Wonderla Unveils ‘Terrea’ A Nature-Inspired Urban Resort in Bengaluru

Bengaluru, April 14, 2026: Wonderla Holidays Ltd. has announced the launch of Terrea by Wonderla, a reimagined, nature-themed urban resort located next to its amusement park in Bengaluru. The new property marks a complete transformation of the former Wonderla Resort, repositioning it from a functional stay option into a premium, design-led destination for modern travellers.

The earlier resort primarily catered to park visitors seeking convenience. Terrea, however, represents a ground-up overhaul of the guest experience. Completed over nearly eight months with an investment of around ₹18 crore, the revamped property is aimed at tapping into Bengaluru’s growing demand for high-quality staycations that combine accessibility with elevated design and comfort.

The resort now features 84 redesigned rooms spread across three distinct themes-Botanic Chic, Urban Pop and Coastal Modern-with each floor offering a unique aesthetic identity. Dining has also been upgraded with the all-day restaurant ‘Woods’, showcasing Mediterranean-inspired interiors, a live kitchen and curated European-style furnishings. Guests can also unwind at the poolside bar.

Adding to the leisure quotient, Terrea offers a temperature-controlled swimming pool and the Caribbean Whirl, an exclusive in-house water attraction. The property also includes flexible banquet and event spaces suited for weddings, corporate gatherings and social functions. Its proximity-just 300 metres-to the Wonderla amusement park allows for a seamless park-and-stay experience.

Sustainability remains a key focus in the redesign. The resort incorporates natural materials such as clay wall panels, lava stone finishes and eco-friendly wallpapers, alongside handcrafted bamboo lighting sourced from artisans in Northeast India.
The design, developed by Muse n Aura Designs, is based on an ‘Earthen Luxe’ philosophy-blending organic textures, earthy tones and fluid spatial elements to create immersive yet understated luxury.

Speaking on the launch, Arun K. Chittilappilly said the move is part of Wonderla’s broader vision to extend its entertainment ecosystem beyond theme parks. He noted that while the company has served millions of guests over the past 25 years, its focus is now on creating integrated leisure destinations that encourage longer stays and richer experiences.

Dheeran Choudhary added that the redevelopment strategy focused on enhancing guest-facing elements while retaining the existing structural framework. This approach, he said, allowed the company to maximise impact without extensive reconstruction, while also introducing upgraded leisure and event infrastructure.

Terrea becomes the second hospitality offering within Wonderla’s Bengaluru campus, complementing The Isle by Wonderla, a boutique retreat designed for quieter, nature-led experiences. Together, the two properties aim to cater to a wide range of travellers-from families and corporate groups to couples and staycation seekers-without overlapping in positioning.

With Terrea, Wonderla is looking to redefine the urban resort experience in Bengaluru, blending accessibility, design and recreation into a single, integrated destination.
