“ITF 2019′ is happening from December 14″, 2019 to December 21”

Prabhath Auditoriums is an initiative to bring various state-of-the-art performance spaces under one roof while creating beautiful cosmoses for artists to connect with their audience, It intends to provide an engaging platform for young artists and hopes to cultivate the wondrous culture of performing arts. Prabhath auditoriums was started three years ago and has witnessed over 1000 shows across its 3 spaces and has recently added its fourth space at Jakkur. Prabhath Auditorium’s stage has hosted over 800 artists and around 2,00,000 audience in its 3 years. We have hosted dance, theatre, music and various comedy performances every month. Prabhath aims to find a self-sustaining model for itself and artists who are associated with the organization without the support of grants and funds. To support this vision, Prabhath has created various curated programs such as Aayam, Ondanondu Kathe, Nataka 365 etc. Aayam is an initiative to cultivate the culture of ticketing dance shows for independent artists of which, a part of the ticketing is given to the performer. Aayam opened with the series celebrating male classical dancers and has seen about 4 male dancers and wishes to conclude it with a dance festival. Taking the love for literature and acting a step further, Ondanondu Kathe, curates, stories in performance by actors, who choose short stories written by new age writers. ONK saw a great success with 5 performers and 5 wonderful short stories.

We are hosting Nataka 365, in which 365 plays will be hosted at KH Kalasoudha everyday starting this Jan and running through the year in which the teams need not pay a rent but both the team and the venue will make an effort in bringing theatre lovers every day to the venue. This is an effort to encourage theatre teams and make the space affordable. For its 3rd anniversary, Prabhath Auditoriums is holding an ‘Intimate Theatre Festival’ at Prabhath Kalapoornima housed at the bustling markets of NR Colony, Basavanagudi, Bengaluru. The Intimate Theatre Festival is seeing 8 wonderful plays of different parts of state from December 14th, 2019 to December 21, 2019 by 8 amazing and reputed directors learned from different drama schools like Ninasam Theatre Institute, Heggodu, National School of Drama, Inter-Cultural Theatre Institue, Singapore etc. It is bringing together a blend of various genres of plays. With the rents and accessibility of theatre being difficult, it calls for a new trend for alternative performance spaces. That being said, we need productions that are made to fit into the constraints of small spaces. ITF is an effort to explore this possibility in Kannada theatre. ITF aims to encourage theatre teams to experiment with new spaces like Prabhath Kalapoornima and create content for these spaces, and ITF is just the beginning. GINCELERATOR seeks to foster innovative solutions for real-world issues

The accelerator programme from GINSERV shows support for tech start-ups in
Bengaluru for the knowledge economy

Bengaluru, 11 December: Dozens of businesses and investors participated in the Demo Day held here in Bengaluru at Bangalore International Centre, to see the technology demonstrations from the 22 start-up firms participating in the GINCELERATOR 2019 from GINSERV. GINSERV aims to encourage and support the establishment and development of technology start-ups in Bengaluru in order to promote and stimulate a knowledge-based economy. The ‘Gincelerator’ programme, of a duration of three months, aims to prepare the selected companies to emerge ready to hit the market on their own, with a strong positioning to claim a share of the target markets.

GINSERV 2019, the tech demonstrator programme, is set to see well-known investors like:

Parag Dhol from Inventus, Muthukrishnan Chinnasamy from Soniqaudio, Anup Kuruvilla and Girichandra from 1crowd, Manish Singhal from Pi Ventures, Suryaprakash Konanuru from Ideaspringcap, Aditya K from Chiratae Investment Firm, Digvijay Singh from Indian Angel Network, Apoorv Ranjan Sharma from Venture Catalyst, Suresh Narasimha from Cocreate Ventures among other well-known investors. Global Incubation Services is part of the incubation services that intends to give an impetus to developing companies by providing access to mentorship, investors and other support that help them become stable and self-sufficient in their businesses. The accelerator programme is financially supported by the National Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board, Government of India.

The presentations at the event would conclude the accelerator programme which is being held in partnership with IIM Ahmedabad’s incubator CIIE, KIIT, Indigram Labs, Bhive, TiE Bangalore among others.

“This programme is a significant part of our strategy to find, cultivate and invest in cutting-edge solutions that solve real-world challenges. I wish all the best to all the startups that are set to participate,” said Dr PKB Menon, MD, GINSERV. “GINSERV takes pride in providing a platform to startups in working with their mentors to spur innovations and investments in technology,” added Dr Menon. “We look forward to continuing our endeavour to spur innovations and play a part in job-generation,” he said.

GINSERV’s partnerships have fostered a collaborative environment that combines top-class business leaders with leading investors to speed up the start-ups’ go-to-market strategy.

GINCELERATOR 2019 is the first edition of the programme from the technology business incubator and business accelerator GINSERV operating from Bengaluru.

GINSERV will also be offering “Seed Fund” provided by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India to the selected eligible start-ups that would be finally shortlisted.

The current programme was restricted to Bengaluru, and GINSERV is planning the next accelerator programme to include start-ups from other parts of India.

ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಹಿಂದುಳಿದ ನಮ್ಮ ಉಪ್ಪಾರ ಸಮಾಜವು ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ 35 ರಿಂದ 40 ಲಕ್ಷ ಜನಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿರುತ್ತದೆ . ಈ ಸಮಾಜಕ್ಕೆ ಆರ್ಥಿಕವಾಗಿ , ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕವಾಗಿ , ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕವಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತು ರಾಜಕೀಯವಾಗಿ ಸಮಾನ ಮತ್ತು ಸರಿಯಾದ ನ್ಯಾಯ ದೊರಕಿಸಲು ನಮ್ಮ ಸಮಾಜದ ಅನೇಕ ಹಿರಿಯರು , ಪೂಜ್ಯರು ಹಾಗೂ ಅನೇಕ ಸಂಘ – ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳು , ಸಂಘಟನೆಗಳು ಸುಮಾರು ದಶಕಗಳಿಂದ ಹೋರಾಟ ನಡೆಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ . ಆದರೆ ಫಲಿತಾಂಶ ಮಾತ್ರ ಬಹಳ ವಿರಳವೆಂದೇ ಹೇಳಬೇಕಾಗುತ್ತದೆ . ಎಲ್ಲಾ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಪಕ್ಷಗಳು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕೇವಲ ಮತದಾನದ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಮತಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಆಗಿ ಬಳಸಿಕೊಂಡು , ಅಧಿಕಾರದ ಚುಕ್ಕಾಣಿ ಹಿಡಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಈ ಸಮಾಜವನ್ನು ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದಿರುತ್ತವೆ . ಈ ಸಮಾಜದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೇವಲ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಶಾಸಕರು , ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬರಿಗೆ ಮಂತ್ರಿ ಪದವಿ , ಒಬ್ಬರು ಎಮ್ . ಎಲ್ . ಸಿ . , ಇಬ್ಬರು ನಿಗಮ ಮಂಡಳಿ , ಇನ್ನು ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಪಂಚಾಯತಿ , ಪಟ್ಟಣ ಪಂಚಾಯತಿ , ಪುರಸಭೆ , ನಗರ ಸಭೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಗ್ರಾಮ ಪಂಚಾಯತಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಣ್ಣ ಪುಟ್ಟ ಹುದ್ದೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟರೆ , ಉನ್ನತ ಮಟ್ಟದ ಅಧಿಕಾರವನ್ನು ಯಾವುದೇ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಪಕ್ಷಗಳು ನಮಗೆ ನೀಡಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ . ಹೀಗೆ ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ನಾವು ಶೋಷಣೆಗೆ ಒಳಗಾಗುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದಿದ್ದೇವೆ . ಇನ್ನು ನೌಕರರ ಮತ್ತು ಮಹಿಳೆಯರ ವಿಚಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದರೆ , ನಮ್ಮ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಲವಾರು ಇಲಾಖೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಉನ್ನತ ಮಟ್ಟದ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಿಂದ ಹಿಡಿದು ಸಿಪಾಯಿ / “ ಡಿ ” ದರ್ಜೆಯ ಹುದ್ದೆಯ ಮಟ್ಟದ ನೌಕರರಿಗೆ ಏನೇ ತೊಂದರೆ ಬಂದರೂ ಯಾರೂ ಕೇಳುವವರಿಲ್ಲದಂತಾಗಿದೆ . ನಮ್ಮ ಸಮಾಜದ ನೌಕರರ ಮೇಲೆ –

ಹಲವಾರು ಇಲಾಖೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಅನ್ಯಾಯ / ದೌರ್ಜನ್ಯ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದಿದೆ . ಈಗಲೂ ಸಹ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದೆ . ಆದರೆ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟಿಸಲು ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಘಟನಾ ಬಲ ಅಥವಾ ಸಂಘಟನೆಯ ಧ್ವನಿ ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ . ಅದೇ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಮಾಜದ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರು ಸಹ ಆರ್ಥಿಕವಾಗಿ , ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕವಾಗಿ , ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕವಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತು ರಾಜಕೀಯವಾಗಿ ತುಂಬಾ ಹಿಂದುಳಿದಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ . ಯಾವ ರಂಗದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸಹ ನಮ್ಮ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರಿಗೆ ಉನ್ನತ ಮಟ್ಟದ ಸ್ಥಾನಮಾನ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ . ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗೆ ನಡೆದ ಕನ್ನಡ ರಾಜ್ಯೋತ್ಸವದಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಮಾಜದ ಓರ್ವ ಮಹಿಳೆಗೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ಕನ್ನಡ ರಾಜ್ಯೋತ್ಸವ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ದೊರಕಿರುವುದು ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯ ವಿಷಯ . ಆದರೆ ಈ ಸಮಾಜದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಲವಾರು ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಧನೆಗೈದ ಇನ್ನೂ ಅನೇಕ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರಿದ್ದಾರೆ . ಆದರೆ , ಅವರನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸಿ ಗೌರವಿಸುವ ಮಹತ್ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಯಾವ ಸಂಘಟನೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಯಾವ ಪಕ್ಷಗಳು ಮಾಡಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ . ಆದ ಕಾರಣ , ನಮ್ಮ ಸಮಾಜದ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಘಟನೆಯ ಶಕ್ತಿ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನವಾಗಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ .

ಹೀಗೆ ಹಲವಾರು ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸೂಕ್ಷ್ಮವಾಗಿ ಪರಿಶೀಲಿಸಿ ಈ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ( ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳ ಕುರಿತು ಹಾಗೂ ನಮ್ಮ ನೌಕರರಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮಹಿಳೆಯರಿಗೆ ಆಗುತ್ತಿರುವ ಅನ್ಯಾಯ ಮತ್ತು ದೌರ್ಜನ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹಾಗೂ | ಇನ್ನಿತರ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಮುಂದ ತೋರ್ಪಡಿಸಿ ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಸೂಕ್ತವಾದ ಪರಿಹಾರ ದೊರಕಿಸಿ ಕೊಡುವ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅಖಿಲ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಉಪಾರ ಮಹಾಸಭಾ ( ರಿ ) , ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಇವರ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಬೃಹತ್ ಸಮಾವೇಶವನ್ನು ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಲು ತೀರ್ಮಾನಿಸಿದೆ . ಅಷ್ಟೇ ಅಲ್ಲದೆ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ನಗರ ಮತ್ತು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಗ್ರಾಮಾಂತರ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಸುತ್ತಮುತ್ತಲಿನ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಎಸ್ . ಎಸ್ . ಎಲ್ . ಸಿ . , ಮತ್ತು ದ್ವಿತೀಯ ಪಿ . ಯೂ . ಸಿ . ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿ 80 % ಮತ್ತು ಅಧಿಕ ಅಂಕ ಪಡೆದ ಪ್ರತಿಭಾವಂತ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿಭಾ ಪುರಸ್ಕಾರ ಮತ್ತು ನಮ್ಮ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಪ್ಪಾರ ಸಮಾಜದ ಸಂಘಟನೆಯ ಕುರಿತು ತಮ್ಮ ಜೀವಮಾನವನ್ನೇ ಸಮಾಜಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಡುಪಾಗಿಟ್ಟು , ಸಮಾಜದಲ್ಲಿ ಅನೇಕ ಬದಲಾವಣೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದಂತಹ ಮಹನೀಯರಿಗೆ ಗೌರವ ಸಮರ್ಪಣಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಲು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ . ಈ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ದಿನಾಂಕ 15 . 12 . 2019ರ ಭಾನುವಾರದಂದು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ “ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರ ಸದನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಖಿಲ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಉಪ್ಪಾರ ಮಹಾಸಭಾ ( ರಿ ) , ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಇವರ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಮಟ್ಟದ “ ಉಪ್ಪಾರ ನೌಕರರ , ವೃತ್ತಿಪರರ ಮತ್ತು ಮಹಿಳೆಯರ ಬೃಹತ್ ಸಮಾವೇಶ ” ಹಾಗೂ “ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ನಗರ , ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಗ್ರಾಮಾಂತರ ಹಾಗೂ ಸುತ್ತಮುತ್ತಲಿನ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗಳ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿಭಾ ಪುರಸ್ಕಾರ ” ಹಾಗೂ “ ಸಾಧಕರಿಗೆ / ಹಿರಿಯರಿಗೆ ಗೌರವ ಸಮರ್ಪಣಾ ” ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ . ಕಾರಣ , ಉಪ್ಪಾರ ಸಮಾಜದ ಬಂಧುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಿನಮ್ರತೆಯಿಂದ ವಿನಂತಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದೇನೆಂದರೆ , ದಯವಿಟ್ಟು ತಾವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಕುಟುಂಬ ಸಮೇತ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಆಗಮಿಸಿ , ಈ ಬೃಹತ್ ಸಮಾವೇಶವನ್ನು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಗೊಳಿಸಿ , ಸಮಾಜದ ಪ್ರಗತಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಏಳಿಗೆಗೆ ಮುನ್ನುಡಿ ಬರೆಯಬೇಕೆಂದು ಹಾಗೂ ಮುನ್ನುಡಿ ಬರೆದವರಲ್ಲಿ ತಾವೂ ಒಬ್ಬರಾಗಬೇಕೆಂಬುದು ನಮ್ಮ ಆಶಯ . . . . . . ಜೈ ಭಗೀರಥ .

YOUTH PHOTOGRAPHIC SOCIETY, BENGALURU

Youth Photographic Society, Bengaluru is organizing a Photography Exhibition titled ‘BEST OF THE BEST’, to celebrate the stupendous achievement by winning 65+ BEST CLUB AWARDS from both National and International Photography Salons held in India as well as abroad in the last two years. “Salon’ means exhibition of art for the viewing pleasure of public. When salons are arranged to display photographic art, such exhibitions are called “Photography Salons”.

Fédération Internationale de l’Art Photographique (FIAP) having its headquarters presently at Paris, France was founded in 1946 and Photographic Society of America (PSA) founded in 1934 having its headquarters in Oklahoma, USA, are two internationally recognised bodies in the field of photography. These bodies started recognising photography salons and awarding distinctions like AFIAP, EFIAP, MFIAP & APSA, EPSA etc., in the field of photography. Royal Photographic Society (RPS) of London is another well known body, who award distinctions like ARPS, FRPS etc. to individuals based on their photography work. All the above distinctions are recognised world over and every photographer feels proud to suffix the distinctions achieved. Apart from the above, various other bodies like Global Photographic Union (GPU), Master of Light Photographic Association (MoL PA), International Union of Photographers (IUP) and Federation of Indian Photography (FIP) have also come into existence subsequently and started recognising salons.

Photography Salons are organised by various photographic clubs across the world under patronage of photographic bodies as mentioned above, in accordance with the terms and conditions laid down. All the salons organised in India are required to obtain patronage of FIP the National Body. The photographs submitted by the entrants in any recognised salon are subjected to judging by erminent panel of jury and selection of pictures are done for exhibition which is termed as ‘Acceptances’ and among them ‘Awards’ are given to most deserving photographs, while doing so the standards as prescribed by patronage bodies are strictly adhered and the conditions prescribed are complied.

YPS members participated in such ‘Photography Salons’ in very high number due to constant guidance, support and encouragement extended to them by creating a platform to encourage group participation. As a result YPs members achieved very high rate of success by winning acceptances as well as awards. Most of the organizing bodies, based on the number of member’s success by each of the participating clubs award points to each of the photograph winning Acceptance and Award, and the photography club acquiring highest points are given BEST CLUB AWARD. In the last two years YPS has won 65+ BEST CLUB AWARDS from about 100 different ‘Photography Salons’ held across the world.

To celebrate this spectacular achievement and to have the award winning and best works of the salon participation group, YPS is organizing an exhibition titled ‘Best of the Best that will display about 84 selected works by the members which have bagged Acceptances and Awards in various photography salons. We invite and encourage all interested people of the city to visit this exhibition and encourage the artists as well as feel proud about the achievements of a club from our own Bengaluru.
