ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಬಾಸತಿ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಲಸಿಕೆ ಮೊತ್ತವನ್ನು ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ದರದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತ್ರ ನೀಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ . ಹೀಗಿದ್ದಾಗ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಸಂಘಟನೆಯ ತಕರಾರು ಏಕೆ ? ಎಂಬುದೇ ಸಂಶಯಾಸ್ಪದವಾಗಿದೆ . ಕಟ್ಟಡ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರು ಹಾಗೂ ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಪ್ರಮಾಣದ ವಲಸೆ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರಿಗೆ ಲಸಿಕೆ ಕುರಿತು ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆ ಮೂಡಿಸಬೇಕಿದೆ . ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗಳ ಮಾಹಿತಿ , ಲಸಿಕೆ ಪಡೆದ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಅನುಸರಿಸಬೇಕಾದ ಕ್ರಮಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಎರಡು ಡೋಸ್ ಪಡೆಯುವ ಅನಿವಾರ್ಯತೆ ಇತ್ಯಾದಿಗಳ ಕುರಿತು ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಒದಗಿಸಬೇಕಿದೆ . ಹೊರ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರಿಗೆ ಈ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಕೊರತೆಯೂ ಕಾಡುತ್ತಿದೆ . ಈ ಎಲ್ಲ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರು ಈವರೆಗೂ ಪಡೆದ ಲಸಿಕೆ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಶೇ . 5ಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಕಡಿಮೆ ಎಂಬುದು ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯೇ ತಿಳಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ . ಹೀಗಿದ್ದಾಗಲೂ ಸೆಸ್ ಉಳಿತಾಯದ ನೆಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಟ್ಟಡ ಮತ್ತು ವಲಸೆ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರ ಜೀನವದ ಜೊತೆ ಚೆಲ್ಲಾಟವಾಡುತ್ತಾ , ಸಮಾಜದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೋವಿಡ್ ಸರಪಳಿಯನ್ನು ತಡೆಗಟ್ಟದೆ ಈ ರೀತಿ ವರ್ತಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಮುಖಂಡರಿಗೆ ಹೇಗೆ ಅರ್ಥ ಮಾಡಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂಬುದು ಯಕ್ಷ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆ . ಕೋವಿಡ್ 1 ಮತ್ತು 2 ನೇ ಅಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರಗಳು ಸ್ವಯಂ ಸೇವಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಸಮಾಜವು ತನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಆದ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನು ಬದಿಗೊತ್ತಿ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯನ್ನೇ ಗುರಿಯಾಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿವೆ . ಮೂರನೇ ಆಲೆ ಭೀತಿ – ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕ ವಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಆತಂಕ : ಇನ್ನು ಕೊರೋನಾ ಮೂರನೇ ಅತಿ ಭೀತಿ ಎದುರಾಗಿದೆ . ಇಂತಹ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ದಿನ ನಿತ್ಯದ ಅನ್ನಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಕೂಲಿ ನಾಲಿ ಮಾಡುವ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರಿಗೆ ಲಸಿಕೆ ಅನಿವಾರ್ಯ , ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಲಸಿಕೆ ಪಡೆಯಲು ಎಷ್ಟು ಪ್ರಮಾಣದ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರು ಮುಂದಾಗುತ್ತಾರೆ ? ಮತ್ತು ಎಷ್ಟು ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರಿಗೆ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಲಸಿಕೆ ದೊರಕಲಿದೆ ? ಎಂಬ ಚಿಂತೆ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ , ಸಂಘಟಿತ ಮತ್ತು ಅಸಂಘಟಿತ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರಿದ್ದೆಡೆಗೆ ತೆರಳಿ ಲಸಿಕೆ ಹಾಕುವ ಅಭಿಯಾನವನ್ನು ವಿರೋಧಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಸಂಘಟನೆಗಳ ಉದ್ದೇಶವಾದರೂ ಏನು ? ಎಂಬುದು ಅಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವೇನಲ್ಲ ! . ಮೂರನೇ ಆಲೆ ಭೀತಿಯಿಂದ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕ ವರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡಬೇಕಿದ್ದರೆ ಲಸಿಕೆ ಅಭಿಯಾನ ಅನಿವಾರ್ಯ . ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರವು ಯಾವುದೇ ಸಂಘಟನೆಗಳ ಆಟಾಟೋಪಕ್ಕೆ ತಲೆಬಾಗದೆ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರ ಲಸಿಕೆ ಅಭಿಯಾನವನ್ನು ಮುಂದುವರೆಸುವ ದಿಟ್ಟ ನಿರ್ಧಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಂದಾಗುವ ಮೂಲಕ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಮೂರನೇ ಅಲೆಯಿಂದ ಮೂರನೇ ಅಲೆಯಿಂದ ಮುಕ್ತವಾಗಿಸಬೇಕು , ಜಾಗತಿಕ ಸಾಂಕ್ರಾಮಿಕ ಕೋವಿಡ್ -19 ರಿಂದ ಉದ್ಭವಿಸಿದ ಸಂಕಷ್ಟದ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಚ್ಚ ಮತ್ತು ಸರ್ವೋಚ್ಛ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯದ ಆದೇಶದಂತೆ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಇಲಾಖೆಯು ರಾಜ್ಯದಾದ್ಯಂತ ಸಂಘಟಿತ , ಅಸಂಘಟಿತ ಮತ್ತು ವಲಸೆ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರಿಗೆ ಆಹಾರ ಧಾನ್ಯಗಳ ಕಿಟ್ ಅನ್ನು ವಿತರಿಸುವ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ನಿಭಾಯಿಸಿತ್ತು . ಹೀಗೆ ಲಾಕ್‌ಡೌನ್ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ 30 ಲಕ್ಷ ಕಿಟ್‌ಗಳ ವಿತರಣೆಯಂತಹ ಸವಾಲಿನ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ನಿಭಾಯಿಸಿದ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಇಲಾಖೆಯು ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಶಾಸಕರು ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಸದರಂತಹ ಜನಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಗಳ ಸಲಹೆ ಸೂಚನೆಗಳಂತೆ ನಿಭಾಯಿಸಿದೆ . ಆದರೆ , ಕೆಲ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಸಂಘಟನೆಗಳು ಮೊಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಲ್ಲು ಹುಡುಕುವಂತ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಪನಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಗಳ ಕಾರ್ಯವೈಖರಿಗೂ ಆಕ್ಷೇಪ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದವು . ಇದೇ ಅಲ್ಲದೆ , ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ಮಾರ್ಗಸೂಚಿಗಳನ್ವಯ ಶ್ರಮಿಕ ವರ್ಗಕ್ಕೆ ಮೂನಿಟಿ . ಬೂಸ್ಟರ್ ಕಿಟ್ ಮತ್ತು ಕೋವಿಡ್‌ನಿಂದ ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿರಿಸಲು ಸೋಪ್ , ಮಾಸ್ಕ , ಸ್ಯಾನಿಟೈಜರ್ ವಿತರಣೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆಯೂ ಆಕ್ಷೇಪ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಉತ್ತಮ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಕೆಲ ಸಂಘಟನೆಗಳು ತೊಡಕಾಗಿದ್ದು ಆಕ್ಷೇಪಾರ್ಹ . ಇನ್ನು ಕೆಟಿಟಿಪಿ ಕಾಯ್ದೆಯಂತೆ ಶ್ರಮಿಕ ವರ್ಗಕ್ಕೆ ಟೂಲ್ ಕಿಟ್ ನೀಡಲು ಮುಂದಾಗಿರುವ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಇಲಾಖೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಅಪಸ್ವರ ಎತ್ತುತ್ತಿರುವ ಕೆಲ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಸಂಘಟನೆಗಳ ಸ್ವಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠೆಯ ಕಾರ್ಯವೈಖರಿ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕ ವರ್ಗದ ಅಸಮಾಧಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿದೆ . ಇನ್ನು ವಲಸೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಘಟಿತ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರು ಹಲವಾರು ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಉತ್ತಮ ವಸತಿ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಗುಡಿಸಲುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದು , ಶ್ರಮಿಕ ವರ್ಗದವರಿಗೆ ವಸತಿ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಕಲ್ಪಿಸುವ ಮಹತ್ತರ ಯೋಜನೆಯನ್ನು ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದು , ಇದಕ್ಕೂ ಸಹ ಕೆಲ ಸಂಘಟನೆಗಳು ತಡೆಯೊಡ್ಡುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕ ವಿರೋಧಿ ಧೋರಣೆ ಅನುಸರಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಅಕ್ಷಮ್ಯವೇ ಸರಿ . ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ಆಹಾರ ಕಿಟ್ ಪಡೆದು ನೋಂದಣಿ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹಣ ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸಿರುವ ಆರೋಪವೂ ಸಹ ಕೆಲ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಸಂಘಟನೆಗಳ ಮೇಲಿದ್ದು ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಶ್ರಮಿಕ ವರ್ಗದ ಪರವಾದ ಸಮಾಜಮುಖಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇವಲ ಸ್ವಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠೆಗೆ ಒಳಗಾಗಿ ಆಡ್ಡಗಾಲು ಹಾಕುತ್ತಿರುವ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕ ನಾಯಕರ ವರ್ತನೆ ದುರಾದೃಷ್ಟಕರ . ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಕೆಲಸಗಳು ಮುಂದುವರೆಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಎಂಎಸ್‌ನ ಯಾವುದೇ ಅಭ್ಯಂತರ ವಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ . ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಕೆಲಸಗಳಿಗೂ ಎಂದಿಗೂ ತೊಡಕುಗಳನ್ನುಂಟುಮಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ .

Production Linked Incentive Scheme for the Textiles Industry

Shri Upendra Prasad Singh, Secretary (Textiles), Govt. of India in an Interaction Meet with the representatives of the Textiles industry organized today on September 17, 2021 at Hotel Taj West End, Bengaluru explained the provisions of the Production Linked Incentive Scheme for the Textiles Industry launched recently by the Govt. of India.

Forging towards the vision of an ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ of Shri Narendra Modi, Hon’ble Prime Minister, the PLI scheme for textile sector will encourage the industry to make investment in manufacture of the high value-added products. like MME garments and technical textiles which account for nearly $180 billion global trade and it is estimated that the Scheme will promote cumulative turnover of over Rs 3 lakh crores during the period of five years.

He informed that the aim of the scheme, with a budgetary outiay of Rs. 10,683 crore, is to focus on investment attention on high -value 40 Man-made Fibres (MMF) apparel product lines, 14 MMF fahric lines and 10 segments or products of technical textiles, These 64 items have been chosen for their being amongst the top-traded lines in the global market as weil as India having less than 5% share in each of them. Along with the Scheme, other promotional measures in the sector like, providing raw material at competitive prices, skill development etc., aim to boost the textiles manufacturing in the country.

The incentive structure has been so formulated that the industry wil be encouraged to invest in fresh capacities in these segments. The incentives have been categorised into two investment levels. Firms investing at least Rs.300 crore into plant, machinery, equipment and civil works over two years for making a specified product would need to hit a minimum turnover of Rs.600 crore to be eligible to receive the incentive over a five-year period, and at a second level an investment of Rs.100 crore with a pre-set minimum turnover of Rs.200 crore would enable qualification for the incentive.

Priority will be given for investment in Aspirational Districts, Tier 3 & 4 towns, and rural areas which will incentivize the industry to rnove to rather backward area,

This will give a major push to growing MMF segment and complement the efforts of cotton and other natural fibre-based textiles industry in generating new opportunities for employment and trade.

Highlights of the Scheme *Leveraging economies of scale, the Scheme will help Indian companies to emerge as global champions

*Help create additional employment of over 7.5 lakh persons directly and other several lakh persons for supporting activities

*Incentives worth Rs.10,683 crore to be provided to the industry over five years

*Anticipated to bring in fresh investment of above Rs.19,000 crore and additional production turnover of over Rs.3 lakh crore in five years

*Higher priority for Aspirational Districts and Tier 3 & 4 towns

*Pave way for increased participation of women

ನ್ಯಾ , ಸದಾಶಿವ ಆಯೋಗದ ವರದಿಯನ್ನು ಏಕಪಕ್ಷೀಯವಾಗಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಶಿಫಾರಸು ಮಾಡಿಸಲು ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ಷಡ್ಯಂತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ವಿರೋಧಿಸಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ರಾಜ್ಯಮಟ್ಟದ ಚಿಂತನಾ ಸಮಾವೇಶದ ತೀರ್ಮಾನಗಳು :

1 , ಭೋವಿ , ಬಂಜಾರ , ಚಲವಾದಿ , ಕೊರಚ , ಕೊರಮ , ಅಲೆಮಾರಿ ಸಮುದಾಯಗಳಿಗೆ ಕಂಟಕವಾಗಿರುವ ನ್ಯಾ : ಎ ಜೆ ಸದಾಶಿವ ಆಯೋಗದ ವರದಿಯನ್ನು ಏಕಪಕ್ಷೀಯವಾಗಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸರ್ಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಶಿಫಾರಸ್ಸು ಮಾಡಬಾರದು . ಈ ವರದಿಯನ್ನು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಚರ್ಚೆಗಾಗಿ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು . ಸೋರಿಕೆಯಾಗಿರುವ ಈ ವರದಿ ಅಂಶಗಳನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸಿದಾಗ ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಪಾವಿತ್ರತೆ ಇಲ್ಲ ಅನಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ . ಆಯೋಗ ತನ್ನ ಉದ್ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರುದ್ಯದ ಶಿಪಾರಸ್ಸುಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ . ಅಸಂವಿಧಾನಿಕ ಅಂಶಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಅವಾಸ್ತವಿಕ ಅಂಕಿಅಂಶಗಳು ಈ ವರದಿಯಲ್ಲಿವೆ . ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ಈ ವರದಿ ಈಗ ಅಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ . ಇದು ಸ್ವೀಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಯೋಗವಲ್ಲ .

II . ಪರಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ಜಾತಿಗಳ ಸಹೋದರ ಸಮುದಾಯಗಳ ಮಧ್ಯ ದೃಷ , ಪ್ರಚೋದನ ಬಿತ್ತಲು ಹೊರಟಿರುವ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸಚಿವ ಎ ನಾರಾಯಣಸ್ವಾಮಿ ಮತ್ತು ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸಚಿವ ಗೋವಿಂದ ಕಾರಜೋಳರನ್ನು ಸಚಿವ ಸಂಪುಟದಿಂದ ಕೈಬಿಡಬೇಕು .

III . ಹೋರಾಟಗಳ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂಜಾರರ ಕುಲಗುರು ಶ್ರೀ ಸೇವಾಲಾಲ್ ಮತ್ತು ಸಚಿವ ಪ್ರಭು ಚೌಹಾಣ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಅವಹೇಳನ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ಕಿಡಿಗೇಡಿಗಳ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಕ್ರಮಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು .

DTDC and Narayana Health successfully set up an oxygen generator plant in Jaipur

DTDC partners with Narayana Health in the fight against Covid-19. To vaccinate the underprivileged and establish a source of ample oxygen for Covid-care

Bangalore: Sept.2021, DTDC and its strategic partner, Geopost SA (DPD Group), owned by Frances Le Groupe La Poste., are proud to associate with Narayana Hrudayalaya Charitable Trust and Narayana Hrudayalaya Ltd. for the successful set-up and inauguration of an oxygen generator plant in Jaipur. 

The one-of-its-kind oxygen generator plant was inaugurated by DTDC Chairman and Managing Director Mr Subhasish Chakraborty, in the presence of top officials from DTDC and Narayana Health. The valuable joint -initiative, installed in the Narayana multi-speciality hospital in Jaipur, is geared to help the country fight the ongoing Covid pandemic. 

DTDC Express Chairman and Managing Director Mr Subhasish Chakraborty said, The cutting-edge oxygen generator plant, imported from the US, is a result of joint efforts of DTDC, our strategic partner, Geopost SA  (DPD Group) and the able team at Narayana Health. As a part of our CSR program for Covid care support, we have made a significant contribution of Rs 1.56 crore to Narayana Hrudayalaya Charitable Trust. DTDC and Geopost SA  (DPD Group) also ensured the seamless logistical movement of the oxygen generator plant.

With the capacity for generating medical-grade oxygen at 500 litres a minute, generators like these play a crucial role in critical Covid remedies. The oxygen generator plant is expected to provide the much-needed treatment to help a large population, including those from less-privileged backgrounds. City-based oxygen generator plants are expected to provide an ample supply of medical-grade oxygen, crucial for Covid-care, and reduce the need for cross-country transport of the life-saving gas.

Speaking further on the occasion, Arunesh Punetha, Regional director, Narayana Health said, We are confident that with DTDC Express as our partners, we will be able to touch & positively impact thousands of lives together. Both the organisations will continue to support the people of Jaipur & Rajasthan in tiding over these challenging times. 

The occasion also saw a free mass-vaccination drive for the underprivileged in Jaipur, continuing the efforts of all the partners. DTDCs inclusive social work, led by its CSR-wing, the Shri Subhasish Chakraborty Foundation (SSCF), extends to supporting underprivileged children and their needs for food, shelter and education.
