Aimed at promoting cleaner , greener ways of commuting and living this flagship cycling event witnessed over 1000 avid cyclists from across Bengaluru pedal their way for the cause of the environment , including many Embassy REIT office park users . Located in the heart of North Bengaluru and spread over 120 acres . Embassy Manyata is one of India’s largest office parks with over 14 msf total area .

Embassy Pedal for the Planet featured six competition categories , including a 40 – km pro – elite ride open to men and women above the age of 16 to encourage participation from professional athletes . There was also a 25 – km amateur ride open to men and women over the age of 14 , a 15 – km fun ride open to all over the age of 13 and a 1 km fun ride open to children under the age of 12 .
Embassy REIT has donated all funds raised at the event to non – profit causes for the upliftment of underprivileged children and transformation of community schools into institutes of excellence .
Today’s certificate distribution event was addressed by Mr. Subramanya Sharma ( Chairman , Sudeeksha Group ) who is also the Grandson of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishna , The Ex – President of India .
HK Cyber Security Foundation was founded and kick – started in the year 2019 , inaugurated by Former ADGP Shri . Sanjay Sahay IPS along with other dignitaries at The Jain Management Institutions Auditorium .
The objective of this foundation is to educate and train Govt . college and financially challenged students to become cyber security professionals at Zero Cost . Just so that they need not work for any BPOS or as food delivering agents etc , with this as his mission and vision our Founder and President Dr.Harsha , PhD ( Info Sec ) approached the Director of Collegiate Education , requesting the Govt . of Karnataka to nominate a few colleges . The department had suggested a few colleges . Hence HKCS foundation has selected Govt . First Grade College , started training their students with almost 80 % completion of training at zero cost to the students .
It was unfortunate , that during their onset , the pandemic started and all colleges were shut down and they were not having any facilities to take Online Classes . Hence Post pandemic they started recollecting training and interactions with college management and students for the successful conclusion of their course and training . With continuous . efforts from Dr. Harsha and the Management team of HKCS foundation , they were able to successfully conclude with the first batch .
Meanwhile , HKCS Foundation started working on computer Lab renovation of the above – mentioned college , as the lab was not in functioning conditions . consequently , HKCS Foundation came out with the strategy to offer cyber security courses to other institutions where students could afford to pay the course fees . Then they engaged with St.Joseph College and began to offer paid courses , With this small revenue generation , they started supporting Govt . First Grade college further and for the upcoming batch of students . During the pandemic , their parent entity HKIT Security Solutions supported the Foundation Activities without any challenges .
HKIT Security Solutions also approached many of its clients for supporting this initiative and continues to put efforts to date .
With the commitment to charity and to enlighten financially challenged students across Karnataka and India , their journey kick – started with a single dot.Which is expected to spread across Karnataka and other states of India .
Stem Cell donors came forward to motivate and encourage others to register as stem cell donors and join the fight against blood cancer and disorders
14 September 2022 , Bengaluru : Ahead of World Marrow Donor Day , blood stem Cell donors from Bangalore came forward and narrated their experience of saving the life of a blood cancer patient , and how life transforming the experience has been for them . They also requested others to join the fight against blood cancer and blood disorders by registering as potential stem cell donors and possibly help someone to live . DKMS BMST Foundation India organized an event to mark World Marrow Donor Day which falls on the 3rd Saturday of September . To mark this day ,
DKMS BMST Foundation India felicitated the donors Shaina , Arushit , Debraj , Daniel and Suresh who were lucky to have donated their blood stem cells recently and have become proud lifesavers .
Patrick Paul , CEO , DKMS BMST Foundation India , said , ” As per the World Marrow Donor Association , there are over 40 million donors registered across the globe . Only 0.5 million of these are from India . In India , there is a huge demand and supply gap in patient looking for stem cell transplant from a matching donor . Only 30 % of the patients are able to get matching stem cell from their family members the rest 70 % of the patients are looking for a matching unrelated donor . India is an ancient population with a diverse ethnicity , therefor it becomes very important that more and more people from varied ethnic background to come forward to register as a stem cell donor . Today , only 0.04 % of the total population is registered as a potential blood stem cell donor . “
Over 27500 , people have already registered in Karnataka with DKMS – BMST donor stem cell registry and over 70000 all over India . The foundation has also facilitated 67 blood stem cell transplants in the last three years across India ..

Dr. Sunil Bhat , Director & Clinical Lead , Pediatric Hematology , Oncology and Blood & Marrow Transplantation , Narayana Health said , ” India has a very high burden of blood cancer and disorder patients , who due to the lack of potential matching donor are looking at a bleak future . Today , treating and managing blood cancer and blood disorder is possible with a stem cell transplant . Blood stem cell transplant is typically a procedure that replaces unhealthy bone marrow cells of the patient with healthy cells . Peripheral blood stem cell is collected from the donor via a similar process to blood platelet donation . “

“ARTIST for Her , HSSC and AHPI collaborate to upskill 1 million healthcare workers across India , as part of Vision 2022 Skill India”
Bengaluru based Asian Research & Training Institute for Skill Transfer has resolved to train 1,000 frontline maternal healthcare workers at a cost of INR 1 crore over the next year across Karnataka to strengthen the delivery of quality maternal healthcare services in the public and private sectors . Further to scale up this initiative tripartite agreement has been signed between ARTIST for Her ( Asian Research & Training Institute for Skill Transfer ) , Healthcare Sector Skill Council ( HSSC ) , and Association of Healthcare Providers India ( AHPI ) to train 1 million frontline healthcare workers across the country . To provide quality healthcare to pregnant women , mothers , and newborn babies , in accordance with the standards set by the WHO and the Government of India , as part of Vision 2022 Skill India.
Speaking about this initiative , Dr. Hema Divakar , Chair of Well Woman Healthcare Committee at FIGO ( International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics ) & Chairperson , ARTIST for Her , We , ARTIST for Her , as a premier training institute , will train about 1,000 frontline maternal care workers ( ASHA staff , nurses , and medical practitioners ) across public and private sectors to strengthen the healthcare delivery system . The initiative leverages technology to achieve successful skill transfer through a proven and reliable digital platform .
” Dr. Hema further added ” A pilot initiative was successfully rolled out in Karnataka with the support of AHPI . This will be extended in phases to Tamil Nadu , Madhya Pradesh , Maharashtra later to the rest of the country . For the 30 million deliveries in India , the proportion of healthcare workers with skills specified by WHO is weak . It is our target to raise the availability of this pool of skilled workforce to be placed in maternity units , public or private hospitals to care for pregnant mothers , newborn mothers , or post – delivery stage in alignment with WHO , FOGSI , Manyata , and government standards . This will go a long way in reducing maternal mortality rate , infant mortality rate and also address long – term issues , such as anemia , obesity , hypertension , ” .
Dr. Alexander Thomas , President , AHPI said ” We will be training 15,000 healthcare workers on priority as part of this arrangement and cover it in phases to reach 1 million.AHPI will identify the target groups for training , ARTIST for Her will undertake capacity building and HSSC will do the assessment and certification . Frontline healthcare workers with such certification can be readily employable by any maternal healthcare units ” . The initiative will also target capacity building of frontline workers at e – Sanjeevani clinics , Namma Clinicsin Karnataka .
Dr C N Ashwath Narayan , Honorable Minister of Skill Development , Entrepreneurship and Livelihood , Government of Karnataka , delivered a special session on ” Swasthya Bharat ” . ARTIST for Her , HSSC and AHPI submitted a proposal to the minister for training through a PPP model in Karnataka to create a larger pool of well – trained frontline maternal care professionals .
