Bengaluru December 11, 2018:Organic Mandya is opening its new flagship supermarket in Indiranagar to fulfill the much needed demand for 100% chemical-free produce from its residents.
The store, about 1000 sq ft in size would be inaugurated by an organic farmer from a village near Mandya (from whom Organic Mandya buys variety of produce) and to witness the same around 50 farmers from Mandya came to Bangalore and were pleased to see their produce beautifully packed and placed on racks.
The company operates on a unique model, in that, it buys all of its produce directly from the farmers (through a cop-op society called Mandya Organic Farmers Co Op Society) and sell the produce through a chain of supermarkets as well as online e-commerce platform.
This is Organic Mandya’s 5th store in the city and a 2nd company owned store that will offer chemical-free produce straight from the farmers. The company also offers a franchise to people that want to partake in this mission and help do their bit towards making organic farming and food a reality for all the farmers and consumers.
“At Organic Mandya, we’ve always strived to provide food that’s 100% chemical-free while making sure our farmers get the fair pay,” Said Madhu Chandan, Founder of Organic Mandya. “We want to open at least 10 more stores next year to help fulfill our mission of making consumers and farmers healthy.”
