ಗೋಮಾಳ ಜಮೀನಿಗೆ ನಕಲಿ ದಾಖಲೆ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿ ಕೋಟ್ಯಾಂತರ ರೂಪಾಯಿ ಮೌಲ್ಯದ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಕಬಳಿಸುವ ಯತ್ನ ನಡೆದಿರುವ ಆರೋಪ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಗುಳಕಮಲೆ ಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೇಳಿಬಂದಿದೆ. ಕನಕಪುರ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ದೊಡ್ಡಾಲಹಳ್ಳಿಯ ಹೆಚ್. ಕೃಷ್ಣಪ್ಪ ಎಂಬವರ ಹೆಸರು ಈ ಪ್ರಕರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಂಚೂಣಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದು, ಇದರ ಹಿಂದೆ ಪ್ರಭಾವಿ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳ ‘ಕಾಣದ ಕೈ’ ಇದೆ ಎಂಬ ಅನುಮಾನ ಗ್ರಾಮಸ್ಥರು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ನಗರವು ವೇಗವಾಗಿ ರಿಯಲ್ ಎಸ್ಟೇಟ್ ಕೇಂದ್ರವಾಗಿ ಬೆಳೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆ, ಸುತ್ತಮುತ್ತಲಿನ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಜಮೀನುಗಳ ಬೆಲೆ ಏರಿಕೆಯಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ರಿಂಗ್ ರೋಡ್, ಪೆರಿಫೆರಲ್ ರಸ್ತೆ, ಬಿಸಿನೆಸ್ ಕಾರಿಡಾರ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಕೈಗಾರಿಕಾ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಘೋಷಣೆಗಳ ನಡುವೆ, ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಭೂಮಿಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಅಕ್ರಮ ಕಬಳಿಕೆ, ನಕಲಿ ದಾಖಲೆ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿ ಮಾರಾಟ ಮಾಡುವ ಪ್ರಕರಣಗಳು ಹೆಚ್ಚುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರಲ್ಲಿ ಆತಂಕ ಹುಟ್ಟಿಸಿದೆ.

ಗುಳಕಮಲೆ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಸರ್ವೆ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ 35ರಲ್ಲಿ ದಾಖಲಾಗಿರುವ ಗೋಮಾಳ ಜಮೀನಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ, ನಕಲಿ ದಾಖಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿ ರಿಜಿಸ್ಟ್ರೇಷನ್ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಗ್ರಾಮಸ್ಥರು ಆರೋಪಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ಕುರಿತು ಗುಳಕಮಲೆ, ನಲ್ಲಕ್ಕನ ದೊಡ್ಡಿ ಮತ್ತು ಕುಂಚಿಗರ ಪಾಳ್ಯ ಗ್ರಾಮಗಳ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳು ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಹಗರಣವನ್ನು ಬಹಿರಂಗಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಆರೋಪಗಳ ಪ್ರಕಾರ, ಸುಮಾರು 17 ಎಕರೆ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಒಂದೇ ಕುಟುಂಬದ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹಳೆಯ ಕೈಬರಹದ ದಾಖಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸಿ ಕಬಳಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಪಹಣಿ, ಆರ್‌ಟಿಸಿ, ಇಸಿ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ವಿವಿಧ ದಾಖಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಸರು ಸೇರಿಸಿರುವುದು ಹಲವು ಅನುಮಾನಗಳಿಗೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿದೆ. ಸರ್ಕಾರದಿಂದ ಯಾವುದೇ ರೀತಿಯ ಗ್ರಾಂಟ್ ಇಲ್ಲದೇ, ಸರ್ವೆ ಸ್ಕೆಚ್ ಇಲ್ಲದೇ ಹಾಗೂ ಪೋಡಿ ದುರಸ್ತಿ ಆಗದೇ ಇದ್ದರೂ, ಈ ಜಮೀನುಗಳನ್ನು ನಕಲಿ ರೈತರ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತೋರಿಸಿ, ನಂತರ ದೊಡ್ಡಾಲಹಳ್ಳಿಯ ಹೆಚ್. ಕೃಷ್ಣಪ್ಪ ಅವರ ಹೆಸರಿಗೆ ರಿಜಿಸ್ಟರ್ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಜಯನಗರ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯ ಕೋಣನಕುಂಟೆ ಉಪನೋಂದಣಿ ಕಚೇರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ 10 ಎಕರೆ ಮತ್ತು 7 ಎಕರೆ ಜಮೀನುಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕವಾಗಿ 2025 ಮತ್ತು 2026ರಲ್ಲಿ ರಿಜಿಸ್ಟರ್ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂಬುದು ದಾಖಲೆಗಳಿಂದ ತಿಳಿದುಬಂದಿದೆ. ಈ ವ್ಯವಹಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೋಟ್ಯಾಂತರ ರೂಪಾಯಿ ಹಸ್ತಾಂತರವಾಗಿರುವ ಶಂಕೆಯಿದೆ. ಸಂಬಂಧಿತ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಲಂಚ ಪಡೆದು ನಕಲಿ ದಾಖಲೆಗಳ ಆಧಾರದ ಮೇಲೆ ನೋಂದಣಿ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆ ನಡೆಸಿರುವ ಸಾಧ್ಯತೆಯೂ ವ್ಯಕ್ತವಾಗಿದೆ.

ಈ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ಸಂಬಂಧ ಡಾ. ಬಿ.ಆರ್. ಅಂಬೇಡ್ಕರ್ ಯುವಕ ಮಂಡಳಿಯ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಕೆ.ಟಿ. ಮುನಿಯಪ್ಪ ಅವರ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿವಿಧ ಇಲಾಖೆಗಳಿಗೂ ದೂರು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಧಿಕಾರಿ, ನೋಂದಣಿ ಮಹಾಪರಿವೀಕ್ಷಕ, ಮುದ್ರಾಂಕ ಆಯುಕ್ತ, ತಹಸೀಲ್ದಾರ್ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿತ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಮನವಿ ನೀಡಿದ್ದರೂ, ಯಾವುದೇ ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳದಿರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಅಸಮಾಧಾನ ವ್ಯಕ್ತವಾಗಿದೆ.

ಪ್ರೆಸ್ ಕ್ಲಬ್ ಆಫ್ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಪತ್ರಿಕಾಗೋಷ್ಠಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಮುಖಂಡರು, ಈ ಹಗರಣದ ಸಮಗ್ರ ತನಿಖೆ ನಡೆಸಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ವಶಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸಿದರು.

ಜೊತೆಗೆ, ನಕಲಿ ದಾಖಲೆ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿದವರ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಕಠಿಣ ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಂಡು ಬಂಧಿಸಬೇಕು, ಹಾಗೂ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ನಿಜವಾದ ಬಡ ರೈತರು, ಎಸ್‌ಸಿ/ಎಸ್‌ಟಿ ಸಮುದಾಯದವರಿಗೆ ಹಂಚಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಆಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದರು.
ಇದೇ ವೇಳೆ, ಸಂಬಂಧಿತ ಉಪನೋಂದಣಿ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯನ್ನು ಅಮಾನತು ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಕೂಡ ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

CPRI Bengaluru marks Ambedkar’s 135th birth anniversary with tributes, awards and cultural events

Bengaluru, April 29, 2026: The Central Power Research Institute (CPRI) commemorated the 135th birth anniversary of B. R. Ambedkar with a solemn and well-attended programme at its Bengaluru campus on Tuesday.

The event began with a welcome address by Dr T. Mallikarjuna Rao, Director, CPRI, who underlined the continued relevance of Ambedkar’s vision in shaping an inclusive and equitable society. This was followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and a floral tribute to the architect of the Indian Constitution, setting the tone for the occasion.

Delivering the keynote address, chief guest Dr G. B. Harisha-professor, philosopher and writer-spoke at length on Ambedkar’s ideals, his philosophical depth and his enduring constitutional vision. He emphasised the importance of upholding democratic values and social justice in contemporary times.

In her presidential address, Dr J. Sreedevi, Director General, CPRI, highlighted Ambedkar’s pivotal contributions to nation-building, particularly his relentless efforts towards social equality and empowerment of marginalised communities. She noted that his ideas continue to guide institutions in fostering fairness and inclusivity.

A key highlight of the programme was the presentation of Dr B. R. Ambedkar Merit Awards to outstanding students, recognising academic excellence and encouraging young achievers. The award ceremony was coordinated by Dr Kaliappan P, Additional Director, CPRI.

Shri Prabhakar C, Joint Director and liaison officer for SC/ST and persons with disabilities, delivered the vote of thanks, acknowledging the efforts of organisers and participants.

The celebration concluded on a vibrant note with a cultural performance by Dattashri Samskruthika Vedike, adding a festive touch to the proceedings.
The programme saw enthusiastic participation from staff and invitees, serving as a fitting tribute to the enduring legacy and ideals of Dr B. R. Ambedkar.

Apollo Hospitals expands ‘Seniors First’ geriatric care programme across Bengaluru

Bengaluru, April 29, 2026: Apollo Hospitals has expanded its dedicated geriatric care initiative, Seniors First, across multiple centres in the city, signalling a more structured push toward integrated elder care. After its initial launch at the Bannerghatta Road facility, the programme will now be available at units in Jayanagar, Sheshadripuram and Sarjapur, widening access for senior citizens.
The expansion coincides with the completion of one year of the programme at Bannerghatta Road, where it has helped shift the focus from episodic treatment to continuous, patient-centric care for the elderly.

With India’s ageing population rising steadily, healthcare providers are increasingly grappling with the complex needs of seniors, many of whom live with multiple chronic conditions and require ongoing medical attention. Fragmented care systems—often lacking coordination between hospital treatment, home care and follow-up—continue to impact outcomes and place added pressure on families and caregivers.

Against this backdrop, Seniors First has been positioned as a multidisciplinary model that integrates preventive care, wellness monitoring and post-treatment recovery into a single framework. Drawing on Apollo’s clinical experience, the programme combines personalised care plans, continuous monitoring and smoother transitions from hospital to home.

Dr Steve Paul, a geriatric specialist, said the approach aims to move beyond reactive treatment. “The focus is on anticipating risks, minimising complications and enabling structured recovery, so that seniors can maintain independence and quality of life for longer,” he said.

Akshay Oleti, regional CEO for Karnataka at Apollo Hospitals, said the initiative is designed to ensure continuity of care beyond hospital discharge. “Care does not stop at treatment. It extends into recovery and long-term wellness, which ultimately leads to better outcomes and reduces the burden on families,” he said.

The programme covers a broad spectrum of services, including preventive health assessments, chronic disease management and rehabilitation support. It caters to seniors recovering from orthopaedic procedures such as knee and hip replacements, cardiac interventions like bypass surgery and angioplasty, as well as neurological and oncology treatments.

A key aspect of the initiative is its emphasis on coordinated care outside hospital settings. By leveraging Apollo’s wider ecosystem—spanning home healthcare, diagnostics, pharmacy and digital platforms—the programme ensures continuity at every stage. Additional support includes dedicated helplines, priority consultations, concierge services and emergency coordination.

By addressing gaps such as limited home-based support and the absence of structured recovery pathways, Apollo Hospitals aims to set a new benchmark in geriatric care delivery. The expanded rollout, the hospital group said, is part of its broader effort to help senior citizens lead healthier, more independent lives.

ಹೊಸ ಕೇಂದ್ರವನ್ನು ಮುಂದಿನ ತಲೆಮಾರಿನ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಸೇವಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರವಾಗಿ ರೂಪಿಸಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಅತ್ಯಾಧುನಿಕ ಡಿಜಿಟಲ್ ಮೂಲಸೌಕರ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ರೋಗಿ-ಕೇಂದ್ರಿತ ವಿನ್ಯಾಸದ ಸಂಯೋಜನೆ ಹೊಂದಿದೆ. ಇದರಿಂದ ಸೇವಾ ದಕ್ಷತೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚುವುದರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ರೋಗಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಸುಲಭ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮಗ್ರ ಆರೈಕೆ ಲಭ್ಯವಾಗಲಿದೆ.

“ತ್ರಿತೀಯ ಮಟ್ಟದ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಮೂಲಸೌಕರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಬಲಪಡಿಸುವುದು ಅಗತ್ಯ. ಇಂತಹ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳು ನಾಗರಿಕರಿಗೆ ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟದ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಗೆ ಸುಲಭ ಪ್ರವೇಶ ಕಲ್ಪಿಸುತ್ತವೆ,” ಎಂದು ಸಚಿವ ದಿನೇಶ್ ಗುಂಡೂರಾವ್ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯಪಟ್ಟರು.

ಡಾ. ಸಿ. ಎನ್. ಮಂಜುನಾಥ್ ಅವರು, “ನೈತಿಕ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಕ್ಲಿನಿಕಲ್ ಪರಿಣತಿ ಆಧಾರಿತ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಸೇವೆಗಳು ಸಮಾಜಕ್ಕೆ ಅವಶ್ಯಕ,” ಎಂದರು.

ನಟ ರಮೇಶ್ ಅರವಿಂದ್, “ಉನ್ನತ ಮಟ್ಟದ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸಾ ಮಾನದಂಡಗಳನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಸಂತಸದ ಸಂಗತಿ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಸೋಮರ್ಸೆಟ್ ಇಂಡಸ್ ಹೆಲ್ತ್ ಕೇರ್ ಫಂಡ್‌ನ ಹಿರಿಯ ಪಾಲುದಾರ ರಮೇಶ್ ಕಣ್ಮನ್, “ಎನ್‌ ಯು ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗಳು ಪರಂಪರೆಯ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಆಧುನಿಕ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಮನ್ವಯಗೊಳಿಸಿ, ರೋಗಿಗಳಿಗೆ ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ದೀರ್ಘಕಾಲಿಕ ಆರೈಕೆಯನ್ನು ನೀಡುತ್ತಿವೆ,” ಎಂದು ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯಪಟ್ಟರು.

“Age Is Not Immunity in Breast Cancer, Emphasises Dr. Jayanthi S Thumsi”

In my clinical practice, I often encounter a persistent misconception-that breast cancer is largely a disease affecting postmenopausal women. While it is true that the overall risk increases with age, a significant number of patients continue to present at a younger age, and quite often at a more advanced stage.

In many of these cases, the early signs are either underestimated or overlooked, primarily due to an age-related bias that lowers suspicion among both patients and, at times, clinicians. This delay in recognising symptoms can adversely affect outcomes.
