Bangalore, United Coffee Association of India (UCAI) is a representation of stakeholders in the Indian Coffee industry such as green coffee dealers, manufactures of Roast and ground coffee, Coffee machinery Manufacturers and dealers of coffee equipment, cafes, coffee labs and coffee professionals to work for consolidation of the Indian Coffee Industry by undertaking beneficial programs and activities.

United Coffee Association of India (UCAI) and Coffee Board of India are organizing THE NATIONAL BARISTA CHAMPIONSHIP 2019 from 16th – 17st Feb 2019 at Orion East Mall, Bengaluru. Participants from various parts of the country would be competing in this event.

The competition has 3 rounds of elimination. Each barista would be preparing and presenting 4 cups each of espressos, milk beverage and signature drink which will be evaluated and judged by certified jury to identify the best in the various categories of beverages.

The preliminary round will be between 12th to 14th Feb’19 at Centenary Building, FKCCI, Bengaluru and the semifinals and finals would be on 16th & 17th Feb’19. The head Judge for the competition would be Ms. Emma Markland, who is international representative from World Coffee Events. The winner of National Barista Competition would represent India at the World Barista Championship to be held at Boston, during April 2019.

7th February, 2019, Bengaluru: Concerned over the low to average voter turnouts especially in urban areas dur vibrant ing the most crucial event in a democracy-the Elections, The Commoners have submitted a 4 point memorandum to the Election mission of India, that seeks to address the voter’s apathy and offer possible ways of getting them to the poll booths to exercise their franchise. It is very critical that maximum people turnout to vote on a given day or voting and en sure democracy wins. This is very essential for the success of our nation.

As a concerned citizen group of this nation, the following suggestions were made in the strong belief that it will increase the voter turnout percentage.

1) Prohibition of liquor sales & service for 2 days before the election & on the day of election

2) Closure of all holiday homes, resorts, clubs, etc for 1 day before election & on the day of election so voters don’t treat the election day as a holiday and travel outside instead of voting Also a mid week day for voting would be appropriate.

3) Documenting the non-voters and exploring options for penalizing people who fail to exercise their franchise without a valid reason.

4) Publishing a non-voters list on a online platform (preferably on ECl website) which must be linked to bills providing basic amenities like Water Electricity – Cooking Gas etc. These bills can either b discounted for voters or hiked for non voters.

ಈ ಕುರಿತು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಮಾನವ ಹಕ್ಕುಗಳ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಭ್ರಷ್ಟಾಚಾರ ನಿರ್ಮೂಲನಾ ಸಮಿತಿ ( 8 ) ಗೆ ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಬೇನಾಮಿ ( ಮೂಕರ್ಜಿ ) ದೂರುಗಳು ಬಂದಿರುತ್ತವೆ . ಆದ ಕಾರಣ ಶ್ರೀ ವಿಶ್ವಕರ್ಮ ಸಮಾಜ ವಿಕಾಸ ಆ ಆ ನ ಪದಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ತಾವು ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರವನ್ನು ಗೌರವದಿಂದ ತೆರವುಗೊಳಿಸಿ ಸಮಾಜಕ್ಕೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಸಂದೇಶವನ್ನು ನೀಡುವುದು ಉತ್ತಮ ಮಾರ್ಗ , ಇಲ್ಲವಾದರೆ ಮುಂದಿನ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾನೂನು ರೀತಿ ಭ್ರಷ್ಟಾಚಾರ ನಡೆಯುವುದನ್ನು ಹಾಗೂ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ವಿವಿಧೆಡೆಗಳಿಂದ ಬರುವ ಭಕ್ತಾಧಿಗಳಿಗೆ ವಂಚನೆಯಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಖಂಡಿಸಿ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಮಾನವ ಹಕ್ಕುಗಳ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಭ್ರಷ್ಟಾಚಾರ ನಿರ್ಮೂಲನಾ ಸಮಿತಿ ( ರಿ ) ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಕಾನೂನು ರೀತಿ ಹೋರಾಟ ಮಾಡಬೇಕಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ಪತ್ರಿಕಾ ಗೋಷ್ಥಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ.
