Dr Agarwals Eye Hospital Opens Advanced Eye Care Centre in Sarjapur
13,000 sq. ft. facility becomes the hospital’s 16th centre in Bengaluru, offering advanced diagnostics, surgery and super-speciality eye care
Bengaluru, August 22, 2026: Dr Agarwals Eye Hospital has expanded its presence in Bengaluru with the launch of a new advanced eye care centre in Sarjapur. Spread across 13,000 sq. ft., the facility is the hospital’s 16th centre in the city and is designed to provide comprehensive eye care services to residents of Sarjapur and surrounding areas.
The new centre brings diagnostic, surgical and specialised ophthalmic services under one roof. It features an advanced diagnostic unit, a dedicated surgical wing with sterile modular operation theatres and super-speciality clinics catering to cataract, refractive and LASIK procedures, glaucoma, retina and paediatric ophthalmology.
The facility offers a wide range of services, including cataract and refractive surgeries such as LASIK and ReLEx SMILE, retinal and glaucoma treatment, corneal care, glued IOL procedures, dry eye and keratoconus management, paediatric ophthalmology, oculoplasty and contact lens services. Patients can also avail themselves of in-house pharmacy and diagnostic facilities, walk-in and online consultations, cashless insurance processing, TPA assistance and pre- and post-operative counselling.
The centre has been equipped with advanced diagnostic technologies, including Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), fundus photography, corneal topography and optical biometry. Its surgical facilities include advanced phacoemulsification, femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery, LASIK, Femto-LASIK, SMILE and Contoura Vision.
Emergency and trauma eye care services will also be available. The hospital is planning to establish an ambulance support arrangement with a nearby healthcare facility to strengthen emergency services.
Dr Srinivasan G Rao, Regional Head – Clinical Services, Karnataka, Dr Agarwals Eye Hospital, Sarjapur, said the new centre was aimed at making specialised eye care more accessible to people living and working in the area.
“From routine eye examinations and cataract evaluations to complex retinal and corneal conditions, patients can now access diagnosis and treatment closer to home. The centre combines advanced technology with specialised clinical expertise, eliminating the need for patients to travel across Bengaluru for specialised eye care,” he said.
As part of the launch, the hospital is offering free eye consultations to patients visiting the new centre. It will also conduct community screening camps and awareness programmes in nearby neighbourhoods, with a focus on cataract, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy and children’s eye health.
The Sarjapur expansion comes as the locality continues to witness rapid residential and commercial development. The area has attracted a growing population of IT professionals, young families and migrants, while its proximity to major employment hubs such as Wipro Sarjapur, Bellandur, RMZ Ecospace and Embassy TechVillage has increased demand for easily accessible healthcare services.

“Screen-heavy lifestyles are increasingly associated with digital eye strain and dry eye, while early and prolonged screen exposure among children is contributing to concerns such as paediatric myopia. Regular eye examinations can help detect these conditions early and ensure timely treatment,” she said.
The hospital said the new centre forms part of its hyper-local expansion strategy aimed at bringing specialised eye care closer to communities. With 16 centres now operating in Bengaluru, Dr Agarwals Eye Hospital plans to further strengthen its presence across Karnataka and expand access to comprehensive ophthalmic services.
The centre is also expected to address growing demand for screening and treatment of conditions such as Computer Vision Syndrome, dry eye, paediatric myopia, diabetic retinopathy and glaucoma. The hospital plans to work with local ophthalmologists, clinics and healthcare institutions through collaborations and referral partnerships to strengthen eye care services across Bengaluru.
