Bengaluru: Devotees who had rendered special services during the annual aradhana celebrations of Sri Raghavendra Swamy at the Nanjangud Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt in Jayanagar 5th Block, Bengaluru, were taken on a pilgrimage to Mantralaya to seek the blessings and darshan of Sri Raghavendra Swamy.
The pilgrimage began with darshan of the village deity Manchalamma, followed by prayers at the shrine of Mukhyaprana. The devotees then offered prayers before the Moola Brindavana of Sri Raghavendra Swamy and recited the Sri Raghavendra Stotra and chanted “Om Sri Raghavendraya Namaha” before seeking the darshan of the Brindavana.
The devotees later met His Holiness Sri 1008 Sri Subudhendra Tirtha Sripadangalavaru. R.K. Vadindracharya, administrator of the mutt, briefed the pontiff about the services and support extended by devotees during the aradhana celebrations at the Jayanagar branch.
The devotees also respectfully offered the shesha vastra, fruits and mantrakshata from the Jayanagar mutt to Sri Sripadangalavaru. According to Sri Nandakishore Acharya, the offerings were made as a mark of devotion and gratitude.
On the occasion, Ravikumar presented a beautifully prepared dry-fruit garland to Sri Sripadangalavaru. Appreciating the offering, the pontiff said it should instead be offered to the utsava murti of Sri Raghavendra Swamy, Sri Prahlada Rajaru. He personally received the garland and offered it to the deity, blessing the devotees.
Another devotee, Maitreesh, offered 80 kg of pure honey for the abhisheka of Sri Guru Raghavendra Swamy and received the blessings of the pontiff. Several devotees also made different offerings as part of their seva and expressed their devotion to Guru Rayaru.
Blessing the devotees, Sri Subudhendra Tirtha Sripadangalavaru said that the devotees had rendered their services with devotion at the Jayanagar 5th Block branch and had now brought the same devotion to Mantralaya to offer prayers before the Moola Brindavana.
He blessed the devotees, wishing that Sri Raghavendra Swamy would shower them with special grace and bless them with good health, happiness and prosperity. He encouraged devotees to visit Mantralaya every year, receive the padodaka, mantrakshata and prasada, and seek the blessings of Guru Rayaru.
He further said that Nanjangud Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutts and their branches have been established across the country for the benefit of devotees, providing them opportunities to worship and seek the grace of Sri Raghavendra Swamy.
Sri Sripadangalavaru also blessed R.K. Vadindracharya, the senior administrator of the Jayanagar mutt, along with the staff and volunteers, and distributed fruits and mantrakshata.
The devotees later participated in the Sri Moola Rama Chandradevaru Puja, received prasada and took part in the special evening celebrations. The pilgrimage concluded with the devotees expressing their gratitude and devotion and seeking the continued blessings of Sri Raghavendra Swamy.
