Bengaluru: Thousands of devotees gathered at the Nanjanagoodu Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt in Jayanagar 5th Block to participate in the Madhyaradhane celebrations of Sri Raghavendra Swamy.
The special religious programmes were organised as per the sankalpa of His Holiness Sri Sri Subudhendra Theertha Sripadangal and with the support and cooperation of devotees. The rituals were conducted under the leadership of the Mutt’s senior administrator, R.K. Vadheendra Acharya.
As part of the Madhyaradhane celebrations, special Pada Puja, Kanakabhisheka and Phala Samarpane were performed. On the occasion, R.K. Vadheendra Acharya offered a specially crafted golden idol of Sri Guru Rayaru embedded with Navaratnas (nine precious gems) to the deity, fulfilling the wishes of devotees who had extended their support for the offering.
Following the offering, the priests of the Mutt specially adorned the Brindavana with the Navaratna Kavacha. Sri Nanda Kishore Acharya said the elaborate rituals were conducted with the participation and devotion of a large number of devotees.
Film actor Srinath and Retd. IGP. Gopal Hosur Police Dept. also visited the Mutt and sought the blessings of Sri Guru Raghavendra Swamy.
The devotion of the devotees was evident in the long queues that extended up to the Ganapati Temple near Shalini Maidan. Darshan began at 5 a.m., and devotees continued to arrive in large numbers until 11 p.m. Despite the rain, the flow of devotees remained steady throughout the day.
The evening witnessed a series of special programmes, including the Pallakki Utsava, Gajavahanotsava, Rathotsava and Chende Vadana. From children to senior citizens, devotees participated with great enthusiasm, dancing in devotion and offering their prayers to Guru Rayaru.
The celebrations concluded with devotees receiving the blessings of Mahamangalaarati, bringing the spiritually vibrant Madhyaradhane celebrations to a close.
