Coca-Cola partners with United Way Mumbai to provide PPE and hygiene aid kits to the frontline warriors during COVID-19 Outbreak

~ Aims to support 48 hospitals, impacting 9600 healthcare and medical staff, and more than 65,000 public service personnel

Karnataka, 2nd July 2020: As the need to step up relief efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic continues, Coca-Cola in India has partnered with United Way Mumbai to augment healthcare initiatives in 48 public hospitals across eight states in the country. Apart from large-scale support to public hospitals and healthcare workers, the partnership has also committed to serving 65000+ public service personnel such as sanitation workers, police staff and community health workers across the nation. This initiative is a part of Coca-Cola’s commitment of INR 100 crores towards helping the healthcare system and communities to combat the crisis and contain the spread of the pandemic.

As a part of this relief initiative, Coca-Cola and United Way Mumbai along with support from partner NGO Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled has commenced the distribution drive in Karnataka. PPE and hygiene aid kits are being distributed amongst frontline warriors in Karnataka to help them fight against the spread of coronavirus. A total of 1200 healthcare workers across 6 hospitals, 8000 sanitation workers, 2050 police personnel and 1100 community health workers are expected to benefit in this region.

The initial phase of the relief program will be rolled out in eight critically affected states including Maharashtra (Mumbai, Pune), Delhi, Tamil Nadu (Chennai), Karnataka (Bengaluru), Telangana (Hyderabad), Gujarat, Punjab and Haryana. To provide immediate support and enhancement of health infrastructure, public hospitals will be provided with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) comprising N95 masks, 3-ply disposable masks, surgical caps, surgical goggles, waterproof gown, shoe covers, gloves for the safety of healthcare workers. The support package will also include sanitizer dispensers, additional ICU beds, and non-contact thermometers for medical preparedness in dealing with the anticipated number of cases across the country. Working alongside the government bodies and local institutions to support basic needs and ensure safety and protection of our frontline healthcare personnel and communities, this outreach aims to positively impact 9600 healthcare workers and over 9 lakh patients across India.

Additionally, to equip public service personnel such as police staff, sanitation workers and other community and social workers who are working in the hotspot zones, protective gears such as masks and gloves along with sanitizer dispensers will also be provided. This support is expected to reach approximately 50,000 sanitation workers, 11,000+ police personnel and 6,000 community health workers across India.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು: ಐಟಿ, ಇನ್ಫ್ರಾ, ಆಟೋ ಮತ್ತು ಇಂಧನ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಖರೀದಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಭಾರತೀಯ ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆಗಳು ಸತತ ಎರಡನೇ ದಿನವೂ ಬಲವಾಗಿ ಕೊನೆಗೊಂಡಿತು. ನಿಫ್ಟಿ ಶೇಕಡ 1.17 ಅಥವಾ 121.65 ಪಾಯಿಂಟ್‌ಗಳ ಏರಿಕೆ ಕಂಡು 10,551.70 ಕ್ಕೆ ತಲುಪಿದ್ದರೆ, ಎಸ್ ಆ್ಯಂಡ್ ಪಿ ಬಿಎಸ್‌ಇ ಸೆನ್ಸೆಕ್ಸ್ ಶೇಕಡ 1.21 ಅಥವಾ 429.25 ಪಾಯಿಂಟ್‌ಗಳ ಏರಿಕೆ ಕಂಡು 35,843.70 ಕ್ಕೆ ತಲುಪಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಏಂಜಲ್‌ ಬ್ರೋಕಿಂಗ್‌ ಲಿಮಿಟೆಡ್‌ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಹೆಡ್‌ ಅಡ್ಚೆಂಸರಿ ಆಮರ್‌ ದಿಯೋ ಸಿಂಗ್‌ ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಆಕ್ಸಿಸ್ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕಿನ ಷೇರುಗಳು ಶೇಕಡ 1.95 ನಷ್ಟು ಇಳಿದು ರೂ. 424.80 ರೂ. ವಿವಿಧ ಉಪಕರಣಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡುವ ಮೂಲಕ 15,000 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂ. ಜರ್ಮನ್ ಬಯೋಟೆಕ್ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಪಡಿಸಿದ ಕೋವಿಡ್-19 ಲಸಿಕೆ ಆರಂಭಿಕ ಹಂತದ ಮಾನವ ಪ್ರಯೋಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯವನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಫಿಜರ್‌ನ ಯು.ಎಸ್. ಫಿಜರ್ ಲಿಮಿಟೆಡ್‌ನ ಷೇರುಗಳು‌  ಶೇಕಡ 5.19 ರಷ್ಟು ಏರಿಕೆಯಾಗಿ ರೂ .4180.00 ಕ್ಕೆ ವಹಿವಾಟು ನಡೆಸಿದವು.

ಎಂ ಅಂಡ್ ಎಂ ತನ್ನ ಜೂನ್ ಮಾರಾಟದ ಅಂಕಿ ಅಂಶಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಟ್ರಾಕ್ಟರುಗಳ ಬೇಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಕಂಪನಿಯ ಒಟ್ಟು ಟ್ರಾಕ್ಟರ್ ಮಾರಾಟವು  ಶೇಕಡ 10 ರಷ್ಟು ಏರಿಕೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದು, 2019 ರ ಜೂನ್ ಮಾರಾಟಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಲಿಸಿದರೆ ದೇಶೀಯ ಮಾರಾಟವು ಶೇಕಡ 12 ರಷ್ಟು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿದೆ. ಎಂ ಅಂಡ್ ಎಂ ಷೇರುಗಳು  ಶೇಕಡ 6.42 ಏರಿಕೆ ಕಂಡು ರೂ. 531.00 ಜೂನ್ ತಿಂಗಳಿನ ಒಟ್ಟು ಮಾರಾಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಜಾಜ್ ಆಟೋ  ಶೇಕಡ 31 ರಷ್ಟು ಕುಸಿತ ಕಂಡಿದೆ. ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ, ಕಂಪನಿಯ ಮಾರಾಟವು ತಿಂಗಳ ಆಧಾರದ ಮೇಲೆ  ಶೇಕಡ 119 ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿದೆ. ಬಜಾಜ್ ಆಟೋದ ಷೇರುಗಳು ಶೇಕಡ 1.24 ರಷ್ಟು ಏರಿಕೆಯಾಗಿ ರೂ. 2877.25.

ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 27 ರಿಂದ ಯು.ಎಸ್. ಡಾಲರ್ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಭಾರತೀಯ ರೂಪಾಯಿ ಗರಿಷ್ಠ ಮುಕ್ತಾಯದ ಹಂತದಲ್ಲಿ ರೂ .75.01 ಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊನೆಗೊಂಡಿತು. ಕರೋನವೈರಸ್ ಪ್ರಕರಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಯು.ಎಸ್. ಅತಿದೊಡ್ಡ ಏಕದಿನ ಏರಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ವರದಿ ಮಾಡಿದ ನಂತರ ತೈಲ ಬೆಲೆಗಳು ಇಂದಿನ ವಹಿವಾಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರಿ ಕುಸಿತ ಕಂಡವು. ಕೋವಿಡ್-19 ಲಸಿಕೆ ಪ್ರಯೋಗದ ಫಲಿತಾಂಶಗಳು ತ್ವರಿತ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಚೇತರಿಕೆಗಾಗಿ ಹೂಡಿಕೆದಾರರಲ್ಲಿ ಭರವಸೆಯನ್ನು ಪುನರುಜ್ಜೀವನಗೊಳಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಕಳೆದ ಸೆಷನ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಗರಿಷ್ಠ ಹಿಟ್ ಅನ್ನು ಸರಾಗಗೊಳಿಸುವ ಇಂದಿನ ವಹಿವಾಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿನ್ನವು ಕಡಿಮೆಯಾಗಿದೆ.

Force Motors commissioned “1000 New Traveller Ambulances to fight against Covid”

Bengaluru, 2nd July 2020 : In view of the surge in cases anticipated with the easing of the lockdown, state governments and local administrations are going all out to strengthen Health Care Infrastructure in their jurisdiction. Force Motors the Pune based auto major is one of the few companies that has developed in house capability to manufacture and supply full range of ambulances that are ready to use from day one and also comply with all the provisions of the recently introduced National Ambulance Code.

Type B Ambulance is a basic ambulance that is meant primarily  for transport of patients who do not require any treatment while in transit to the hospital whereas Type C or Basic Life Support Ambulance is meant for transporting patients who require basic monitoring while in transit and may require non invasive airway management. And the Type D Ambulance or Advanced Life Support Ambulance is equipped to treat critical patients requiring intensive monitoring and invasive airway management. In order to fight this pandemic the state governments and local administration are planning to have a mix of all types of ambulances so that they can be deployed as the situation warrants.

Force Motors supplied to the Govt of Andhra Pradesh over one thousand ambulances including 130 advanced life support ambulances, 282 basic life support ambulances and over 656 mobile medical units that will significantly upgrade the healthcare infrastructure, improve reach and reduce response time. The Mobile Medical units delivered to Govt of Andhra Pradesh are also equipped with COVID screening facilities and can be accessed by the citizens by dialling 104.
