Bengaluru: In accordance with the instructions of His Holiness Sri 1008 Sri Subudhendra Theertha Sripadangalavaru, various religious rituals and devotional programmes were held on Thursday at the Nanjanagudu Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt in Jayanagar 5th Block, Bengaluru.
The proceedings included a special abhisheka to the Brindavana of Guru Rayaru with mangoes, special decoration, Kanakabhisheka and Mahamangalarathi. Annadana was also organised for devotees. Thousands of devotees participated in the programmes and sought the blessings of Guru Rayaru.
Former Minister H.D. Revanna visited the mutt on the occasion, lit lamps at the sanctum of Guru Rayaru and offered prayers.
Sri R.K. Vadindra Acharya, senior administrator of the mutt, received the Shesha Vastra, fruits and Mantrakshata as prasada and sought the blessings of Guru Rayaru.
Sri Nandakishore Acharya shared details of the religious programmes held at the mutt.
