ISACA Bangalore Chapter Hosts Record-Breaking 29th Annual Karnataka Conference on AI Governance and Cybersecurity

Bengaluru, July 24, 2026: The ISACA Bangalore Chapter on Friday inaugurated the 29th Annual Karnataka Conference at Taj MG Road, Bengaluru, bringing together cybersecurity experts, technology leaders, policymakers, academicians and industry professionals to discuss the future of artificial intelligence, governance and information security. The two-day conference is being held on July 24 and 25 under the theme “Fortify the AI Backbone and Agentic AI – Govern, Secure, Thrive.”

The conference was inaugurated in the presence of Mr. Praveen KN, Zonal Commissioner, South Zone, BDA, Government of Karnataka, Mr. Upendra Upadhya, Chief Operating Officer, Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Government of India, and Director – Analytics, MyGov, along with Mr. T.R. Rajesh, President, ISACA Bangalore Chapter, Ms. Lalitha Satheesh, Vice President, ISACA Bangalore Chapter, and other dignitaries.

Delivering the keynote address, the chief guests highlighted the growing importance of building secure and responsible AI ecosystems while strengthening governance, cybersecurity and digital resilience. They emphasised the need for organisations to adopt AI responsibly while ensuring robust security and compliance frameworks.

Welcoming the delegates, Mr. T.R. Rajesh, President of ISACA Bangalore Chapter, said this year’s conference is the largest in the chapter’s history, with more than 400 registrations, surpassing last year’s record attendance of 300 delegates. He said the event provides an important platform for knowledge sharing, professional networking and discussions on emerging cybersecurity and AI challenges.

Ms. Lalitha Satheesh, Vice President and Conference Chair, outlined the conference agenda and thanked the chief guests, speakers and participants for contributing to the event.

Following the inauguration, the conference featured a series of plenary sessions led by industry experts. One of the key presentations, “AI’s Role in People, Processes and Technologies – An Organisational Perspective,” was delivered by Mr. Subramanian J, IT Risk & Compliance Practice, SQ1 Security Technology Private Limited, focusing on the practical adoption of AI while balancing governance, security and business objectives.

The conference also witnessed the release of the special conference edition of the ISACA Bangalore Chapter newsletter.

As part of the inaugural programme, the chief guests presented awards to top performers in the ISACA Certification Examinations conducted between June 2025 and December 2025. Outstanding achievers were recognised across certifications including Advanced in AI Audit (AAIA), Advanced in AI Security Management (AAISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), and Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE).

The two-day conference features a packed schedule of technical sessions, panel discussions and expert interactions focused on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, digital trust, governance and emerging technology trends, offering participants valuable insights into the rapidly evolving digital landscape.
