Bengaluru, June 2, 2026: Shriram Finance Limited (SFL), the flagship company of the Shriram Group, has announced a strategic partnership with the Padukone School of Badminton (PSB) as its Presenting Sponsor, reinforcing its commitment to supporting grassroots sports development across India.

The partnership was formally unveiled at the Padukone-Dravid Centre for Sports Excellence in Bengaluru by Umesh Revankar and legendary Indian badminton icon Prakash Padukone, founder of the Padukone School of Badminton.
As part of the collaboration, all existing and upcoming PSB centres across the country will be branded as “Shriram Finance presents Padukone School of Badminton.” The initiative aims to expand access to professional badminton coaching and nurture young sporting talent at the grassroots level.
Currently, PSB operates 75 coaching centres across 18 cities, offering structured training programmes for players at various skill levels. The alliance is expected to further strengthen the academy’s reach and impact among aspiring badminton players nationwide.
Key Features of the Partnership
All current and future PSB academies will carry the title “Shriram Finance presents Padukone School of Badminton.”
More than 2,000 branded T-shirts will be distributed to players, coaches and support staff across the academy network.
Shriram Finance will be the presenting sponsor for 13 open badminton tournaments and a “Powered By” sponsor for two All India Yonex tournaments.
Speaking at the launch, Umesh Revankar said the partnership reflects Shriram Finance’s long-standing philosophy of creating meaningful impact beyond financial services. He noted that the initiative seeks to inspire young athletes to pursue badminton with dedication and confidence while contributing to the growth of India’s grassroots sporting ecosystem.
Prakash Padukone welcomed the association, describing it as a partnership driven by a shared vision of identifying and nurturing talent at the grassroots level. He said the support from Shriram Finance would help expand access to quality coaching, strengthen infrastructure and create greater opportunities for aspiring players across the country.
The Padukone School of Badminton focuses on delivering professional coaching through a structured training framework covering technical skills, fitness, agility, match preparation and player development. The academy also runs coach certification programmes aimed at enhancing coaching standards and supporting the long-term growth of badminton in India.
