Bengaluru, May 14: Electric motorcycle maker Oben Electric is betting big on Karnataka as it looks to accelerate sales of its newly launched Rorr EVO. The company expects nearly 30% of the motorcycle’s total sales in FY2026 to come from the state, underlining Karnataka’s growing importance in its expansion plans.
At an exclusive showcase held at the company’s flagship showroom in HSR Layout, Bengaluru, Oben Electric highlighted Karnataka’s strong contribution to its business. The state accounted for more than 20% of the company’s total sales in the last financial year, making it one of its best-performing markets. The company also claimed the top spot as Karnataka’s highest-selling electric motorcycle brand during FY26.
Speaking at the event, Madhumita Agrawal said Karnataka continues to remain a key market for the company, not only in terms of sales but also as the centre of its innovation and manufacturing operations. She noted that Bengaluru has played a major role in Oben Electric’s growth journey and said the new Rorr EVO reflects the company’s focus on combining design, performance, technology and practicality for Indian riders.
The Rorr EVO has been positioned as a premium yet practical electric motorcycle aimed at urban commuters and performance enthusiasts alike. Featuring a streetfighter-inspired design, the motorcycle offers a top speed of 110 kmph and an IDC-certified range of 180 km on a single charge. It also supports fast charging, taking the battery from 0 to 80% in around 90 minutes.
The motorcycle is powered by the company’s proprietary 9 kW motor and a 3.4 kWh LFP battery pack developed for Indian road and weather conditions. Oben Electric said the battery technology offers improved thermal resistance, enhanced safety and longer life compared to conventional systems.
The company has also introduced SmartIQ, its intelligent ride optimisation technology, which is designed to improve riding efficiency and extend range by up to 15%. Other rider-focused features include a long seat, 10-litre storage capacity, reverse mode, connected vehicle technology and multiple safety alerts.
The New Rorr EVO is currently available at a special introductory price of ₹99,999 (ex-showroom) for the first 10,000 customers. After that, the price will increase to ₹1,24,999 (ex-showroom). Bookings have opened at ₹777, while deliveries across the country are expected to begin from June 2026.
Oben Electric currently operates 10 showrooms in Karnataka and has a presence across 18 states through a network of 150 showrooms. The company plans to expand this footprint to 350 showrooms by the end of the year. Bengaluru also houses Oben Electric’s manufacturing and innovation hub, with a production facility capable of manufacturing one lakh units annually, scalable up to three lakh units.
