Ujjivan Small Finance Bank ties-up with Veefin Solutions Ltd to offer better supply chain finance offerings to MSMEs
Bengaluru, 2024: Ujjivan Small Finance Bank (Ujjivan SFB) enters into a strategic partnership with Veefin Solutions, a leading Supply Chain Finance (SCF) solutions provider, to offer robust supply chain finance offerings, to meet the working capital needs for MSMEs.
Through this partnership, Ujjivan SFB will leverage Veefin’s platform that offers end-to-end solutions on supply chain financing. This includes supplier and vendor onboarding, credit underwriting through Loan Origination Solution (LOS), transaction management via Loan Management Solution (LMS), and collections handled through a Delinquency Management solution. These components will be further complemented by comprehensive analysis facilitated by Veefin’s Reporting & Business Intelligence solution.
A 2019 report on the MSME Sector by an RBI Committee estimated the overall Credit gap in the sector at Rs 20-25 lakh crore##. According to another industry report, out of over 64 million MSMEs in India, only 14 per cent have access to credit^^. The number of MSMEs in the country is expected to grow from 6.3 crore to approximately 7.5 crore in the coming years, growing at a projected CAGR of 2.5 %**.
Recognizing the pivotal role of technology to address this Credit gap, the partnership with Veefin aligns with Ujjivan SFB’s objective of extending financial solutions to the MSMEs across the nation. This initiative will facilitate Ujjivan SFB to provide working capital loans to MSMEs via supply chain financing, effectively addressing the gaps left by traditional model.

ಭರತನಾಟ್ಯ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆ ವಿಶೇಷ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಅಂತಾ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದ್ದರೂ ಕೂಡಾ ವಿವಿಧ ಸಾಸಂಕೃತಿಕ ಪ್ರಾಕಾರಗಳಿಗೆ ಬೇಡಿಕೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಭರತನಾಟ್ಯದ ಜೊತೆ ಗಾಯನ ಏಕಪಾತ್ರಾಭಿನಯ ಚಲನಚಿತ್ರ ಗೀತೆ ಹಾಡುಗಾರಿಕೆ ಚಲನಚಿತ್ರ ಗೀತೆಗೆ ನೃತ್ಯ ಹೀಗೆ ಹಲವರಿಗೆ ಅವಕಾಶ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಡಲಾಯಿತು.

ಈ ಮೇಲ್ಕಂಡ ವಿಷಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಭ್ರಷ್ಟಾಚಾರಗಳ ರೂವಾರಿಯಾದ 420 ಅಶ್ವಿನ್ರಾವ್ ಮತ್ತು ಶಿವಾಜಿನಗರ ಹಾಗೂ ಆಂಧ್ರಪ್ರದೇಶದ ನಲ್ಲೂರು ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಸೈಲೆಂಟ್ ಕಿಲ್ಲರ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಕರೀಂಲಾಲ್ ತೆಲಗಿಯ ಶಿಷ್ಯನೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಂಡು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರಿಗೆ ವಂಚನೆ ಮಾಡಿರುವ 840 ಕಲೀಲ್ ಹಾಗೂ ತಮಿಳುನಾಡಿನ 420 ಜಯರಾಜ್ ಇವರ ಮೇಲೆ 1400 ಪ್ರಕರಣಗಳು ದಾಖಲಾಗಿದ್ದು 22000 ಜನರಿಗೆ ವಂಚನೆ ಮಾಡಿರುವ ಈ 420 ಗಳನ್ನು ಕೂಡಲೇ ಬಂಧಿಸಿ ನೊಂದ ಆಮಾಯಕರಿಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯ ಕೊಡಲು ಕೋರಿ ಪತ್ರಿಕಾಗೋಷ್ಠಿಯನ್ನು ಕರೆದಿರುತ್ತೇವೆ. ಕಾರಣವೇನೆಂದರೆ, ಭಾರತ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರ ಬಂದು 75 ವರ್ಷಗಳು ಕಳೆಯುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದರೂ, ಸಂವಿಧಾನ ಅರ್ಪಣೆಯಾಗಿ 75 ವರ್ಷಗಳು ಕಳೆಯುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದರೂ ಸಹ ಈ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಭ್ರಷ್ಟಾಚಾರ ಮಾತ್ರ ನಿಲ್ಲಲೇ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಕಾರಣವೇನೆಂದರೆ ಕಾನೂನನ್ನೇ ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ಪಾಲಿಸದಂತಹ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಿಂದ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರಿಗೆ ತುಂಬಾ ನೋವಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಕಾನೂನನ್ನು ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ಹತೋಟಿಗೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳದೇ ಇರುವುದೇ ಆಮಾಯಕರಿಗೆ ಆಗುತ್ತಿರುವ ಅನಾನುಕೂಲ, ಉದಾಹರಣೆಗೆ ಅಶ್ವಿನ್ರಾವ್ ರವರ ಮೇಲೆ ನೊಂದ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರು ಬಾಣಸವಾಡಿ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ 2021-22 ನೇ ಸಾಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ದೂರು ನೀಡಿದರೂ ಸಹ ದೂರನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರಿಗೆ ಅನಾನುಕೂಲ ಮಾಡಿರುವುದೇ ದುರಾದೃಷ್ಟಕರವಾಗಿದೆ ಅತ್ತಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಪಕ್ಷದಿಂದ್ ಅಶ್ವಿನ್ ರಾವ್ 22000 ರ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿರು ಇದನ್ನೇ ಮತ್ತೆ ಮುಂದುವರೆದ ಹಾದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಶ್ವಿನ್ ರಾವ್ ಮತ್ತು ಜೈರಾಜ್, ಕಲೀಲ್ ಈ ಮೂರೂ ಜನ ಸೇರಿಕೊಂಡು ಮೊದಲನೇ ಬಾರಿಗೆ ಆಂಧ್ರದ ನೆಲ್ಲೂರು ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರಿಗೆ ಊಹಾಪೋಹಗಳನ್ನು ಹಬ್ಬಿಸಿ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಸಭೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ, ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರಿಗೆ ಸುಳ್ಳು ಆಶ್ವಾಸನೆಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರಿ ಮುಂದೆಯೇ ನೀವು 2 ಲಕ್ಷ ಮೊದಲನೇ ಕಂತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಮಗೆ ನೀಡಿದರೆ ನಿಮಗೆ 2 ತಿಂಗಳಲ್ಲಿ 20 ಲಕ್ಷ ಕೊಡುತ್ತೇವೆ. ನೀವು 20 ಲಕ್ಷ ನೀಡಿದರೆ 2 ತಿಂಗಳಲ್ಲಿ 1 ಕೋಟಿ ನೀಡುತ್ತೇವೆ. ಎಂಬ ಸುಳ್ಳು ಸುದ್ದಿಗಳನ್ನು ಹಬ್ಬಿಸಿ ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿರನ್ನು ಪರಿಚಯ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಜನ ನಂಬುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಜನರಿಂದ ಹಣವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಇವರು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡ ಹಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬ ಇಬ್ಬರಿಗೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ಹಣವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿ ಹಣ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳಿಂದ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರಿಗೆ ಸುಳ್ಳು ಆಶ್ವಾಸನಗಳನ್ನು ಬಹಿರಂಗಪಡಿಸಿ ಜನರು ನಂಬುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವರಿ ಮನೆಗಳಿಗೂ ಸಹ ಭೇಟಿ ಮಾಡಿ ಸುಆರು 500 ಕೋಟಿಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ನಲ್ಲೂರು ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲೇ ಮೊದಲನೇ ಬಾರಿಗೆ ವಂಚನೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಎರಡನೇ ಬಾರಿ ಪಾಂಡಿಚೇರಿಗೆ ಜಂಪ್ ಮಾಡಿ ನಂತರ ತಮಿಳುನಾಡಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಅನಂತರ ಗೋವಾಕ್ಕೆ ಜಿಗಿದು ಮತ್ತೆ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದು ಯಥಾಸ್ಥಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಮುಂದುವರೆಸಿ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರಿಗೆ ಸುಮಾರು ತಿಂಗಳು ಕಾಣದೆ. ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಓಡಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಇರುವಂತಹ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ದಿನಾಂಕ 6/3/2024 ರಂದು ಬಾಣಸವಾಡಿ ಸಮೀಪದ ಅವರ ಮನೆಯ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರ ಕೈಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಬಿದ್ದ ನಂತರ ಅವನನ್ನು ಪೊಲೀಸರಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಲೆಂದು ನೊಂದ ಅಮಾಯಕರು ಅವನನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದುಕೊಂಡ ಕೂಡಲೇ ಅವನೇ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರಿಗೆ ಸುಮಾರು 40 ಕೋಟಿಗಳಷ್ಟು ಬೆಲೆ ಬಾಳುವ ನಕಲಿ ಚೆಕ್ಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡಿ ನಂತರ ಅವನೇ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರನ್ನು ಯಾಮಾರಿಸಿ ಕಂಟ್ರೋಲ್ ರೂಮ್ ಗೆ ಕರೆ ಮಾಡಿ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕಿಡ್ಯಾಪ್ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಯಾರೋ ಅಪರಿಚಿತರು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ ಮೇರೆಗೆ ಬಾಣಸವಾಡಿ ಸಮೀಪದ ಕುಳ್ಳಪ್ಪ ಸರ್ಕಲ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಚರ್ಚೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಆಶ್ವಿನ್ ರಾವ್ ಹಾಗೂ ನೊಂದ ಆಮಾಯಕರನ್ನು ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದು ಠಾಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಕೂಡಿ ಹಾಕಿ, ಅಮಾಯಕರ ಮೇಲೆ ಕ್ರೈಂ ನಂ. 166/2024 ರಂತೆ ಸುಮಾರು 7 ರಿಂದ 15 ಮಂದಿ ಮೇಲೆ ದೂರನ್ನು ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಇದನ್ನು ಪರಿಶೀಲಿಸಿದ ನಂತರ ಅಶ್ವಿನ್ ರಾವ್ ನೀಡಿರುವ ಸುಳ್ಳು ಹೇಳಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ದೂರು ದಾಖಲಾಗಿರುವುದು ಕಂಡು ಬಂದ ತಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಬೇಟಿ ಮಾಡಿ ನೊಂದ ಅಮಾಯಕರನ್ನು ಠಾಣೆಯಿಂದ ಬಿಡಿಸಿ ಪುನಃ ಠಾಣಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಕರೆದ ನಂತರ ಠಾಣೆಗೆ ಬರುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಸಹಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸುಮಾರು 7 ಮಂದಿ ಕಡೆಯಿಂದ ಬರೆಯಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ದಿನಾಂಕ 7/3/2024 ರಂದು ನೊಂದ ಅಮಾಯಕರನ್ನು ಮನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ.
ನಂತರ ಠಾಣಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ನೊಂದ ಅಮಾಯಕರುಗಳ ಕರೆ ಮಾಡಿ ನೀವು ಠಾಣೆಗೆ ಬನ್ನಿ ಮತ್ತು ನೀವು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ಚೆಕ್ಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬನ್ನಿ ಎಂದು ಸುಮಾರು ಬಾರಿ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಅಮಾಯಕರಿಗೂ ಠಾಣೆಯಿಂದ ಕರೆಗಳು ಬಂದ ಕೂಡಲೇ ನೊಂದ ಆಮಾಯಕರು ಕರೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸದೇ ಇದ್ದ ಹಿನ್ನಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವು ದಲಿತ ಮುಖಂಡರಿಗೂ ಕರೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಭುರವರ ಮನೆಗೆ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕರೆಯಿಸಿ ಠಾಣೆಗೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬರಲು ಆದೇಶ ನೀಡಿದ ಮೇರೆಗೆ ಆದೇಶವನ್ನು ಪಾಲಿಸಲು ಶ್ರಮಪಟ್ಟು ನೊಂದ ಅಮಾಯಕರನ್ನು ಪ್ರಭುರವರು ನೆಲ್ಲೂರಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಕರೆತರಲು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ರಸ್ತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಪಘಾತವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಭುರವರ ಕಾಲು ಮುರಿದಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಆಷ್ಟಾದರೂ ಠಾಣಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಅವರನ್ನು ಬಿಡದೆ ಠಾಣೆಗೆ ಕರೆಯಿಸಿ ಅವರ ವಿಚಾರಣೆ ಮಾಡುವುದೇ ಸುಮಾರು 15 ದಿನಗಳಿಂದ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಇದರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನೊಂದಂತಹ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಅಶ್ವಿನ್ರವರ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಿಗೂ ಮತ್ತು ಗೃಹ ಸಚಿವರಿಗೂ ಮನವಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿ ಸುಮಾರು ದಿನಗಳು ಕಳೆದರೂ ಇದುವರೆವಿಗೂ ನ್ಯಾಯ ಎಂಬುವುದು ದೊರೆಯದಿದ್ದುದರಿಂದ ಕೂಡಲೇ ಕ್ರಮ ಜರುಗಿಸಬೇಕು ಇಲ್ಲದ್ದಿದ್ದಲ್ಲಿ 17-05-2024 ರಂದು ಉಗ್ರ ಹೋರಾಟ ಮಾಡಲಾಗುವುದು ಎಂದು ಬಿ. ಆರ್. ಮುನಿರಾಜು, ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕರು ಹಾಗೂ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು ಪ್ರೆಸ್ ಕ್ಲಬ್ ಆಫ್ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಪತ್ರಿಕಾ ಗೋಷ್ಠಿ ಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
The Federation of Student Organisations, Karnataka released the ‘Student-Youth Manifesto:Bengaluru Lok Sabha Elections 2024’At a press meet held at Press Club of Bengaluru on 30th March, 2024 at the Press Club of Bangalore. During the event, SIO State President -Zeeshan Aaqil Siddique, Dalita Vidyarthi Parishad State President – Srinath Pujari, KVS State President – Sarovar Benkikere, Aratrika – All India Students’ Association, Secretary of Ambedkar Students’ Association of Agricultural University – Venkatesh, Pavan – Bengaluru Snatakkottara mattu Samshodhana Vidyarthigala Okkuta, Secretariat Member of All India Forum for Right To Education – Shashank and Manifesto Co-Ordinator Mohammed Peer Latageri alongside other student leaders were present. Addressing the press conference, the student leaders alerted the political parties to not take for granted the students and youth of this country who are keeping a close-eye on all the political happenings. They highlighted how all major political parties seem to have suddenly awakened as they try to woo voters in their favour after a deep-slumber where they failed to address people’s issues. Even so, they stated that the students and youth had hoped that the elections would be fought on people’s issues. However, in the run-up to the elections, all the political parties seem to have come to a mutual pact of fighting this election on non-issues; driven mainly by the distribution of money and alcohol alongside spreading hatred in the name of caste and religion which necessitated an immediate intervention by the youth. Through their Students-Youth manifesto, the organisations have put forth demands pertaining to twin issues that have deep impacts on by the youth community – education and employment. They opined that addressing these twin demands holds the key to build India as a welfare state, a value enshrined the constitution under Article 45 and Article 16 that provide for Right To Education alongside Right to Equal Opportunity for all citizens in matters of employment.
Their key demands include: Demands pertaining to Education: Ensure effective implementation of the Right to Education Act with immediate effect Shift back the subject of education to the state list Spend atleast 6% of GDP on education as per recommendations of the Kothari Commisision. The government must shed its unwillingness to fund education. Ensure effective implementation of Reservations provided for SC, ST, OBC, Persons with Disability and Transgender community students. Extend the provision of reservation to even Private unaided institutions Stop contractualization of teaching and non-teaching posts and their deployment for non-academic tasks and propagandas. The Right to Education Act must be extended to include higher education and early childhood care and education (ECCE). All attempts to close down, merge and/or ‘rationalize’ government schools and anganwadis must be stopped immediately. Eradicate malnutrition by implementing breakfast scheme in addition to the now existing mid-day meal schemes. Additionally, eggs must also be provided every day to students up to class 10 right from Anganwadi. To safeguard the interests of children and parents in private schools, colleges and universities and to make them accountable to the masses, formulate and enforce strict comprehensive laws including fee regulation, minimum standards and norms for quality education. Provide in every district adequate number of hostels for Dalits, Adivasis, OBCs and Minorities, with proper facilities and services. Withdraw FYUP, CUET, NEET and JEE and other centralised admission tests All attempts to distort history and introduce obscurantist courses must immediately be halted. Enact Rohit Act to eradicate institutional discrimination. Alongside, Gender Sensitization Committee Against Sexual Harassments (GS-CASH) and SC/ST and Minority committees/cells with quasi-judicial powers must be established to address sexual harassment in higher educational institutions. Restore campus democracy, academic autonomy, and freedom of expression. Ensure that students’ unions are recognised by all universities and colleges. Democratic processes and elections must guide the functioning of students’ unions in every college and university. Establish all future public higher education institutions in socio-economically and educationally backward districts. Establish at least one government medical college and hospital in each district of the country. Demands pertaining to Employment: The government to allocate necessary funds for MGNERGA, estimated to be 2.5 Lakh crore, and ensure its effective implementation. In addition to the same, a job scheme for Urban Poor, similar to that of MGNREGA must be instituted. The allocations for this scheme should be in-line with the estimate of costs – Rs. 3.2 Lakh crore. Increase social sector spending to at least 30% of the budget enabling the creation of more government jobs. Fill up all vacant posts in the government machinery immediately. Scrap the new labour codes and restore sectoral laws Formulate a comprehensive Law that upholds the rights of informal workers extending Core Labour Standards to all segments of workers including the wage labourers, the self-employed, the migrant workers and platform workers. The government must immediately withdraw all proposals to privatize public sector enterprises which are the last vestiges of jobs with security.
The student leaders also shared that they will take the manifesto amidst the youth of the state and urge them to vote only for political parties and candidates that address their demands.
