Press meet held at Press Club of Bangalore

Aam Aadmi Party Karnataka Wednesday announced the joining of Dr. Madhusudan Seethappa, an eminent ophthalmologist and a social activist from Bagepalli to the party.
Addressing the media on the occassion, Karnataka State In-charge, Dilip Pandey said, “We are thrilled to have Dr. Seethappa join our party. Dr. Siddappa’s expertise will be a valuable asset to the party, particularly in the areas of health systems , irrigation and farmer issues. We welcome him to the AAP family and look forward to working with him to bring about positive change for the people of Karnataka”.

On joining the Aam Aadmi Party, Dr. Madhu Seethappa said, “I am happy to be part of the AAP family. AAP is a party run by democratic values and gives emphasis on inclusion of all communities and all strata of people. I have always worked for the upliftment of the people. Intelligent people should enter politics for the betterment of the society. Karnataka has been marred with corruption and communal outrages and this has to change. I believe that AAP can bring that change”.
Madhu Seethappa is a senior corneal surgeon. He is currently working at Optimax Hospital in Tumakuru and has a significant number of corneal surgeries to his credit. Dr. Seethappa is also a social activist and has written articles on the fate of farmers in drought-affected districts, highlighting the social, economic and health effects of the farmers in those areas.
He had submitted a detailed project report prepared by Sanlac Company in 2014 on how to rectify the mistakes in ongoing Yettinahole project, KC valley & HN valley projects. He also submitted the detailed project report about diverting 40 TMCs of water from Linganamakki dam to then honourable irrigation minister Mr. M.B. Patil.
Dr. Seethappa has been a close associate of Late Commorade GV Sreerama Reddy, a CPM leader and two time MLA from Bagepalli constituency. He has been leading the Praja Sangharasha Samiti since 2017 after the founder GV Sreerama Reddy’s demise. PSS is an organization that works for the upliftment of farmers and farmer issues in Bagepalli.
He has recently started a 90 days movement called Jana Jagruthi Jaatha to fight against electoral corruption, constituencies problems/development & to aims to prevent BJP to gain Power.
