Indian Golfers with Disabilities Secure Two Podium Finishes in Czech Masters

Bengaluru, July 2: Indian golfers Vishnu Vardhan Bhati and Ankush Saha produced commendable performances at the Czech Disabled Golf Masters 2026, clinching second and third places respectively in the Nett Stroke Play category at Golf Resort Black Bridge in Prague.

Bhati, from Noida, finished with an overall score of two-under par. He topped the leaderboard after the opening round with an impressive six-under card but had to settle for second after a challenging final round played in intense heat. Czech golfer Teresa Srsnova claimed the title with the same aggregate score, prevailing on the basis of a superior second-round performance.

Bengaluru’s Ankush Saha impressed in his debut EDGA calendar event. After opening with a three-over 75 to lie 10th, he bounced back with a superb three-under round on the final day to finish level par overall. His stronger second-round score earned him third place.

The twin podium finishes mark another milestone for adaptive golf in India, where the Adaptive Golf Alliance Foundation (AGAF) has been actively promoting the sport. Since its inception six months ago, the foundation has expanded the number of Indian EDGA player pass holders from four to 28 and successfully hosted the inaugural India Adaptive Golf Open in Bengaluru earlier this year.

Bhati and Saha are the first Indian golfers to receive AGAF’s support for an international tournament, with their campaign sponsored by Genesis IT Innovations. AGAF believes the encouraging results underline India’s growing potential in adaptive golf and strengthen hopes of future success should the sport be included in the Paralympic Games.
