Bengaluru, December 16: The sacred Dhanurmasa pujas will be observed from December 17, 2025, to January 13, 2026, at the Nanjangud Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt located in Jayanagar Fifth Block, Bengaluru.
The month-long religious observances will be conducted with the blessings and guidance of Param Pujya 1008 Sri Subudhendra Tirtha Sripadangalavaru. The daily rituals will be held in the early morning hours under the leadership of the mutt’s senior administrator, R.K. Vadindra Acharya.
Speaking about the programme, chief priest Nandakishore Acharya said that special importance will be given to traditional offerings such as huggi and pongal naivedya during the Dhanurmasa period. These rituals, he said, are believed to hold great spiritual significance and are expected to draw large numbers of devotees.

University of Liverpool Breaks Ground for Bengaluru Campus, Strengthening India–UK Education Ties
Bengaluru, December 15, 2025: The University of Liverpool on Monday marked a key milestone in its India expansion with a ground-breaking ceremony for its upcoming Bengaluru campus at Alembic City, reinforcing growing India–UK collaboration in higher education and research.
The event was attended by senior leadership from the University of Liverpool, UK government representatives, academic partners and industry leaders, reflecting the university’s focus on building a future-ready education ecosystem aligned with India’s talent and innovation needs.
Among the prominent guests was Chandru Iyer, Deputy British High Commissioner to Karnataka and Kerala, who had earlier signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the university at its launch event in May this year. Students from The School of Raya, Bengaluru, added a cultural dimension to the ceremony with a special performance.
The Bengaluru campus, scheduled to begin academic operations in 2026, will be designed as a next-generation learning and research hub combining global academic standards with India’s higher education ambitions. Campus architect Ram Joshi said the design draws inspiration from Liverpool’s maritime heritage and Bengaluru’s intellectual energy, transforming the former glass factory site into a space where industry evolves into knowledge.
A member of the prestigious Russell Group, the University of Liverpool will offer UK-accredited degree programmes in Computer Science, Business Management, Accounting and Finance, Biomedical Sciences and Game Design. The Game Design programme, a first for UK universities in India, will focus on coding, creativity and critical theory to prepare students for the global gaming and interactive media industry.
The University of Liverpool, ranked among the top 150 universities globally in the QS World University Rankings, received approval from the Union Ministry of Education in May 2025 under the UGC’s 2023 regulations, in line with the National Education Policy 2020. ಒಡಿಶಾದ ಪುರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಜಗನ್ನಾಥ ದೇವಾಲಯ ಹಾಗೂ ದೇವಾಲಯ ಸಂಕೀರ್ಣದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಬಿಮಲಾ (ವಿಮಲಾ) ದೇವಿ ಶಕ್ತಿಪೀಠ, ಗಂಜಾಂ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ತಾರಾ ತಾರಿಣಿ ಶಕ್ತಿಪೀಠಗಳಿಗೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಲಾಯಿತು.
ಆಂಧ್ರಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಶ್ರೀಶೈಲಂನಲ್ಲಿ ಮಲ್ಲಿಕಾರ್ಜುನ ಜ್ಯೋತಿರ್ಲಿಂಗ ಮತ್ತು ಬ್ರಾಮರಾಂಭ ದೇವಿ ಶಕ್ತಿಪೀಠ, ತಮಿಳುನಾಡಿನ ಕಾಂಚೀಪುರಂನ ಕಾಂಚಿ ಕಾಮಾಕ್ಷಿ ಶಕ್ತಿಪೀಠ, ರಾಮೇಶ್ವರದಲ್ಲಿನ ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಮನಾಥ ಜ್ಯೋತಿರ್ಲಿಂಗ ದರ್ಶನಗಳ ನಂತರ, ತಮ್ಮ ಸ್ವರಾಜ್ಯ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಮೈಸೂರಿನ ಶ್ರೀ ಚಾಮುಂಡೇಶ್ವರಿ ಶಕ್ತಿಪೀಠದಲ್ಲಿ ತಾಯಿಯ ದರ್ಶನ ಪಡೆದು ಯಾತ್ರೆಯನ್ನು ಮುಕ್ತಾಯಗೊಳಿಸಿದರು.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು, ಡಿಸೆಂಬರ್ 11, 2025: ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಅಂಗನವಾಡಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತೆಯರ ಮತ್ತು ಸಹಾಯಕಿಯರ ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರ ಸಂಘದ ನೂತನ ಪದಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳ ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಉಮಾಮಣಿ ಕೆ.ಎಲ್ (ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು) ಅವರು ರಾಜ್ಯ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಯಾಗಿ, ಈ ಬಾರಿಯೂ ಮುಂದುವರೆಯುತಿರುವುದು ಸಂಘದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಸ ಉತ್ಸಾಹಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿದೆ. ಹಿಂದೆ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೆಯ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಗಳಾಗಿಯೂ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದ ಉಮಾಮಣಿ, ಸಂಘಟನೆಗೆ ದೀರ್ಘಕಾಲದಿಂದ ನೀಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ನಿಷ್ಠೆ, ಹೋರಾಟ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಘಟನಾ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ವಿವಿಧ ಭಾಗಗಳಿಂದ ಬಂದ ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಗಳಿಂದ ಏಕಮತದಿಂದ ಆಯ್ಕೆಗೊಂಡರು.
ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಭಾರತೀಯ ಸ್ಕೌಟ್ ಭವನದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಈ ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಅನೇಕ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗಳ ಅಂಗನವಾಡಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತೆಯರು ಮತ್ತು ಸಹಾಯಕಿಯರು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಸಂಘಟನೆಗೆ ಹೊಸ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ನೀಡುವ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ನಿರ್ಧಾರಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲಾಯಿತು.
ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿ. ಪ್ರೇಮಾ (ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ) ಅವರನ್ನು ಹೊಸ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೆಯಾಗಿ ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು. ಜೊತೆಗೆ –

ಎಂಬ ಹುದ್ದೆಗಳಿಗೆ ನೂತನ ಪದಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಆಯ್ಕೆಯಾದರು.
ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಯಾಗಿ ಆಯ್ಕೆಯಾಗಿ ಮುಂದುವರೆಯುತಿರುವ ಉಮಾಮಣಿ ಕೆ.ಎಲ್ ಅವರು ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಅಂಗನವಾಡಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತೆಯರ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಪರಿಹಾರ, ವೇತನ ಭದ್ರತೆ, ಸೇವಾ ನಿಯಮಾವಳಿ ಮತ್ತು ಕಲ್ಯಾಣ ಕ್ರಮಗಳ ಕುರಿತು ಸರ್ಕಾರದೊಂದಿಗೆ ರಚನಾತ್ಮಕ ಮಾತುಕತೆಗಳನ್ನು ವೇಗಗೊಳಿಸಲು ಬದ್ಧರಾಗಿರುವುದಾಗಿ ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. “ಅಂಗನವಾಡಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತೆಯರ ಧ್ವನಿಯನ್ನು ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಬಲವಾಗಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಮುಂದಿಡುವುದು ನಮ್ಮ ಮೊದಲ ಆದ್ಯತೆ,” ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟಪಡಿಸಿದರು.
ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾದ ನಿರ್ಣಯದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ, ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು ಮತ್ತು ತಾಲೂಕು ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸಮಿತಿಯ ವಿಸ್ತೃತ ತಂಡದ ಸದಸ್ಯರಾಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಲಿದ್ದು, ಸಂಘಟನೆ ಬಲವರ್ಧನೆಗೆ ಸಮಗ್ರವಾಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಯ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಸಂಘದ ಹಿರಿಯರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಉಮಾಮಣಿ ಕೆ.ಎಲ್ ಅವರ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಘಟನೆ ರಾಜ್ಯಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಸಂಘಟಿತವಾಗಿ, ಹೋರಾಟಪರವಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತು ಪರಿಣಾಮಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿ ಮುಂದುವರಿಯಲಿದೆ ಎಂದು ವಿಶ್ವಾಸ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು. ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಪೋಷಣಾ ಸೇವೆಗಳು, ಮಹಿಳಾ ಸಬಲೀಕರಣ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮುದಾಯಾಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂಗನವಾಡಿ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯ ಪಾತ್ರ ಬಲಪಡಿಸಲು ಇದು ಮಹತ್ವದ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯಪಟ್ಟರು.

ಸಭೆಯ ನಿರ್ಧಾರ ಪ್ರಕಾರ, ಉಳಿದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು ಮತ್ತು ತಾಲೂಕು ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು ಸಹ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸಮಿತಿಯ ಪದಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವರು. ಸಂಘವು ಅಂಗನವಾಡಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತೆಯರ ಹಿತಚಿಂತನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ, ಮಹಿಳಾ ಸಬಲೀಕರಣ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಸಮುದಾಯಾಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಂದಿನ ವರ್ಷಗಳಲ್ಲೂ ಪರಿಣಾಮಕಾರಿ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಲು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಿದೆ.
