Highway Delite won the National Start-up Award in Tourism Sector

Started journey from Karnataka and now it has Pan-India presence

Bangalore, 9th 2020: Highway Delite, a travel tech start-up, that provides information of verified highway pit stops and wayside amenities across 60,000+KMs in India, has won the National Start-up Award in Tourism Sector- Travel Planning and Discover category.

Highway Delite is building digitally connected highway wayside amenities platform to enable tourists and travellers to discover facilities and transact with verified highway services and amenities.The platform enables commuters to have real time location based verified highway services information including facilities and photos of more than 12 categories including verified Restaurants, Dhabas, Washroom, Fuel pumps, Hotels, Mechanic, ATMs, Pharma, Hospitals, Emergency Numbers, Tourist places, Accident Zones, Handicrafts and Handloom and Souvenir Stores. Highway Delite has covered more than 60,000 KMs of highways pan India and have more than 1 lakh verified data points. Highway Delite covers more than 100 facilities list across the above categories including separate women washroom, disabled access, disabled washrooms, first aid kit, digital payments, and others.

We are thankful to all our customers, highway partners and all stakeholders for their continued support.  We are adding new initiatives to make highway travel more safe and convenient and give confidence to travellers and bring back the business for highway restaurants, which have been hit badly with covid effect. We have started the Prime Safe initiative to enable travellers to discover restaurant partners which are following safety and hygiene protocols. Further, we have introduced contact less QR code based food order at the restaurant and dhabas and very soon will go live with pre-ordering of food and takeaway for restaurants.  Further, we are enabling all these features to be part of car infotainment system very soon to bring seamless travel experience”, said Rajesh Ghatanatti, Founder, Highway Delite.

Overall, 1641 applications were received for National Startup Awards for 12 Sectors, further divided into 35 categories and 3 special categories. The aim of The National Startup Awards is to recognize and reward outstanding startups that are building innovative products, solutions or scalable enterprises with a high potential to generate employment, create wealth and above all, demonstrate measurable social impact.
