Bengaluru: A special Sri Krishnarghya ceremony was held at 11.45 pm on the occasion of Sri Krishna Janmashtami at the Nanjangud Sri Guru Raghavendra Swamy Mutt , located in Jayanagar 5th Block, Bengaluru.
The special celebrations were organised under the guidance of Paramapujya Sri 1008 Sri Subudhendra Teertha Sripadangalavaru and under the leadership of the Mutt’s Senior Manager, R.K. Vadindra Acharya.
As part of the Krishna Janmashtami celebrations, special pujas were performed by priests Krishnachar and Ramachandra Acharya. A beautifully decorated Nandanavana was created around a golden cradle, symbolising the divine birth of Lord Krishna.
Following the special rituals, R.K. Vadindra Acharya offered Sri Krishnarghya to Bala Krishna, whose idol was placed in front of the golden cradle. The offering was made with prayers for the welfare, peace and prosperity of the world.
Sri Nandakishore Acharya said that the sacred ceremony was conducted with great devotion and spiritual fervour, with devotees joining the rituals and seeking the blessings of Sri Hari, Vayu and Guru.
The staff of the Mutt, disciples and a large number of devotees participated in the celebrations and offered Arghya to Lord Krishna, seeking divine grace and blessings.
