Born on October 2, 1904, in Mughalsarai, Uttar Pradesh, Lal Bahadur Shastri rose from humble beginnings to become the second Prime Minister of independent India. His journey was marked by simplicity, discipline, patriotism and an unwavering commitment to public service.

Shastri ji actively participated in India’s freedom struggle and spent several years in British prisons.
