Bengaluru: An emotional and deeply moving incident was shared by a devotee at the Nanjanagudu Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt in Jayanagar 5th Block, popularly regarded by devotees as a second Mantralaya.
A devotee who has been visiting the Mutt for nearly a decade recently shared his personal experience with priest Sri Nandakishore Acharya, Mutt manager Sri R.K. Vadindra Acharya and other devotees present at the premises.
According to the devotee, he had been diagnosed with cancer around ten years ago. He said that the diagnosis left him deeply worried, following which he turned to Sri Raghavendra Swamy with unwavering faith and devotion.
He said that he regularly visited the Mutt, particularly on Thursdays, lit lamps and offered prayers seeking the blessings of Sri Gururaya. He also said he regularly received the sacred Padodaka and Mantrakshata and continued his medical consultations and periodic health check-ups.
During a recent medical examination, the devotee said, his doctor informed him that the tests showed no evidence of cancer and that his condition had improved. The development left him surprised and emotional.
The devotee attributed his experience to the blessings of Sri Raghavendra Swamy and said his faith in Gururaya had given him immense strength throughout the difficult period. He also shared his belief that the blessings associated with the Mantrakshata and his prayers had played a significant role in his experience.
After receiving the news from the hospital, he immediately returned to the Jayanagar Mutt, lit lamps and offered prayers. Overcome with emotion, he shared his experience with fellow devotees and expressed his gratitude to Sri Raghavendra Swamy.
Addressing the devotees, he said that his experience had strengthened his faith and urged others to continue their prayers with devotion. He repeatedly expressed his belief that Gururaya had stood by him during his difficult period.
The incident touched the devotees gathered at the Mutt, who listened to the devotee’s emotional account of his personal journey and his deep faith in Sri Raghavendra Swamy.
