Bengaluru: A special Sri Anantha Padmanabha Vrata was performed at the Nanjangud Sri Guru Raghavendra Swamy Mutt in Jayanagar 5th Block, Bengaluru, with the blessings and guidance of His Holiness Sri 1008 Sri Subudhendra Tirtha Sripadangalavaru.
The religious ceremony was conducted under the leadership of senior manager of the Mutt, R.K. Vadindra Acharya. Priests Ramachandra Acharya and Krishnacharya performed the rituals, including the installation of the deity on a specially decorated golden throne, worship of the Anantha Daara (Dhōra Granthi), and recitation of the Vrata Katha, followed by Mahamangalarati.
According to Nandakishore Acharya, special sankalpa was performed for the devotees who had undertaken the Anantha Padmanabha Vrata. A separate kalasha was placed before each group of devotees, and 108 couples participated in the special Anantha Kalasha Puja. The devotees later received teertha and prasada and sought the blessings of Sri Hari, Vayu and Guru Rayaru.
As part of the celebrations, the Brindavana of Sri Guru Raghavendra Swamy was adorned with a special Ratna Kavacha decoration, adding to the spiritual ambience of the Mutt. Hundreds of devotees visited the Mutt to have darshan of Guru Rayaru and received teertha, phala and mantrakshate.
The special rituals and elaborate decoration drew a large number of devotees, who participated in the religious proceedings and sought the blessings of Sri Guru Raghavendra Swamy.
