ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು: ಆಡಿಯೋ ಬ್ರಾಂಡ್‌ಗೆ ಹೆಸರುವಾಸಿಯಾದ ಟ್ರಕ್‌ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯು ಕೈಗೆಟುಕುವ ದರದಲ್ಲಿ 24 ತಾಸು ಚಾರ್ಜ್‌ ಇರುವ ವೈರ್‌ಲೆಸ್‌ ಇಯರ್‌ಬಡ್ಸ್‌ ಅನ್ನು ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆಗೆ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಿದೆ. ಆಮೆಜಾನ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಜುಲೈ 6 ರಿಂದ ಖರೀದಿಗೆ ಲಭ್ಯವಿದ್ದು ಇದರ ಬೆಲೆ ಕೇವಲ 999 ರೂ. ಕೇವಲ 15 ನಿಮಿಷ ಚಾರ್ಚ್‌ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ 1 ಗಂಟೆ ಕಾಲ ಮ್ಯೂಸಿಕ್‌ ಕೇಳಬಹುದು. ಶೇಕಡ 99 ರಷ್ಟು ಸ್ಮಾರ್ಟ್‌ಫೋನ್‌ ಮತ್ತು ಗೇಮಿಂಗ್‌ ಡಿವೈಸ್‌ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಈಜಿಯಾಗಿ ಕನೆಕ್ಟ್‌ ಮಾಡಬಹುದು.

BOCI seeks extension of vehicle insurance validity; approaches IRDA

Bengaluru, 6th July 2020:  Bus & Car Operators Confederation of India (BOCI), the apex body for public transport in India representing private passenger transport operators, has approached the regulatory insurance body, IRDA, seeking extension of vehicle insurance validity. BOCI operators run 17 lakh buses in various segments and accounts for 30 crore passenger trips, amounting to over 80% of all public transport in the country.

The private operators who are member of various associations & federations affiliated to BOCI are seeking IRDA and government intervention for extension of vehicle insurance validity. Public transport sector has been one of the worst hit with the lockdown due to COVID-19 pandemic and is reeling under heavy financial losses. BOCI has reached out to various state governments and has also made representations to Ministry of Road Transport and Ministry of Finance to draw their attention on the plight of public transport sector.

Operators cite that the vehicles have been grounded since lockdown therefore third-party damage is ruled out. Since major part of the premium amount is paid towards third-party damage, the insurance companies should increase validity equal to number of lockdown days. Recently, the Government of India has announced extension of validity date of motor vehicle documents up to September 30, 2020. These include documents such as validity of fitness, permit (all types), driving license, registration or any other concerned documents. This is the second time the government has extended this validity due to lockdown. However, the government has not addressed the vehicle insurance validity for comprehensive and third-party policy covers.

Mr. Prasanna Patwardhan, President, Bus & Car Operators Confederation of India (BOCI) said, “The public transport operators are on the verge of bankruptcy in the current situation. We are under pressure from multiple sides, fuel price hikes, reduced capacity due to social distancing norms, loan EMIs, taxes and insurance premiums and much more. The ongoing financial burden with no revenue in the past quarter has pushed us on the brink of collapse.  We urge Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDA) and the Government of Indiato extend vehicle insurance validity equal to number of lockdown days from the date of expiry without additional premium and no increase in annual premium for next one year. The validity extension sought, will bring much-needed relief to already stressed sector.”

In the current scenario, operators will not be able to pay premiums leading to large number of defaults as they have not been able to operate since lockdown began. We have written to the IRDA requesting an extension of insurance coverage for all transport vehicles. Members of the BOCI operate nearly 1.5 million buses and 1.1 million cars, which are used for intercity travel, as school buses, and as tourist vehicles. Owners must pay about Rs 1 lakh a year towards insurance premium for a bus. This might go up to Rs 2 lakh for premium buses, he further added.

Public transport sector has suffered huge financial losses and continues to bleed. In India where majority of the populace depends on public transport for their commute, survival of the sector is imperative. The operators collapsing and shutting down operations will have a serious ripple effect on public life and livelihood of millions of families who depend on the sector for their survival.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು: ಆಟೋ ಕಾಂಪೊನೆಂಟ್ ಮೇಜರ್ ಆಗಿರುವ ಎಂಎಸ್ಎಸ್ಎಲ್ ತನ್ನ ದೇಶೀಯ ವೈರಿಂಗ್ ಸರಂಜಾಮು ವ್ಯವಹಾರವನ್ನು ಕುಂಠಿತಗೊಳಿಸುವಂತಹ ಗುಂಪು ಪುನರ್ರಚನೆಯನ್ನು ಘೋಷಿಸಿತು. ಎಂಎಸ್‌ಎಸ್‌ಎಲ್‌ನ ಷೇರುಗಳು ಶೇಕಡ 5.69 ರಷ್ಟು ಇಳಿದು ರೂ .97.75 ಕ್ಕೆ ವಹಿವಾಟು ನಡೆಸಿದವು ಎಂದು ಏಂಜಲ್‌ ಬ್ರೋಕಿಂಗ್‌ ಲಿಮಿಟೆಡ್‌ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಹೆಡ್‌ ಅಡ್ವೆಂಸರಿ ಆಮರ್‌ ದಿಯೋ ಸಿಂಗ್‌ ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಎಚ್‌ಡಿಎಫ್‌ಸಿ ಲೈಫ್ ತನ್ನ ಷೇರು ಜುಲೈ ತಿಂಗಳ ಕೊನೆಯ ದಿನದಂದು ನಿಫ್ಟಿ 50 ರ ಭಾಗವಾಗಲಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಘೋಷಿಸಿತು. ಎಚ್‌ಡಿಎಫ್‌ಸಿ ಲೈಫ್‌ನ ಷೇರುಗಳು ಶೇಕಡ 5.07 ರಷ್ಟು ಏರಿಕೆಯಾಗಿ ರೂ. 575.75. ಬ್ಯಾಂಕೇತರ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ ಮುತೂಟ್ ಫೈನಾನ್ಸ್ ಷೇರುಗಳು ಶೇಕಡ 3.15 ರಷ್ಟು ಏರಿಕೆಯಾಗಿ ರೂ .1143.90 ಕ್ಕೆ ವಹಿವಾಟು ನಡೆಸಿದವು. ಕಂಪನಿಯ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರ ಮಂಡಳಿಯು ಷೇರುಗಳನ್ನು ವಿಭಜಿಸುವ ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾಪವನ್ನು ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಿತು.

ರಿಲಯನ್ಸ್ ಇಂಡಸ್ಟ್ರೀಸ್ ಲಿಮಿಟೆಡ್‌ನ ಷೇರುಗಳು ಶೇಕಡ 1.57 ರಷ್ಟು ಏರಿಕೆಯಾಗಿ ರೂ .1788.00 ಕ್ಕೆ ವಹಿವಾಟು ನಡೆಸಿದವು. ಇಂಟೆಲ್ ರಿಲಯನ್ಸ್‌ನ ಜಿಯೋ ಪ್ಲಾಟ್‌ಫಾರ್ಮ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಶೇಕಡ 0.39 ಪಾಲನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಧೀನಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಕಂಪನಿ ಘೋಷಿಸಿದ ನಂತರ. ಜೆಎಸ್ಡಬ್ಲ್ಯೂ ಸ್ಟೀಲ್ನ ಯೋಯಿ ಕಚ್ಚಾ ಉಕ್ಕಿನ ಉತ್ಪಾದನೆಯು 2021 ರ ಹಣಕಾಸು ವರ್ಷದ ಮೊದಲ ತ್ರೈಮಾಸಿಕದಲ್ಲಿ 30.2% ನಷ್ಟು ಇಳಿದು 2.96 ಮೆ.ಟನ್. ಜೆಎಸ್ಡಬ್ಲ್ಯೂ ಸ್ಟೀಲ್ನ ಷೇರುಗಳು ಶೇಕಡ 1.77 ನಷ್ಟು ಇಳಿದು ರೂ .191.00 ಕ್ಕೆ ವಹಿವಾಟು ನಡೆಸಿದವು.

ಪಿಟಿಸಿ ಇಂಡಿಯಾ ಫೈನಾನ್ಷಿಯಲ್ ಸರ್ವಿಸಸ್‌ನ ಷೇರುಗಳು ಶೇಕಡ 1.52 ರಷ್ಟು ಏರಿಕೆಯಾಗಿ ರೂ .13.40 ಕ್ಕೆ ವಹಿವಾಟು ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದು, ಇಂದಿನ ವಹಿವಾಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಎಸ್‌ಬಿಐ 300 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂ.ಗಳ ಸಾಲ-ಡಬ್ಲ್ಯುಸಿ ವರ್ಧನೆಗೆ ಅನುಮತಿ ನೀಡಿದ ನಂತರ ಇಂದಿನ ವಹಿವಾಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಶೇಕಡ 3 ರಷ್ಟು ಏರಿಕೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಆಕ್ಸಿಸ್ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಲಿಮಿಟೆಡ್‌ನ ಷೇರುಗಳು ಶೇಕಡ 1.37 ರಷ್ಟು ಏರಿಕೆಯಾಗಿ ರೂ .429.00 ಕ್ಕೆ ವಹಿವಾಟು ನಡೆಸಿದವು. ಬ್ಯಾಂಕಿನ ಅಂಗಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯಾದ ಯುಕೆ-ಆರ್ಮ್ ಆಕ್ಸಿಸ್ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಯುಕೆ ಲಿಮಿಟೆಡ್ ಅನ್ನು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಮುಚ್ಚಲು ಮತ್ತು ಮುಚ್ಚಲು ಕಂಪನಿಯು ಘೋಷಿಸಿತು.

ಎನ್‌ಎಸ್‌ಇಯ ನಿಫ್ಟಿ 50 ಮಾನದಂಡದಿಂದ ಸ್ವಯಂಪ್ರೇರಿತವಾಗಿ ಹೊರಹಾಕಲು ಕಂಪನಿಯು ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾಪಿಸಿದ ನಂತರ ವೇದಾಂತ ಲಿಮಿಟೆಡ್‌ನ ಷೇರುಗಳು ಶೇಕಡ 0.28 ರಷ್ಟು ಇಳಿದು ರೂ .106.10 ಕ್ಕೆ ವಹಿವಾಟು ನಡೆಸಿದವು. ಎಚ್‌ಡಿಎಫ್‌ಸಿ ಜೀವ ವಿಮಾ ಕಂಪನಿ ವೇದಾಂತ ಲಿಮಿಟೆಡ್ ಅನ್ನು ನಿಫ್ಟಿ 50 ಸೂಚ್ಯಂಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಬದಲಾಯಿಸಲಿದೆ. ಭಾರತೀಯ ಇಕ್ವಿಟಿ ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಖರೀದಿಯ ಮಧ್ಯೆ ಇಂದಿನ ವಹಿವಾಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಯು.ಎಸ್. ಡಾಲರ್ ಎದುರು ಭಾರತೀಯ ರೂಪಾಯಿ 32 ಡಾಲರ್ ಹೆಚ್ಚಳದಿಂದ ರೂ .74.64 ಕ್ಕೆ ತಲುಪಿದೆ.

Adani Transmission signs definitive agreements with Kalpataru for acquisition of Alipurduar Transmission

·         Adani Transmission Limited (ATL) to acquire Alipurduar Transmission Ltd owned by Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd.

·         Acquisition is expected to be completed in few months subject to all necessary regulatory approvals and other consents

·         Alipurduar Transmission Ltd. operates transmission lines aggregating to around 650 ckt kms in West Bengal and Bihar

·         With this acquisition, the cumulative network of ATL will reach more than 15,400 ckt kms

·         Out of this more than 12,200 ckt kms (including this asset) is operational and more than 3,200 ckt kms is under various stages of execution

Ahmedabad, July 06th, 2020: Adani Transmission Ltd (ATL), India’s largest private sector power transmission company, has signed definitive agreements with Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd. (KPTL) for acquiring Alipurduar Transmission Ltd. in a manner consistent with Transmission Service Agreement and applicable consents. The Enterprise value for the project is ascribed as INR 1,286 crore. The acquisition is expected to be completed in few months, subject to all necessary regulatory approvals and other consents.

The acquisition is in sync with ATL’s strategy to enhance the value for its stakeholders, through organic as well as inorganic opportunities. With this acquisition, the cumulative network of ATL will reach more than 15,400 ckt kms, out of which more than 12,200 ckt kms (including this asset) is operational and more than 3,200 ckt kms is under various stages of execution. With this scale of operations, ATL will enjoy substantial benefits in terms of cost optimization, shared resources and will fortify its position of being the largest private sector transmission company in the country.

Mr. Anil Sardana, MD & CEO, Adani Transmission Ltd said, “The acquisition of Alipurduar Transmission Ltd. will bolster the pan-India presence of ATL consolidating its position as the largest private sector transmission company in India. This asset will take ATL closer to its target of setting up 20,000 ckt km of transmission lines by 2022.”

Brief overview of the Asset:

Alipurduar Transmission Ltd. operates transmission lines aggregating to around 650 ckt kms in West Bengal and Bihar. The project was awarded through competitive bidding process on a build, own, operate, maintain basis. Element 1 of the project consisting of the transmission line from Alipurduar to Siliguri was commissioned on 20 Jan 2020 and Element 2 of the project consisting of the transmission line from Kishanganj to Darbhanga was commissioned on 6 Mar 2019.

Karnataka to bring law for mandatory home isolation of people aged above 60

*Strict legal action against private hospitals who refuse treatment for Covid patients : Dr.K Sudhakar*

Bengaluru -July 5 : Criminal cases will be registered against private hospitals that refuse treatment to covid patients, Minister Sudhakar said in a press conference here on Sunday at Vidhana Soudha.

Dr.Sudhakar who spoke to media after returning from his surprise visit to Jayanagar General Hospital and Rajiv Gandhi Chest Hospial responded to the questions regarding private hospitals refusing to treat covid patients. No hospital should refuse to admit patients and if any hospital is found denying treatment criminal cases will be registered against them, Minister said.

Government has come up with 6 different systems for treatment of covid patients. Covid care centres, Government medical colleges, private medical college, government hospitals, corporate hospitals and home isolation with proper facilities & according to government guidelines, the Minister added.

Dr. Sudhakar gave the statistics of 4 metropolitan cities in the country which including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai & Bengaluru. Bengaluru’s and the mortality rate is the lowest at 1.46%. The aim is to increase testing by optimal utilisation of capacity especially in private labs. Once we increase testing, it is natural that the positive cases will also increase. So citizens need not panic due to this but should take all precautionary measures. He adviced to get tested in the nearest fever clinics as soon as any symptoms like cough, fever etc are found. Guidelines regarding the home isolation will be released soon, he said.

Highlights of the Press brief

  1. 400 ambulances to be deployed in Bengaluru, 2 each for every ward.
  2. ILI and SARI symptoms patients to consult the nearest fever clinics immediately.
  3. Government recommended patients at private hospitals will be provided with insurance under Suvarna Arogya Suraksha Trust.
  4. If private hospitals refuse to admit the patients, call 1912 helpine to get assistance.
  5. If admitted in Private hospital voluntarily the treatment cost will be borne by patients as per the rates fixed by government.
  6. Government has done 6.5 lakh covid swab testing free of cost.
  7. The cost of testing at private labs has been capped at Rs.2,200 as per test.
  8. Private hospitals had to allot 2,734 beds but only 116 beds have been provided. This is a bottleneck and will be addressed soon by Revenue Minister R Ashoka and CM’s political secretary Vishvanath who have been given in-charge of this.
  9. Will prioritize doing more swab testing in the coming days.
  10. Mortality rate in Bangalore is 1.55% and the government is trying to reduce it even more.
  11. PPE kits purchased is of international standardd approved by FDA an EMA.
  12. Diet chart has been prepared for patients and are getting excellent food.
