
A Baby Feeding Centre and Rest Room for Senior Citizens and Differently-abled persons was inaugurated at Trinity Metro Station yesterday, marking a thoughtful step towards inclusive public infrastructure and commuter comfort.

The facility was formally inaugurated by Lion Akasha A. Suvarna, District Governor, along with First Lady Lion Ashwini A. Suvarna, in the presence of officials from the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited and members of the Lions fraternity.
The initiative aims to provide a safe, hygienic, and accessible space for nursing mothers, elderly passengers, and persons with disabilities using the metro services.
The event witnessed the gracious presence of several distinguished members of Lions International District 317F, including Lion Vijaya, District Cabinet Secretary, Lion Deepak Suman, Head of Lions Blood Bank, Lion Pradeep Kumar, District Cabinet Treasurer, and Lion Vijay Kumar Menon, District Chairperson-Image Building. Also present was Lion Manoharan Nambiar, Past District Governor, who added significance to the occasion with his presence.

Speaking on the occasion, the dignitaries highlighted the importance of creating inclusive and people-centric facilities in public spaces, especially in high-footfall areas like metro stations. The initiative reflects the Lions Club’s continued commitment to community service and social responsibility, in collaboration with BMRCL.
The newly inaugurated centre is expected to greatly benefit daily commuters, ensuring dignity, convenience, and care for some of the most sensitive sections of society.
