ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು:ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಸೆಂಟ್ರಲ್ ಡಯಾಸಿಸ್ನ ಸಿಎಸ್ಐ ನೂತನ ಬಿಷಪ್ ಆಗಿ ನೇಮಕಗೊಂಡಿರುವ ರೆವರೆಂಡ್ ಡಾ. ವಿನ್ಸೆಂಟ್ ವಿನೋದ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಗೌರವಿಸಲು ವಿಶೇಷ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಪಿಸಿಸಿ ಮಾನವ ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಡಾ. ಯೂನಸ್ ಜೋನ್ಸ್ ಹೂಗುಚ್ಛ ನೀಡಿ ಅಭಿನಂದಿಸಿದರು.

ஹூப்ளி, செப்டம்பர் 15:வாசன்கண் மருத்துவமனை, ஹூப்ளியின் நிபுணர் மருத்துவர்கள் குழு, ஒரு வயது குழந்தையின் சோனுலர் கட்டராக்ட் (முத்திரைக்கண்) நோய்க்கு அதிநவீன intraocular lens (IOL) பொருத்தி பார்வையை மீட்டெடுப்பதில் அபூர்வ வெற்றியை கண்டுள்ளது.
இந்தச் சிகிச்சைக்கு ஒரு தலைமுறைச் சுவாரசியம் உண்டு—குழந்தையின் தந்தையும் சிறுவயதில் பிறவிக் கட்டராக்டால் பாதிக்கப்பட்டு அறுவை சிகிச்சை செய்யப்பட்டிருந்தார். இன்று தந்தை, மகன் இருவரும் மீண்டும் பார்வையுடன் வாழ்கிறார்கள்.

“வாசன், ஹூப்ளியின் வலிமை எங்கள் நவீன ஆபரேஷன் தியேட்டரும், ஒற்றுமையாக செயல்படும் அறுவை சிகிச்சை அணியும் ஆகும். இதன் மூலம் வட கர்நாடகாவில் உலகத் தரமான சிறுவர் கண் சிகிச்சை கிடைக்கிறது,” என்று அறுவை சிகிச்சை செய்த மருத்துவர் தெரிவித்தார்.
குழந்தை தற்போது நன்றாக குணமடைந்து வருகிறதுடன், பார்வை வளர்ச்சிக்காக அம்ப்லியோபியா சிகிச்சை மேற்கொள்ளப்பட உள்ளது.
இந்த சாதனையின் மூலம் வாசன், ஹூப்ளி, அரிய சிறுவர் கண் அறுவை சிகிச்சைகளுக்கான பிராந்திய மையமாக தன்னுடைய நிலையை மீண்டும் உறுதிப்படுத்தியுள்ளது.

ಹುಬ್ಬಳ್ಳಿ, ಸೆಪ್ಟೆಂಬರ್ 15: ವಾಸನ್ ಕಣ್ಣಿನ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆ, ಹುಬ್ಬಳ್ಳಿಯ ತಜ್ಞ ವೈದ್ಯರ ತಂಡವು ಕೇವಲ ಒಂದು ವರ್ಷದ ಶಿಶುವಿನ ಝೋನುಲರ್ ಕ್ಯಾಟರಾಕ್ಟ್ (ಮುತ್ತಿನಕಣ್ಣು) ಶಸ್ತ್ರಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಯನ್ನು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿ, intraocular lens (IOL) ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಾಪನೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಪುನಃ ನೀಡುವಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಸಾಧನೆ ಮಾಡಿದೆ.
ಈ ಪ್ರಕರಣವು ತಲೆಮಾರುಗಳ ವೈಶಿಷ್ಟ್ಯ ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದು, ಶಿಶುವಿನ ತಂದೆಯೂ ಸಹ ಬಾಲ್ಯದಲ್ಲೇ ಜನ್ಮಜಾತ ಮುತ್ತಿನಕಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ಒಳಗಾಗಿದ್ದರು ಮತ್ತು ಆ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲೇ ಶಸ್ತ್ರಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು. ಈಗ ತಂದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮಗು ಇಬ್ಬರೂ ದೃಷ್ಟಿ ಮರಳಿ ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ವಾಸನ್ ಹುಬ್ಬಳ್ಳಿಯ ಆಧುನಿಕ ಮಾದರಿಯ ಆಪರೇಷನ್ ಥಿಯೇಟರ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಸೂಕ್ಷ್ಮ ಶಸ್ತ್ರಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ನಡೆಯಿತು. ಇದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅತ್ಯಾಧುನಿಕ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಕಣ್ಣಿನ ಮೈಕ್ರೋಸ್ಕೋಪ್ಗಳು, ಫ್ಯಾಕೋ-ವಿಟ್ರೆಕ್ಟಮಿ ಸಿಸ್ಟಮ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಶಿಶುಗಳಿಗೆ ತಕ್ಕಂತಹ ಅನಸ್ತೀಷಿಯಾ ಮಾನಿಟರಿಂಗ್ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಗಳನ್ನು ಬಳಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಶಸ್ತ್ರಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಗೆ ಮುನ್ನ ಶಿಶುವಿಗೆ ಅಲ್ಟ್ರಾಸೌಂಡ್, ಕ್ಯಾರಟೊಮೆಟ್ರಿ, ಬಯೋಮೆಟ್ರಿ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಪೂರ್ವಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಗಳು ನೆರವೇರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಬಳಿಕ ಮಂಜುಗಡ್ಡೆಯಂತೆ ಆಗಿದ್ದ ಲೆನ್ಸ್ ಅನ್ನು ತೆಗೆಯಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಮುಡಿಸಬಹುದಾದ ಆಕ್ರಿಲಿಕ್ IOL ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಾಪಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
“ವಾಸನ್ ಹುಬ್ಬಳ್ಳಿಯ ಶಕ್ತಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಆಧುನಿಕ ಶಸ್ತ್ರಚಿಕಿತ್ಸಾ ಕೊಠಡಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಮರ್ಪಿತ ತಂಡದಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಇದರ ಮೂಲಕ ಉತ್ತರ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ವಿಶ್ವದರ್ಜೆಯ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಕಣ್ಣಿನ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಲಭ್ಯವಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ,” ಎಂದು ಶಸ್ತ್ರಚಿಕಿತ್ಸಕ ವೈದ್ಯರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಶಿಶು ಶಸ್ತ್ರಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಯ ನಂತರ ಚೇತರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಮುಂದಿನ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂಬ್ಲಿಯೋಪಿಯಾ (lazy eye) ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸಾ ವಿಧಾನ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗುವುದು.
ಈ ಸಾಧನೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ವಾಸನ್ ಹುಬ್ಬಳ್ಳಿ, ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಕಣ್ಣಿನ ಶಸ್ತ್ರಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಯ ಪ್ರಾದೇಶಿಕ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಎಂಬ ತನ್ನ ಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ದೃಢಪಡಿಸಿದೆ.

Hubli, Sept. 15: In a remarkable medical feat, the surgical team at Vasan Eye Care, Hubli, successfully restored vision in a one-year-old child suffering from zonular cataract through advanced intraocular lens (IOL) implantation.
What made the case unique was its generational link—the baby’s father had also been diagnosed with congenital cataracts and underwent surgery at a young age. Today, with the support of modern facilities and expert care, both father and child have regained their sight.
The delicate surgery was carried out at Vasan Hubli’s state-of-the-art modular Operation Theatre, equipped with high-precision pediatric ophthalmic microscopes, phaco-vitrectomy systems, and advanced anesthesia monitoring for infants. The child underwent detailed pre-operative evaluations, including ultrasound, keratometry, biometry, and systemic pediatric clearance. Surgeons then removed the cloudy lens and implanted a foldable acrylic IOL to enable normal visual development.
“The strength of Vasan Hubli lies in our modern OT facilities and the efficiency of our surgical team. Together, these ensure that world-class pediatric eye care is accessible right here in North Karnataka,” the operating surgeon said.
The infant is now recovering well and will undergo amblyopia therapy to support visual growth.
With this milestone, Vasan Hubli has reaffirmed its role as a regional hub for advanced pediatric ophthalmic surgery, where modern infrastructure and dedicated expertise come together to change lives.

Event to highlight India’s clean energy transition and future of hydrogen innovation
BENGALURU / September 18, 2025: Alliance University, Bengaluru, in association with the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and under the aegis of The Combustion Institute – Indian Section (CIIS), will host a two-day National Workshop and Panel Discussion on Hydrogen Fuel Technologies and Future Trends on September 19–20, 2025.
The forum will convene academics, researchers, industry leaders, policymakers, and students to discuss the role of hydrogen in India’s clean energy roadmap. Key sessions will focus on hydrogen use in internal combustion engines, gas turbines, aerospace propulsion, and energy systems, alongside deliberations on safety protocols and the role of AI/ML in hydrogen design.

India’s Hydrogen Mission
Over 100 delegates from IIT Bombay, CSIR, NAL, and other leading institutions are expected to attend. Discussions will revolve around India’s National Green Hydrogen Mission, sector-specific adoption, and strategies to make green hydrogen cost-competitive with conventional fuels.
At a press briefing, Mr. Pradip Kumar Pandey, Secretary, CIIS, noted, “Green hydrogen currently costs nearly twice as much as grey or brown hydrogen. Globally, the aim is to reduce costs from $10 per kilogram to $1, which requires strong collaboration across research, policy, and industry.”
He added that Alliance University is piloting hydrogen-based village projects, with support from government and industry, to showcase scalable models.
Mr. Abhay G. Chebbi, Pro Chancellor, Alliance University, underscored the need for technology-driven progress, “Policy is steadily evolving, but technology remains the biggest challenge. Bridging the gap between research and real-world application is critical for India to lead the clean energy transition.”
Dr. Priestly B. Shan, Vice Chancellor, Alliance University, emphasized hydrogen’s employment potential, “The National Green Hydrogen Mission projects nearly six lakh new jobs by 2030. Hydrogen hubs integrating skill development can make employment a central part of this ecosystem.”
