In a bid to recognize the ardent runner, the Procam Slam was launched in 2018; a rewards and recognition program for runners who complete four feature races in Procam’s running calendar . The first edition of the Procam Slam concluded and in an over-whelming response, 125 runners have successfully completed the slam. These runners will be rewarded with a customized running kit, special bib number, unique crafted medal among others.
Adding a level of excitement moving forward, all four Procam races will now be featured in a slam – cycle. Commencing April 2019, there will be 4 Procam Slam cycles, Bengaluru – Mumbai; Delhi – Bengaluru; Kolkata – Delhi & Mumbai – Kolkata.
A runner now can start his/her Procam Slam cycle by participating in any of the 4 Procam running events and running the subsequent three distance running events promoted by Procam. This cycle adaptation of the slam, makes a participant eligible for the Slam cycle leaderboard (that will consist of the top 20 female & male runners based on aggregate net finish times), post completion of a cycle of finishing 4 consecutive feature races.
For eg: A successful Open 10K finisher in the TCS World 10K 2019 edition will be eligible to be considered in the Bengaluru – Mumbai Slam Cycle Leaderboard, post his completion of Marathon in the Tata Mumbai Marathon 2020, if he/she had also completed the feature races of Tata Steel Kolkata 25K 2019 and the Airtel Delhi Half Marathon 2019, within the defined cut-off time.
With the adaptation of cyclic structure for the Procam Slam, the first cycle (Bengaluru – Mumbai) leaderboard winners will be announced post the Tata Mumbai Marathon 2020 and subsequently at the end of each race on the Procam Running Calendar.
With an estimated over 26,000 runners set to participate in this year’s run, the 2019 edition of the TCS World 10K is all set to be a Sunday morning filled with community spirit and personal bests yet again.
